okay so it's MinA now but JungSun still isn't sure its her yet but went about picking on her the first chance she gets. HyunA was plainly cool about it, yeah! why doesn't JungSun just pull her hair or something.  Anyway i don't think MinA fully made up her mind to abort the baby. She avoided drinking wine and didn't take the antiemetic even when she was feeling nauseous. Funny thing the baby starts reacting at her bad intentions. She was seen taking some sort of recording from the rostrum. 

 

Why do i feel like some of the men in this episode are acting like jerks. First of all from ep7, the VP has SungJun cleaned up his mess with a previous mistress. She was tossed aside with a 100k cheque and a confidentiality agreement. Its no guess why the VP is determined to promote SungJun to the executive position because aside from his job a director of the VIP team he is also acting as the VP's personal aide. 

 

Then we have HyunA ex or he claims to be. He started bragging and humiliating her as soon as he arrives. I have a feeling he was there to show off his new bride and all.  Much later we found out that HyunA had put a restraining order on him for stalking her. 

 

I think SungJun loves his job more then JungSun. He could have texted his wife telling her he will be late but noooo he was off comforting YuRi. His talk about not wanting to hurt JungSun anymore is just talk.

I am quite ok if SJ gets whichever female he wants and let go of JS. She can get the CEO of Tifone, after he gets rid of his phobia. The VP's lackey SJ shi can continue doing his dirty job.

This drama is sooo..slooOoOoowWw~ it bores the heck out of me & yet I can't stop watchin' WTF

 

What I cannot stand is how entitled & a bunch of unruly God awful people are the so-called V.I.P.s They act as if they're above other peasants when they're worse than scum basically! Just why did the youngest in the team stand there like a statue while that Ahjumma empties an entire bottle of wine over her?! Did she think she was havin' a shower?! 

 

I knew that 1 married lady with 2 sons was shady Ugh Sang Yoon's character frustrates me to no end I wonder what did the guy see on the laptop LoL?!  Dear Lord give me patience as this drama is makin' me lose my last nerve. Seriously the suspense is killin' me

Hate it when SJ choose to go to comfort YR instead of his wife.. Thats totally worse decision ever..

 

JS still trying to protect the marriage.. She actually contemplating if she want to let go SJ or not.. But she want to know the truth from SJ side first, then she will consider.. Since every one talking about JS history of miscarriage, it let me assume, she is the cause of the miscarriage. She may overwork herself and not taking good care of her pregnancy (delay any checkup/treatment) that causing her to had miscarriage. She also said she will felt better if SJ blame her at that time.. It shows also when SJ leave the house, JS throw away medicine her MIL gave.

 

It frustrating me so much until I want a second male lead to confort JS.. Please, give me at least a few episodes where SJ will fell jealous when see JS with other man.. Please.. Please..

I can understand why you would see it that way. Is it possible though, that SJ went to YR because YR has no one around to comfort her? She was utterly humiliated in front of everyone at her workplace, and she has no friends or family to talk to about this. SJ is her manager and the whole scene happened at work. SJ was unable to protect her because the VP stopped him. Maybe he felt compassion for YR as a manager? Maybe he assessed that JS would be able to handle being stood up ?

Also, as it seems SJ is the wing man for the VP, he must know YR's background and might have helped her along the way before she joined his team.

I still don't think SJ is having an affair with anyone.

I guess this is related to the past incident in SJ & JS's life : the one where JS asked SJ to hang on to her. And probably a clue in that locked room in their house. Could it be a miscarriage or their child who died ?

Good theory @pixiebelle I also have a feeling the secret between our main lead couple could have something to do with why they are now struggling to conceive a child....

 

So, Mi-na was recording something during the auction... Maybe the file that our young chaebol Sang-woo found on SJ's computer was that recording....? I just had a thought that maybe Mi-na is actually working with SJ. She's not having an affair with him, but she is helping him out with whatever he is involved in? Maybe that's why Mi-na turned up when JS sent that text to her...

The thick plottens....

Edit: On a side note, who leaves their computer unlocked?!!? And doesn't SW know it's a crime to open another person's computer and read the stuff in there....? Compter security 101 <sigh>

It is hard to believe he would cheat on JS who is smart and beautiful but maybe he did feel pity for Yuri and that is how they began their affair.  I don't think it is Mina and I'm sure it isn't Hun A.  I really hope I am wrong.  I think SJ is the one who is stiff and has no communication skills.  It was JS who did most of the talking etc. when they were dating and he would just smile during the flashbacks.  He seems very shy and not outgoing at all.  He shows no emotions what so ever even when he knows he is hurting the person he is supposed to love and protect.  If it is not an affair, then something really strange is going on that he just cannot talk about.  I did think he may be trying to keep JS from finding out who it is because they could lose their jobs for having an affair if it becomes known.  They do keep mentioning the issue with Mr. Jung who had an affair and was fired.  I am really going crazy here trying to figure it all out.  LOL.

I watched the 8th episode last night and even if I want to believe that he didn't cheat, it still made me feel icky seeing the ending because no matter what he went to her instead of to his wife when their marriage is already on the rocks. 

 

The conversation in the car has me confused as well as the person who text him saying they miss him. Could he really be having an affair with YR? I do think she's related to the VP because the money to move, pay the hospital bills, and wear nice clothes is not coming from SJ. Most likely we were right and that she's blood related to him and while SJ was helping the VP he got closer to YR. In the preview, it showed reporters hounding her with questions. 

 

I also told myself that he is not having an affair with YR because Jang NaRa said in interviews that YR is a pitiful character and you can't help feeling sorry for her. This isn't a feeling you express towards someone who is having an affair with a married man. 

 

I'm just waiting to see what happens. The point of the drama is to have us question everything so I'm going to enjoy that.

@avaya the most unlikely people have cheated on the friends, wives, neighbours .  
Many here think SJ did not have an affair, but he did admit it. Why would he admit to a non existent affair? His marriage is on the rocks and he is 'comforting' his subordinate? I admit many Asians are westernised but really the huggy thing with a staff is not an Asian trait. It's got to be YR.  I am sure he cheated on JS, not a one night stand but a long running one. He has hurt his wife and is continuing to do so. He did say 'let's end it' in the preview. But we still have 8 episodes, if they divorced now, the show is over because JS will not want to know  who she was. No, there won't be a divorce till the 13th or 14th, if they are going to split. I think they will split after the revelation. JS goes to the US and works for Tifone.

Then they will bring in the loser mother who would be saved by the lying cheating jerk. There has to be a reason for having her character. Then the obligatory time leap when JS returns from overseas, all are forgiven .

Meanwhile, the writer will continue sending him on errands that will further hurt his marriage and JS.

There is no way to excuse SJ going to Yuri rather than his wife.  Even if he is working for VP, his wife should come first.  From what we know, his character is unredeemable.  He deserves a divorce and she deserves someone who puts her first.

For those who call this drama boring.

 

Maybe it is but actually it is not.

 

They are smart to make people curious with all the hint drop one by one.

 

There are just so many wild theories because of how the problem unfold. 

 

If we straight up knew who he had an affair with it wont be a fun drama or just straight up classic drama.

 

With this we got so many possibilities and viewers imagination can go very wild with the guessing game.

 

For me this drama is best to watch on air if u binged it, it wont be fun at all. 

 

My own theories is that Song Mi Na is the Mistress of Sung jun and they got a secret affair behind the scene. The reason why Sung Jun want to end it is because he dont want to hurt Jung sun anymore but plot twist she got pregnant and it would be a big blow for jungsun both for the affair and mina actually got pregant while she havent again/yet. 

 

For yuri itself, she was either the vp secret kids/mistress but i believe in secret kids thats why the madam is so mad at her. Thats why she said that her mother was punished maybe because she was having a kids not from marriage. Why Sung Jun goes to yuri is because partialy it was his fault not to watch yuri away from the madam. And the vp itself warn him that was the last one. So ofcourse he to got the promotion he wanted, he must do what the vp said and thats why he must comfort the vp daughter so he got another chance for promotion.

 

For jung sun itself the reason she didnt divorce sung jun immediatly is because she didnt have the real reason yet and it will hurt her pride for sure if she straight away surrendered her husband. She was fierce and would want to fight for her husband thats why she dig into the affair itself.

 

About hyunah she was pretty... sad about the bad ex and the way she want to protect her pride or image but the reality hit her hard. But i believe her charather is still not over yet there will be a twist for her and will be important later on in the end of drama.

 

Jungwoo is a chaebol and sung jun know about him is also interesting and would be important later on.

 

For those who asking jungsun with the ceo of tifone.. it wont happen he was just a cameo..

 

It is a mystery after all so it would be fun with all the theories.

NOPE NOPE NOPE, there's a limit to making the watchers guess what the mystery is in a drama. The writer/s have spent over 8 hours retelling the same D*** story "is he cheating or is he not cheating". At this point the story telling is just BAD....at least give more clues or make the characters more interesting to keep the story going....isn't this drama supposed to be 16 episodes? They've really spent 50% of the drama doing the same thing. Someone convince me why I should keep watching this drama or just come back to this and give me a summary of episodes.

I am quite sure SMN is not the mistress. I guess she is just a struggling working mom, wanting to get that promotion badly. I think she went to the office after receiving the text because of that conversation her husband had with her in the coffee shop earlier : that she's staying out because she is having an affair. She probably thought it was he or his colleague testing her so she went anyway to clarify on the matter ?

If SMN is really having an affair with SJ, would she be so silly as to go to the office meetup at 10pm  ? I think the real mistress would panicked and called SJ immediately.

This drama is a bit slow paced for me but the writing is at least more witty than the run-of-the-mill script. I just hope the writer can round off everything with reasonable explanation. Sometimes they spin a tale too big and do a really bad conclusion.

Yes it can. He is in the US. She is flying there to work for him and date him. Just a few airport scenes and JS on the phone, it's done.

@realistic2280a and @etelou1 I kind of agree with you... The plot has really not progressed much for 8 episodes, and I find myself bored from time to time. I feel like they aren't focusing enough on our main couple either. At the moment I feel like a consistent narrative thread is missing from the plot.

 

Also, like @pixiebelle said it's possible that the writer has too many intricate spin-offs from the original story, and we end up with a catastrophic ending (The Last Empress anyone ? )

 

In any case, I hope that we get to see more of SJ' and his story. Since he smiles so infrequently in this show, I wouldn't mind if we see him shirtless more often instead....

I'm waiting for what these references to some type of past incident in their life where 'he held onto her' is all about.

 

I guess 'waiting' is the key word here, in light of others comments on how slow it is.

 

However, I am really enjoying the series.  I think it has been well told, after all everyone making guesses to this and that is part of good story telling.

After seeing the preview, I am concerned as to whether SJ wants to reconcile with JS.  In the last episode he asked her to just hold on to him this time but she wanted answers before making that decision.  They were supposed to talk after work.  SJ ended up going to Yuri instead of JS after work.  Then in the preview, he says, "JS lets just end it".   After going to Yuri instead of JS does he now realize he loves her wants a divorce?  Is he tired of JS's questioning,  just what does he want to end?  SJ makes me furious.  He never says anything and when he does, it seems to be the wrong things.  He just keeps hurting JS.
