He plays the role Kang Ha Joon (강하준) who is the operation situation team leader in the head quarter of Incheon National Airport (인천국제공항). I know Go Soo Young unni is probably already out since she has her own new SBS drama coming up...

It was a great honored to welcome the President of Incheon Airport to announce the K-stars, Lee Jung Jae and Choi Ji Woo as Hallyu Ambassadors to promote the airport through drama, Air City. The ceremony was held on 5th February 2007 at Incheon Airport with the presence of representative(s) from Yedang.

Air City is scheduled to be broadcasted as a special project drama production by MBC which is scheduled to be aired during the weekend sometime in May. The story plot shall involve various events as would normally occur in the airport like drug smuggling and passport counterfeit etc.

Love Story in Airport?

that's what i imagined Air City to be like too

I wanted to mention LAX before as an alternative to a HK serial 'Triumph in the Skies' (which focuses more on pilots/air-stewardess/foreign stops) but not sure if anyone seen the former. Though it's rather cheesy (Hollywood bicker-love-hate-thing) I also liked the show because it's very-fast paced with lots of happenings at the airport. Heroin smuggling that burst in the tummy, SARS alert, pet running loose at the terminal, hostage situation, bird problem, bomb scare (it wouldn't be complete without a bomb, right), disgruntled clients' threat as well as human drama... a son leaving his elderly mother at the airport to let her fly alone, work strike... all in LAX. And the power-play and rivalry, too. I was wondering why we never got to see more... it was cancelled.

I was hoping Air City would resemble LAX somehow... it's never a dull moment but always full of bickering, on-going action and tension. But that's the Hollywood version, of course.

MBC 월화사극 ‘주몽’에서 대소(김승수 분)의 아내로 악역인 양설란으로 출연 중인 박탐희와 KBS 2TV 주말드라마 ‘행복한 여자’에서 가족들로부터 제발 시집 좀 가라며 구박받는 이지숙 역의 문정희가 ‘에어시티’에 캐스팅됐다.

문정희는 ‘에어시티’에서 이정재의 옛 연인 서명우 역을 맡았으며 박탐희는 공항 운영처 직원 장난영 역으로 출연한다.

문정희가 연기할 극중 서명우는 공항 병원의 의사로 국정원 공항 담당관 김지성(이정재 분)과는 대학시절 만나 불같은 연애 끝에 결혼했으나 외무공무원이 됐다던 김지성이 국정원 요원이라는 것을 알고 그가 중상을 입고 병원에 실려오는 악몽에 시달리다 이혼한 인물이다. 호적상으로는 미혼이다.

박탐희가 맡은 장난영은 공항 직원들에게 연애의 인포메이션으로 불릴 정도로 남녀 간의 일이라면 모르는 게 없는 캐릭터다. 남의 일에 사사건건 참견하는 것도 좋아한다. 그러나 정작 자신은 연애 한번 제대로 못해본 인물로 강하준(이진욱 분)을 짝사랑한다.

한편 ‘에어시티’는 9일 인천국제공항에서 포스터 촬영을 한 뒤 본격적인 촬영에 들어간다
