@sin hoonsim dont worry LSY got the most difficult character to act in VIP, as JNR said in allure interview. and i agree with her...since the beginning he just show 1 expression that i think it is worried expression...with all the background as mistress son that always feel unsecure (his other bro from other mom look like always threatened him and always asking money, his worried if people knew his family background so he said his dad already passed away), what he doing for VP he worried NJS knew it (and it looks he also affraid VP will attack his wife, i still dont know how VP had a thought NJS will be his obstacle if they did all bad thing in secret), and i think because still dont reveal yet he also worried yuri will harm NJS. talking about yuri, she has obsession abt SJ, the more closer they are the more her obsession growth, like in the preview SJ actually didnt say no to her when asking for dinner together, but she already feel jealous and affraid SJ will choose JS not her...my conclusion yuri is psychopath, if she feel unsecure she can harm others and SJ knew it

I was yelling.. tell him momma.. tell him! If her words didn't have any impact on him he's dead inside.  Shoot I even felt sorry for him too, after what she said sunk in.  I was like you poor fellow,  you royally $%^! yourself. After confronting him about seeing someone else and getting the same answer as JS, head bowed and looking guilty she has a little emotional breakdown,  in disbelief that he would do such a thing. Then she calms down and in a resigned tone, lays down some Yoda wisdom and fortelling of what's to come! She tells him, "you don't know what you've done,  otherwise you wouldn't have done it.  You think this moment of passion is love right now.  That even though you know it's fire you jump in anyways. But in that moment,  you lost a whole world, because of what you felt at that moment.  Right now,  you don't know what you've lost. "

 

When she says you lost your world,  she's talking about SJ. She said that when he first brought her home,  she was relieved.  Not only because she was kind and gentle,  but she looked like she meant the world to him! 

 

I whole heartedly agree with his mama's words.  He got caught up in the moment,  in the heat of passion, regardless of what he was doing for VP, this was outside of that. He stumbled and wavered from his wife on his own.   Their troubles and hardships were too much to bear and YR redirected his thoughts, and also gave him the attention and affection he was not currently getting from his wife. What a cop out and worst mistake he will ever make!!!  But whatever he and YR had was just that.. a moment.  He will realize this soon enough, and just what he's lost because when it hits him, we will know because, it will bring him to his knees!!!

What a great summary of that scene!!   It was a moment of truth for him and i do believe he already knew this but his actions, both with business and personally, overwhelmed him.  Was he trying to protect JS from scrutiny? No, Idt so...remember that scene with Mi na and JS, they are outside talking and MiNa says to JS "do we really know what anybody is truly like?" paraphrasing here...he has hidden himself very well from JS and now JS would understand that statement.

What an eye opening episode!  I do believe we now know the true SJ.  Besides being the reserved, polite quiet guy he is not only a liar and a cheat but a player!!  Both in business and personally. He isn't trying to save JS from scrutiny or he wouldn't treat her so badly and openly display his affair.  He is doing all of this for his own selfish means.  And as i said above,   that scene with Mi Na and JS talking outside the restaurant work dinner comes to my mind where Mi Na says, "do we truly know who a person is?" and JS is realizing now that she never really knew her husband at all.  I think this will all end with the downfall of the 3 villains. It has to. There won't be a reconciliation as its done, that ship has sailed. I could be wrong, i have been wrong many times before. But there is no other logical ending. IS THERE??? Am i missing something.  I would like to say this writer has done something that doesn't happen often and that is provoke the viewer.  He or she has made us watch, think, take something for the old stomach, go back and watch and think again.  The writer has played with our emotions and thoughts.  This forum has been great and a type of therapy to let all that bad anxiety out.  Heck, my stomach is still in knots from having to watch another episode with SJ and YR in it, but i do so gladly. Although, tonight i had to fast forward through their scenes.  Enough is enough, they make me sick.  Till next week VIP friends!!

The only redemption SJ can hope to attain will be in prison. Over the years he has paved his shiny brick road with his own hands. Unfortunately, there is only one destination at the end of that paved road. I feel no empathy for him or for Yuri - they get what they get & it won't be pretty. If he was attempting to protect JS, he did a mighty poor job of it. One thing I've learned over the years is before you go messing with someone else's covers, you need to make up your own bed. New sheets don't necessarily feel more comfortable than the old ones.

How many watched "go back couple"? The ML was doing exactly what SJ is doing, managing the mistress(es) for his boss. Same despicable act but for some reason, it feels more despicable and dirty with SJ.  Things that make you go hmmm. Lol

 

I hate the character but can't help to root for the man behind him,  LSY, so I go back and forth between wishing for a reconciliation and burning him on a stake! This drama's giving me multiple personality syndrome! Rotfl

 

One day I'm a woman craving vengeance, then another day I'm a hopeless romantic wishing for a happily ever after,  and other days I'm both!!  My damn personalities are "like a box of chocolate. You never know what you're going to get!" Lmao

I think people are complaining about LSY's monotonous acting because we haven't really seen SJ's real face yet. With most other dramas, there are scenes where there is no one to witness the character breaking down. That scenes where he broke down were too short to reveal any anguish, regret or whatever else he is feeling. And even when he is carrying on with that boring controlled mask, there should be some micro expressions (suddenly reminded me of Liar Game...), but here there is pretty much none. He doesn't even appear like a confident and competent executive (the way JS and HA carry themselves). He is so stoic that I would've thought his character is a small uncredited character playing assistant to the VP.

 

I don't know how to clearly express this... I don't mean LSY is bad. But I expect SJ to at least appear like a competent boss. If only he could pull a So Jisub. SJS is great playing these stoic characters if you know what I mean.

I think SJ involvement with VP was going to be exposed and SJ  decided to use YR to cruelly force JS away from him with divorce as the objective. He had to be this cruel to make her despise him and sign divorce papers; wanted her safely out of the way especially given her fragility after the miscarriage/stillborn.  Something happened and his dealings with mistresses and dark money was revealed to be close to being exposed. He has to have game plan of some sort but regardless the "plan" would not save his professional reputation. Maybe the climax will be the hidden shares and SJ manipulated so can't be used by VP?  maybe for him an affair is better then being "dirty".

I only see what looks like brother-like affection from SJ to VR. absolutely no passion in their interactions...and should be lots at this stage of their relationship.Wonder if when reviewing the CCTV SJ saw something we don't know. Did he decide to play the situation when he found out YR texted his wife? Are the clenched hands anger? ok, maybe doesn't make sense with timelines etc..but will help me get to next week and the final two episodes.

 

Question: Did the matchmaker tape the conversation with YR? Looked like she had a small tape recorder...

 

I think JS is pregnant. He will go to the hospital with her and find out then...

But the clear difference of the ML in Go Back Couple he never cheats. He just ask for divorce because he is so tired being a husband and cannot have fun like his colleagues. In this case, our ML is clearly a cheater and even has the guts to go back to the mistress and left his wife.

No but I knew someone who went on to have many kids even though she was taking pain killers for the first pregnancy. Same thing, thought it was gastric problems.

 

Btw in the Dramamilk comments, many assumed that they would get back together if JS was pregnant.

 

No no no, the kick in the teeth for him would be to see his child being brought up happily by JS with another man, or even alone.

I think they will use the baby to stop JS from making the fund and the adultery pub lic but too late Ex employee Bae has leaked the photos to the press. Maybe, the creep will turn state's evidence for a shorter prison sentence. Just so his baby won't be ashamed of him. Really like how, but I think it is quite likely.

 

I don't remember the unforgiving, kick in the rear type of ending in a while.

Was it confirmed that Jung Sun is pregnant? About the hospital scene yesterday, it's only a scene where she got IV drops to have energy out of a busy schedule... I didn't see any sign of pregnancy! Or did I miss something?!  Haven't watched eng sub eps yet...

Just guesses dear, similar to SJ does not really like YR, Mistress not daughter, YR pushed JS.. all guesses, some are crazier than others.

Anywayssss I'm glad I made it to this point of the drama. After all the headaches, the daydreams of slapping these characters, we're finally coming to an end.

Final Conclusion: This drama could've been so much better.

At the end of the day this couple just needs to end this relationship and go their separate ways. I can't imagine being in a marriage for 10 years and not knowing central things about your husband, the surprised look on her face when she realized her husband was going around covering for the boss was the biggest ..... ever.....SIS you didn't know this man. I wished this drama was more enjoyable, but I'm hopeful that the last episodes will close things out fairly.

I hope JS is not pregnant. I hate it when pregnancy is made as the resolution of a cracked relationship. Mend that marriage first and get pregnant afterwards.

 

But if by the power of drama miracle JS DOES conceive, I hope JS is strong and resolute enough to raise the baby alone or with her future partners.

 

VIP has done wonders to portray career woman in a positive light (except YR of course), so I hope they stick with this until the end.
