I think I get it......VIP is not about revenge but about letting go....Wifey letting go the cheating hubs who she barely knew, Mistress letting go what is not hers, Hubs letting go his past that has been plaguing his whole life.....

Because of the nature of this drama I would say we won’t get a dramatic ending where Wifey is holding a blazing bazooka and all of her enemies are bleeding on the ground while walking away leaving a destroyed building with explosions and smokes serenaded by dramatic BGM....

As far as I'm aware there is no evidence the writer changed anything due to audience response. The drama wrap party was on October 29th and the drama started airing on October 28th so I very much doubt anything was changed due to public opinion.

VIP is actually a pre-produced drama, they wrap everything before the first episode.

If they are still filming, and they got such strong negative reaction to Yuri, they probably wont keep trying to portray how pitiful Yuri is lol.

BTS from yesterday's eps... I guess it's the staircase scene & the way Lee Chung Ah is holding Jang Nara's hand is so lovely! :wub: No matter what the series is about, but I think they all have made a strong bond of friendship between them!!! :) So refreshing!

And I've been not watching eng sub eps of VIP for some time now! But since today's the finale, I am planning to watch eng sub final eps! And I hope that this won't be another disappointment of the year & of Jang Nara! :mellow: She deserves beautiful dramas more!

 

And not sure about the live stream tonight as I was so irritated yesterday for more than 30 mins to catch up with it! :sweatingbullets: So i will also depend on eng sub eps this time!

Even if they had decided before hand what the show should be, making the adulterers just two people in love was in bad taste. They could just read about the cheating shows and see the reaction. Cheating on Jang Nara is rather risky. 
 

From the preview, we are probably going to get more of YR than others :angry:. You'd think she was the leading actress if you watched ep 15.

You did a great job last night. We got to find out who pushed or did not push JS and got us out of the state of suspense.

Because that would be a mental punishment, she would nevet bee seen as a valuable person there, yes she can have money and stuff...but that would not make her happy to the contrary she would have to live always by this familly  standar and power,  she can never have love, happiness, peace etc...she would have to be strong to even survive a familly diner, study etc...pay her own way on that familly...wich for me is the best pay for her...suffer, misery, lonleyness, etc  . .

I agree. Staying in that family will be Yu Ri's biggest punishment. She might finally have money and pretty clothes but she will always be an outsider, always inferior, always the subject of gossip, always looked down upon, always mocked, always restricted and have to follow commands, always at the mercy of the real legitimate members of the family, always the odd one out. She has no allies in the family. Her father doesn't care about her at all and merely views her as a useful object and her new mother loathes her very existence. It will be a cold, miserable and lonely life.

:wub: So sweet. I really appreciated the female friendships in the drama and aside from Jang Nara's phenomenal performance I loved loved loved Lee Chung Ha as Hyun Ah so it's nice to see their friendship offscreen.

I woke up in the middle of the night and remembered the roll of film that he found in the box. How long ago did we use cameras with rolls of film? I also remembered, that in his college days he liked to take pictures. I wonder what is on the film. Whatever it is , it has made him sad! It made him realize how much he had changed. From a guy who liked to watch a beautiful sunrise; to a guy who betrayed his wife....and for what?

Since my relatives haven't arrived yet at my house, I still have time for one more (minor?) ranting on Ep. 15 and the overall drama progression.

 

If the screenwriter really wanted a "different", "fresh" affair drama, then she/he should have gotten some inspiration from @Ameera Ali's gem post right here (sorry for not quoting your post @Ameera Ali...I believe the Soompi forum policy does not allow direct quoting of posts containing any pics, Instagram posts, etc.). Now that's one hilarious take on SJ's ineptitude in getting a handle on his two leading ladies in his life. Oh, how the tables have turned; all this time, YR was looking for the better "half of the whole"...JS (or is the other way around? Oh well...:P) !

Highly agree. And btw, I saw some posts about how this screenwriter is NOT trying to make us the audience sympathize with YR or SJ. If that's the case, then why is YR getting more (unnecessary) screentime with her "woe is me", passive-aggressive crying scenes in recent episodes, while the realistically flawed AND more compelling characters HA and MN are getting LESS screentime despite them representing- but still fighting back against- the common work and social discrimination in a patriarchal society like South Korea that women face even in 2019?

 

Oh well, better wait for the reactions, recaps, and subs of the finale before venting on the overall drama progression...

Hello friends... Just watching the not-so-good live stream & can't believe that today is the last day...

 

Spoiler

 

I've missed out so many parts but saw a scene where Jung Sun met her mom! Mom said that she feels fine as she got to see her daughter & then offered her with money or something! Jung Sun accepted it & walked away calmly! I feel that something has changed in her life for a good way..

 

Then Yu Ri & Sung Jun having having dinner & she said she feels good to be with him & whatnot... Then asked about him! He said he also feels fine & then Yu Ri said that he is lying.. :o Then I missed out a few minutes &  then Sung Jun said Soorry & YU Ri began crying, crying & crying!! Did he say to break up??! :o

 

First half is over!

 

In second half, there is a scene of Sung Jun & VP! Sung Jun thanked him & a lot more..

 

Then the happy family of Song Mi Na, her hubby & two kids! They are really lovely! Her husband is a real gentleman! :wub:

 

Then there are Jung Sun & Sung Jun at the dinning table! She looks calm yet stiff & independent! They had a long talk & lastly he said that he wants her to have a nice life, honestly! And then his goods are all packed & in the next morning he finds the photo reel! 

 

And wow, then he gets the photos & reminds of the beautiful days with Jung Sun! Walking under the snow streets, holding her hand, she feeding him while driving & a lot.. Then he burst in to crying!! :tears: Then a train just passing by.. I think it indicated that the time has passed!

 

Yes, Hyun Ah & her boyfriend have moved in to another place... Song Mi Na's baby has born! :wub:

 

Then a happy gathering of VIP ladies! And we see On Yu Ri comes back to Korea & she looks alone... 

 

A scene where Sang Woo cheers up Jung Sun at office!

 

Then Jung Sun visited a funeral & happened to see Sung Jun there.. Then they walk along under the snow & talking... Jung Sun said that it's a relief for her to see him again! He said Thank you! Really, Thank you! And they both said to each other that please, live well! And Jung Sun walks away.. Then the scene changes to a bird eye view.. :( Jung Sun & Sung Jun walk in opposite directions..! :neutral: She goes away from him & he goes away from her... 

 

The end!

Thank you for your replay. No Spoiler for me. It helped me to prepare my heart for what I will see when I watch the finale.

 

At the end, I am glad that I can see that they are both able to move on with their lives while wishing each other well.

 

Really, there was no other reasonable ending to this drama.

 

Right now, I have mixed emotions about VIP. I am going to take sometime to digest what happened before making a final judgement.
