Has the irony not been lost on everyone that SJ mom was a mistress who broke up a family and lived a life of regret and this character SJ works for a pig chaebol doing the same dirty work his mother experienced.  WTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

His mother has told him off when he admits to what he had done. But SJ has taken every step to humiliate and reject JS, overtly. It gives rise to conspiracy theories that he is working undercover, he is protecting his wife, he loves his wife not YR etc. etc. :smirk:

Don't we all love 'Live happily ever after' ? First time I read the Little Mermaid's real story, I was upset for weeks.

The studio promises more twists in eps 15 & 16, let's hope we get a happy ending for JS and the good people, even the not so good, VP's wife and President. Words cannot qualify what SJ, YR and VP deserve.

it will be nice if something that i imagine happen on the last episode,

after all the fights and dirty plays because of works both Sung Joon and Jung Sun realize that this is worthless. Jung Sun will hand the divorce paper then Sung Joon will resign from the company and going abroad maybe to work overseas, i guess with his spec he can get a job overseas. he will live happily with his mom.

for Yu Ri she will resign from the company and go somewhere to reset her pathetic life, and really doing good as she was, before all these storms happened.

the VP sister will be the chairwoman and all of her brothers won't cause any harm to the company again.

after years passing, Sung Joon will come back to Korea then he accidentally met a little girl, then the little girl's father will show up (I imagine its Shin Sung Rok) they exchange greetings then said goodbye, as the little girl and her father left Sung Joon watching them and he see Jung Sun approaching them, then the little girl will jump into her arms, the father will kiss her and they left happily in front of Sung Joon. At that time Sung Joon realize what his mother said was true. He really have no idea of what he lose.

@Banshee Dragon wow. That's some ending. I like it. Really like it. The kept gigolo part was the best.

Guys, I actually went to My daughter Seo Young again after VIP this week. So actually think he's improved.

Currently reading a book. Since VIP and Beautiful Love is probably going to frustrate me I am depending on War of Prosecutors to keep me Kdrama happy.

There is no way we are going to see a " traditional " happy ending for these 3. I am hoping the other support casts have better endings.

Thank God “Crash Landing on You” started. It was so nice watching a cute couple romance budding and get my mind off this one. I still love this

I saw that the new drama had started. Was waiting until more episodes were downloaded, but if it is a cute romance I will start watching it. I love the ML. Are you on a forum about this show?

WARNING! Long rant with zero coherence coming up!:sweatingbullets:

So guys, I was rewatching the earlier episodes (yes, I’m a masochist) and I came across a convo he had with YR in the car(ep.7). He clearly said that he wanted to end things for good and that he didn’t want his wife to find out about her because that would leave a lasting scar. This was after he found out that it was YR who send the message.

Shortly after this they have the auction event and SJ is still looking puppy-eyed at his wife but JS doesn’t give in. Later on, they have the incident with the thief and SJ gets hurt and that’s when he finally gives in and says that he’ll come clean to everything.

During the event YR is confined to backstage because of VP’s wife. YR, with the conversation in the car fresh on her mind, goes out to the dining hall and basically taunts the VP’s wife with her presence and that’s when the wife pours the wine over her. I feel like that was a calculated move and YR knew that she would get sympathy points from SJ(who saw the whole thing go down). This fool goes to her later when she texts him instead of his wife and she further plays poor-me-who-has-no one-but-you card and he falls for it. Later on is when he realises that there’s no coming back from his missteps so he goes and asks for divorce. And then breaks down in his car.

Up to this point, nothing screams ‘I’m in love with my mistress’ to me. He tried to stay with his wife and even after he asked for the divorce, he didn’t run back to YR like she thought he’d. She basically had to drag him by his feet to her side for him to go back to her. Even now when he’s with her, there’s coldness to their relationship and I’m sure YR feels that too.

YR really knows how to manipulate him though. She really played him like a violin but now that she has literally no more cards to play is when her true face will come out. She knows that he doesn’t really love her and now that he’s with her, she knows that he’s not with her in the way he was with JS. She knows that she’ll never take JS place and she’s frantically trying to do everything she can to erase JS from the equation.

That’s why she went to the roof and basically begged for JS to let him go. And that’s probably why she pushed her down the stairs(I really hope that it was her). She’s losing control of him now that she has no more cards to play and that’s driving her crazy side out.

I think the whole the thing will end with JS seeing her husband for what he really is and finally letting go of him. I don’t see her playing further role in the company politics as that was never really her thing. She’ll probably leave the company and start her own thing.

SJ will come face to face with the damage his uncontrolled greed did to his wife and he’ll either repent and sell out the VP or go down with him when his inferiority complex kicks in.

As for YR, she’ll probably continue to feel sorry for herself. I don’t think she’ll score a wealthy man to trap down if the affair comes out. She’ll forever be the disgraced daughter of Ha-family and that’ll probably drive her insane.

I think your predictions are dead on!

After realizing what a conman SJ turned out to be, I predict JS will run to the divorce court and nullify the marriage if that is even possible.

Whatever happens next I know the reconciliation ship has sailed. JS will end it and let him go down the inferno all on his own.

Yes. I agree. I can see it.

True words his mom told him. You don't know what you lost.

Agreed, his Mom was completely correct, I only wonder if she knows more than he does on some specific subjects - did she tell her about his father, is she pregnant, for instance.

I am interested to see if YR pushed her - 99% sure she did - and did he see it?  If so, is that not yet enough to see through the little manipulator?

Very well done drama, more as well done please :)

If the next two episodes consist of

JS is unconscious,

then wakes up, sees a remorseful SJ,

then she goes home ( with SW or father or biker friend),

then she gives the signed divorce papers to SJ then ....

SJ goes to YR's apartment ( to tease us)

next morning at breakfast, he says we are through. Then ...

THE END

Does this sound like the likely ending to the triangle? Even if the VP, SJ and YR are sentenced to 10 years hard labour, I would rate the ending 1/10.

Truthfully, I don't think I will be satisfied with the ending, especially after all the angst while watching this drama. There is no way for someone such as JS (open & honest, trustworthy as well as trusting) to reconcile with SJ (secretive & dishonest, untrustworthy as well as distrustful).  I believe SJ has always been such (i.e., envious, dangerously ambitious, insecure...the like). JS with her love threw him a rope, a rope that could have saved him, but he chose to let go, all due to his insecurities & ambition to finally "be somebody."  He wanted to be respected, to leave his what he called "shameful & weak" past behind him. For a change he would be looked up to rather than looked down on. To accomplish that he followed the path of the VP. He fought those twinges of conscience - in those rare moments he was once again weak & shamed.

I sound like I'm on a high horse here, I know (sorry). I've enjoyed this drama, if only because it has kept my thoughts on a debatable level. One minute I argue for a reconciliation; the next I argue (with myself) against one. Thank goodness there is this thread where I can release "some" of my pent-up frustrations.  Anyone here remember Imitation of Life with Lana Turner? I wasn't born yet when he was filmed but it's one of those movies that really get you to thinking.

NOTE: Just because I watch old films doesn't mean I'm old. I will forever be young at heart.
