This thread is moving so fast, I can hardly keep up with all posts. Love reading them, though. Thank you all for your interesting insights.

 

Anyway, after having watched ep 13 & 14, here are some thoughts:

• It is clear now that SJ got caught up in the VP's dirty games as the VP's wing man. Did he do this for his own gain or was it an accident - that's what I would like to find out during the last two episodes.
• SJ is pushing JS deliberately away in order to protect her from the huge mess he has created, so that she won't drown with him. He states it clearly when JS says she won't divorce him: "That will ruin the both of us"....
  Also: "it is better to be really bad than to be somewhat bad. It's better for JS if I make things clear"
  SJ might also know that he is too far down the rabbit hole, he has no chance of getting JS back. So he continues to destroy what's left of their relationship.
• SJ still loves his wife - YR not so much. Even though he is next to YR in front of JS, he keeps following JS with his gaze. Body language doesn't lie...
• I am still wondering if the "affair" with YR was just a mistake or if it was a deliberate act to protect his wife from his risky business. It's so obvious to me that SJ's and YR's relationship is based on pity, not on love. That will not last in the long run, and soon doubts and perhaps jealousy will slip into the relationship (as we will see in ep 15).
• As I've stated before, there's a reason why we've seen 0% "adult" physical affection between SJ and YR. We saw kisses, steamy scenes and affection between SJ and JS, but nothing between YR and SJ. I am starting to believe there was never anything more than an emotional "affair" (if even that), there was never a "physical affair". Thus easier for SJ and JS to get back together, should the writer wish so.

Some future predictions:

• I still think it's possible JS is pregnant. Even if she isn't pregnant, almost losing JS from the fall will be too much and we will hopefully see SJ finally being honest to JS about the double-life he's been leading.
• Mi Na's husband will become a stay at home dad. Go Mi Na!   
• YR will probably repent as she will have realized that she doesn't fit into the world she's been thrown into, and that SJ still loves his wife.
• Not sure if JS and SJ will reconcile. If they are to reconcile, I hope the writer gives us a proper reason (e.g. SJ was blackmailed into doing all of those dirty things - not just for his gain, etc.). Also, a time jump might be in the works in the last episode.

Oh, and on a side note. If there's an amnesia scene after the fall, I swear I will not be a happy camper!!!

Hi...

I have been thinking a lot of stuff around our drama. 

1. I feel SJ is really doble face, had dady issues, has a big problem with his ambitious. I read at some site before the drama started a caracter descrption and I remember see in: he used to be good but know hi is drawn by his ambitions.

So yes we have a man who seem impecable but in true he has been doing all kind of dirty stuff for his boss by his own will. Why...does he want to bad been name ceo...money, power, recognition....all this together. Was he scare or did not new how to handle the situation..??

 

2. He is not in love with Yuri. I think he sees her as an oportunity, he though she was easy to handle, that some how he can control her, but he just found out its not like this. He has been miss reading her, she has lie to him. And now he just does not know how to handle this, but just follow the situation. Because he is ussing her. 

 

3. Unfortunatelly I think our queen would have to either finish him and the VP, with all the pain in her heart she needs to be mooore bad and plann really good how to finish this 2 man. Because if not the consecuences would be so big for her and the VIP team. I do not believe SJ words yesterday when he told her he would always look out for the team, that she needs to stop and don't mess with the executives. Well to bad this war has started, and she may be afraid of the true she just found out bu I believe she can make a wisser strong decision that could benefit and protect the team. 

 

4. Yuri is bad, crazy, lazy and believes she owns the world, or at least in her head. But oh boy..she is having it coming. There is a price that it comes with money, a sacrfice you must do, and hers is coming, she thinks she won the men, but just because its here next to you it does not garanty would stay for ever, why...because she does not get that once you are put as the VP daughter and probably the next generation of the companie, your personal feelings does not exist, this parent just wants her because it helps him with his idea on conquer the president of the group spot, he does not care about feelings, she is a tool and would be used as one, if tomorrow a new oportunity comes to use her like marrying her with another conglomerate son he would make it happen, now he is trying to cover her lack of education and prestige by making everyone around her to work to make her look good so he can used her infront of the familly and executives. Nothing else

This is her price to pay for wanting to have it all free..easy..money..etc...

I do not feel sorry for her because she could have say no, but opted to say yes and accept the money...this is payment time. 

5. At first I also fantasise with the idea of JS to be pregnant. But after yesterday episode it would be better if not because she has to walk free from this painfull situation, she said it when she was with her friend mentor; there are not longer feelings there just the final resolution. And with a pregnancy in the way she would always bee linked to him, and at this point I do not think this is good.

She needs to move on, walk free from this mess, star fresh, bee happy because she deserves it. Deserves so much better. 

6. I want the VIP team to win, because they are strong, honest, inteligent, great people whp care about work and ethics...something that the VP and SJ are lacking. They use people into their benefit, so far everything has been great for them. But there must bee a stop for them. Shoe them how things are donne. No cheating, not lies. 

7. Probably the best would be for SJ and VP to end outside of the companie and in jail. 

8. Time jump...???. Probably but who knows so far the writter has surprise us with everything.

9. Could they be back togethet: mmm....SJ would neet to come clean and face all he has donne and change. At this point don't think he is capable of. He know he did bad but can he change..and correct this...???

His mom told him..he just let go and lost his world and can not see what he lost just time would show him that. 

10. The VP wife and sister really want him to lost. Probably have been planing amd trying before for it. 

11. Yuri cam bee the one to make bought VP and SJ lost everuthing. Hope its like this. Would be perfect punishment for the 3. 

 

Well so far this is what I have been thinking aftet yesterday episode. It's christmas time so lets hope writter give us an amazing 2 last episodes.

I didn't think about that! But you may have a point. You're right her vision about SW changed. Maybe she won't make a move on him but is jealous thata minister's son is caring with JS..

I don't think so. Unless the studio has suicidal tendencies, Korean fans are real fan(atic)s.  Our postings are really tame compared with some others.

I would love to read the English translation of the Korean Fan posts. My SIL is Korean and some of my friends and some of her friends got together. We went out to eat and then back to the house to drink and do Karaoke...it was hilarious. A group of happy, drunk singing women.

I am rewatching the matchmaker scene,  because I love seeing  someone being attentive towards JS and it's just icing on the cake that her not so attentive husband is there to witness it. Ha! Lo l

 

One thing that I noticed and not sure the significance or meaning yet but when the matchmaker asked YR what she wanted in a husband and she  replied with, someone warm and kind. The matchmaker says, that is something Oh Yoo  Ri would want.  But what would Ha Yoo Ri want and wouldn't she want something different?  She is emphasizing that change in YRs last/ family name.

 

I'm not sure if matchmaker is calling YR out that she's still thinking like her old self and not the VPs daughter, someone wealthy because she's hinting that she knows that she's not really the VPs daughter.  Or is the matchmaker telling her to have a different frame of mind for considering her future spouse because she is the VPs daughter and should be thinking of alliances instead.

Jang Nara MUST be nominated.  She has absolutely blown me and everybody away in this drama.  

 

I would also be so happy to see the very underrated Lee Chung Ha receive a nomination as Hyun Ah.

 

She might be overlooked as she isn't as famous but I would love to see Kwak Sun Young who plays Song Mi Na be nominated. I am very curious about this actress as apart from a small role in a movie in 2014 there are no acting credits listed for her before 2018.  I think she is so believable in VIP.  Does anyone know anything about her and why she started acting so late?

So true! Wheeling out the same old tears and sob story every episode as if she is the only person who has had a hard life doesn't make her at all sympathetic when she has consistently been shown to be cheating, greedy, covetous, jealous, a liar, manipulative, selfish, stupid, lazy and cowardly throughout the drama. All whilst she embraces playing the victim.  She is a vile character with no redeemable characteristics. Her and Sung Jun are utterly repulsive.

 

Now, she is even getting arrogant in her undeserved job because of her position as the VP's daughter. The stupid fool doesn't even realise that she is just a tool. She might get to wear expensive clothes now but the VP doesn't care about her at all and she will never fit into that world or that family.

As others have said I do think the matchmaker might have made her consider her options a bit. Before the VP publicly recognised her, taking Sung Jun from Jung Sun whom she clearly envied must have seemed like a great victory to her.  But now in her new role as VP Ha's daughter it's obvious that being in a illicit relationship with an older, married illegitimate man from a poor background who is basically her father's dog will only continue to make her an outcast in the circles she wants to fit into. Nobody will respect him or her. Especially as JS is refusing to make things easy and divorce so they still have to sneak around like the dirty cheaters that they are.

 

It probably won't happen but I would LMAO if she starts desperately trying to hook some handsome young chaebol's son with Sung Jun's dumb richard simmons looking on  (aka confused and sad face) as usual. Idiot SJ was obviously unhappy with her doing the matchmaking interview  His mistress fishing around for someone younger and better than him would be some hilarious karma for that adulterer.

From this drama storyline, it has strengthen my belief that those who truly love you will make you like a child instead of making yourself a strong and mature woman. Because the man who truly love you wants you to be a happy person under his care. May be SJ did not love deep enough, he chose career over his wife, sad to say that and he had no courage to mend the broken marriage...

 

What I see now is woman's revenge. The more we get angry, the more we are penalising ourselves, because anger is our biggest enemy.  I had a real case of my gf, after she had done a revenge to her man, she turn into depression. The best for women is to stay away with the one who hurt us deeply, start a new life. Sometime, we never know the other side is greener once we try to look up for it. Anger and hatred is an acid that can do more harm to us.

 

Set ourselves free by creating a life worth living and treasure it, it will be a remarkable reward to ourselves...my belief 

 

I hope the writer making the ending a meaningful one.

SJ is really too much. His heart clearly has changed to Yuri. I only accept what he did with Yuri up until her mother's funeral.

All after that, driving her to work, celebrate her birthday, the umbrella scene is really too much. He's like willing to go against the world, even his mom for Yuri .

 

And Cha Jin Ho is right, SJ is blinded by Yuri, he cannot see anything else at this moment.

 

So nope, he wont go back to JS, nor JS will take him back.

 

I stopped watching this drama in full since it is confirmed SJ and Yuri has a real affair (episode 8 I think). But I started to watch again since the last 2 episodes, because I see how JS has started to move on. Before that, it broke my heart  to see JS trying really hard to hold on to SJ, while SJ is being so giddy and happy with Yuri.

 

I really hope JS will remain this sweet and kind woman as this is what she is. She can end up with SW I'm fine with that. SW is actually a very sincere man with so much dignity. He can actually use his parents' connection to have it all, but nope, he didn't.

 

And it's so satisfying to see Yuri started to crack. She is like feeling insecure all over despite having it all LOLOL .
