I think we all need a group hug and a group cry.  Of all the ways I thought this would end - this is the most shocking!

I don't understand how someone of JH's "idol" status, in spite of his tremendous talent and good looks and fame could stoop to this level of perversion and disrespect for women.  He could have had any good woman he wanted - why?

But let's not loose sight of the fact that WE, all the Brownies, WE created something lovely and endearing here in this Soompi forum.  WE fell in love with a couple of people who fell in love - and then created more love right here.  WE did this, no matter how old, what race WE came from, what religion WE believed in, boys and girls, men and women, all together WE created an international community with one purpose and goal.  That is something to be immensely proud of.  There is no shame on us - it all belongs on JH.

And even though it looks bad for him, let's not jump to conclusions and throw hate and anger his way too soon.  Let the facts roll out about his involvement - and then judge.  And then after you've judged - forgive.  And pray that he learns from this and becomes a better person.  Pray and wish well to his family and CNBlue members.  Pray for SY that she will not be dragged down with him.

And for all of US - I hope we get by this without too much damage to our hearts and psyches.  In this day and age it is hard to find solace and comfort in any news from around the world.  It is hard to find good leaders and good people to emulate and follow.  Keep your faith in God and faith in the good side of human nature - good will prevail and our hearts WILL heal.

I'm not going anywhere - I will still come hear and check for news and updates and if any of you want to talk offline my inbox is available if you want to commiserate or need a pep talk.

Keep your heads up, Brownies, and be proud of the thread WE created for love!

We can always blame one person but we need to also understand his surroundings, his life, his friends, the people he surround himself with. What I know and is a fact that he do have freewill and the right mind to choose right from wrong ( this time he choose the latter ). I will always say don’t put your trust in men ( human being ) always a 100% they will disappointment you because nobody’s perfect. Let’s open our hearts and our mind. I think he was in shook and he can’t believe what’s happening in the news/outside ( yea, it can be shocking ). That’s why he choose the action to just delete his Instagram ( a really not thorough and good action to do ) but okay let’s give him that. Let’s wait for his message. I’m looking forward for him to really face the crowd, the people, the victims and ask forgiveness wholeheartedly. Gave the women who he victimize their peace and all the women in the world their peace ( okay let’s hope for this everyone). AJA!!!

Just want to share for every one here .....I don't know exactly what happened about the past and what exactly or the truth of this scandal. Who are the girls that has been involve in this scandal and the biggest question is ....Who's behind this !?? I don't believe that only one reporter has the guts to show the evidence. Do you Fans out  there not  even think that there is someone more powerful man/woman that could pay any one just to destroy one's reputation. I know that even celebrities can do make mistakes just like any other people. We Fans/citizen all over the world are the one who gives strength to our idols.....but at the same time we are also the one who can destroy them by giving a monstrous/harsh  comments that can push a person to take their life{suicide}. If you really an avid fan....could you at least be quiet for a bit and just be there knowing there are still people who believes in them by not commenting. Please don't bash me if you think I don't feel sorry for the girls....I don't know about the girls for not feeling sorry for them..... I can't relate because I've worked for 15 years in showbiz and I know the Games/scandals and more.Showbiz is one of the dirtiest job for a rookie especially if your not talented enough to be an idol. If you want to be a star you have to used your body just to reached your dreams in stardom. I'm not SAYING ALL but most is....I feel sorry about the actor in 2 days and 1 night actor...he's been judge before and he was ruined and now they open it up again and being judge by the whole world again!!??? What do you expect to the guy huh!! He just surrendered and he's lost...his sanity is broken....saying word he regretted for being a celebrity how he wished he's just a simple citizen. Please ....Hope someone can read this...don't let go! Your idol needs you!! They worked so hard and trained so many years before they debut. Many of them are only teens when they started training and in Korea small news can be called scandal., meeting someone caught in camera it means scandal/dating.I'm an international fan, so I don't know the real score of what happen inside Korea, I'm just one of a few people who doesn't believe about this and will never be.....All I know is .....If you want it then do it ! If you don't then be quiet and stay away from trouble ! Be responsible for your actions....because everything that you do  is your own doing .....just yours alone.Thank you and hope that no ones mad at me .

I know what you meant. The dark side of show business. But also now the friends he has, his circle of friends already admitted their guilt. They said they’re guilty, they did it. I believe them, that they did this horrible thing. They even quit show business which means that they took it  seriously. Jonghyun, we don’t know what his next action would be, but lets all hope it’s a good one. He needs to get council to people who are wise or wiser. We know there are CEO and what not ( bigger people behind this ). But what were talking now is him and the victims.  I felt bad for the unsuspecting innocent girls. We can speak up without being nasty and hateful.  We need to speak up.  If not us...who?  If not now....when?  We/ I can no longer sit by idly and say/do nothing.   Lee Jonghyun needs to Humble himself, PRAY, seek God's face, and repent...THEN God will hear our prayers and heal our land.  Jonghyun and all of us had to Be a part of God's answer...not part of the problem.

The Bible says “No one is righteous, not even one!” If you are without sin, go on ahead and be the first one to condemn.” We are NOT to condone sin. We are commanded to love but we shall not compromise the Truth of God ! Isaiah 5:20 comes to mind. "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" Lee Jonghyun will only earned my respect back if he will stand up for the lives of innocent young women that has been toyed by him and by the other celebrities and his friends.  God said “I will bless those who bless and will curse those who curse!”  There’s a special place in hell for people who refuse to repent. Because God says He hates hands that shed innocent blood! But He extends forgiveness to those who truly repent. So, Live your life as an example to others. Love one another. And pray like Daniel. Humble reminder. Had Jesus not redeemed me with His blood, I would have been worthless than dirt. Dirt can at least grow flowers. Dust in itself is just a nuisance on my furniture. Thanks be to Jesus for breathing life into this dust!

in my opinion,

this is culture background + normal celebrity live. this is big just because they are celebrity. its something common in normal people as well.

1. korea is free sex, if two person agree ... that is ok (but not ok if hidden camera, like JJY first case, court say he is not guilty)

2. JH chat , i have seen alot another one, you can easily find in google about hidden video, i am not saying this is not wrong, but this is what a man usually do. and this is not something new, this is happen since long time ago in humanity. JH crazy of sex .? i dont think so, just imagine how many celebrity over 30 yold in korea is still single, how they are satisfied their urge ..? just watching porn ..? i dont think so

3. you cann't know what your friend do when you are not around, so i think we as sosial people must at least have one of friend that commit crime, but we are not doing anything (or let's say is not my business).

4. innocent girl ..? maybe no, maybe yes, i dont know about korea, but i read somewhere in japan if you still virgin in age 20, you r outsider.

5. sungry escort girl, is this normal..? i thing so, like japan with geisha and another country as well. did they give sex service ? its depend with the girl herself.

so, basically i think just because this is celebrity, this case became this big . this is like public secret, almost everyone know but do nothing.

fellow brownies, dont get down, this is just regular case that in this case just to be happen with JH.

crime must be punish, but dont hate the person ... hate the crime ... because people can change.

in this case until now, i think JH mistake is watching hidden camera that his friend sent it to him, thats all. if JH to be happen did hidden camera too, thats another story.

lets wait and see ...

Quoted on (Cindy Beale) book:    Galatians 5 tells us that we are to “let the Holy Spirit guide our lives and THEN we won’t be doing what our sinful nature craves.” This is so very simple to understand yet so very grueling to accomplish. Why?

Our flesh loves to be fed. So, let’s starve it by feeding our spirits.

You know it’s true. But everyday is a new day to begin again. We don’t have to live defeated anymore just because we give into what our flesh wants. And just in case you aren’t sure if your flesh is leading you to do things, ask yourself these questions: “Where am I out of control in my life? Where do I feel like I can never gain traction?” Then that’s your area. Now, you are self-aware that this is an issue that you must address. Now that you know, begin feeding your spirit so that your flesh will lose its grip and eventually starve. How do you feed your spirit? Do things that make you grow in your faith. Basically, do the things that bring you closer to God and do them throughout the day. Our flesh loves to be fed. So, let’s starve it by feeding our spirits.  Romans 8:13-17
Galatians 5:16
Ephesians 4:22-23

Quoted: ( Cindy Beale):                  Why? The first word of many questions that humans ask.

Why do my muscles ache after a workout? Why is there no grass in the desert? Why can’t I understand algebra? Those have easy answers.

Because you strained them and they are rebuilding.Because there is no rainfall and grass needs water.
Because it’s dumb. (Duh.)

But other questions don’t have such quick answers. The word why is at the forefront of our minds when things go awry. This word often doesn’t satiate or comfort us.

Why does God allow children to get cancer? Why won’t God heal me?
Why did God take my mom from me?

Why. If we ask God to help us see things through a different lens, we will begin asking how He can use this when our natural tendency is to ask why did this happen.

How are you going to use my pain to help someone else? How are you going to bring about good through my hardship? How are you going to bring others into the Kingdom through my painful experiences?

We must let go of our need to know “why” so that we can lean into the “how.”

In my opinion, this is the pathway to healing, wholeness and peace. Because some questions will never be answered. Even if they are, the answers aren’t good enough to quench that need inside of us that begs why. But if we could lean towards asking God how He will use a tragic and devastating situation in our life and in someone else’s, we will start to experience rapid healing accompanied by the peace of Jesus.

When we know the character of God, we will know that He is for us, that nothing can separate us from His love and that through Him, we are more than conquerors. When we know this, we can ask questions that are far more beneficial and kingdom-minded.

Quoted: ( Cindy Beale)                       As long as there is breath in your lungs, God still has you here for a purpose. The very thing that appears to be an obstacle on the path in front of you is likely the very thing that will catapult you into the next season of victory in your life.

God Uses the Unlikely – Would you ever have imagined that 300 men could defeat a sizable foe in a battle? Neither did Gideon. Maybe that’s where you live. You feel like the most unlikely or untalented person for God to use and even wonder how or why He would choose to use you to impact the world. God can do far more with an available individual who is willing than an able individual who is not.

Developing a Godly Culture in our Lives – Do you want to see your children live out the truth you say you believe? Developing a Godly culture in our homes begins with developing it inside ourselves first. If we would remember what God’s done in the past, we would not fret so easily over our future.

The Importance of God’s Word – Have you ever lost something and then found yourself scouring your entire home to find it? We search high and low for something that may matter in the moment but does not matter in a year. Do we seek God in this way? Do we pine over His Word so that we can learn from Him and follow Him wholeheartedly? We don’t always feel like reading God’s Word nor do we always understand it, do we?

Quoted: Cindy Beale:                       With God, life will get richer, more meaningful and more fulfilling as we follow Him. That’s just who our God is.

I have been in the pit, and I have been on the mountain.
I have been full of chaos, and I have been full of peace.
I have been in serious financial need, and I have been financially secure.
I have experienced the heights of joy, and I have lived in the throes of sorrow.

So today, I write to you as a fellow sojourner on a path with and towards Jesus. I am here to encourage you to keep fighting the good fight even if you don’t have any idea what the outcome will be. Sometimes we will get smacked with situations that send us into a tailspin. That’s life. We have to get back up.

I understand your point about the dark side of the entertainment industry and that people do things and regret them later on. I understand what I think is your point that we don't want the criticism to lead to suicide of the person who did wrong.  However, the person you're talking about is Jung Joon Young, who is not a part of this forum. This forum covers CNBLUE singer Lee Jong Hyun, who is a friend of Jung Joon Young.  You may feel sorry for Jung Joon Young but I most certainly do not. He has publicly admitted to the world and to the police that everything revealed about his behaviors is true, and that he will cooperate with police during their investigation. He handed over his cell phone to police, hence we now have the evidence of his many conversations, including those chats with Lee Jong Hyun.  Jung Joon Young has admitted and declared true that he drugged and then raped unsuspecting young women. That he filmed himself raping the women and shared these illegal sex videos with his "friends' in a special chatroom, where those chat group members watched and laughed about the videos and made other disgusting comments.  He hasn't shown remorse for his actions, he's sorry he got caught and is facing possible criminal charges. He deserves to be judged by the whole world. I hope that justice will be served for his victims and that he will get the punishment he richly deserves. I find it incredible that you can say you have no sympathy for the girls that were his victims. I will say this to you: I understand your feelings of not wanting to believe this is true because I had a similar experience. I'm truly sorry that a man you admired has turned out to be a terrible human being. I understand how difficult this is to accept, and I hope that you will be able to come to terms with everything eventually.  Finally, unless you want to talk directly about Lee Jong Hyun, you need to post in a different forum, such as the 1N2D forum, because this forum does not cover Jung Joon Young.

Very well laid out and very well said. You don’t need to be sorry to point out an opinion. I believe our friend Shiela Marie here is still absorbing it all. Evil is still evil, wrongdoings need to be punish so evil doers won’t do it again and learned that lesson.  The sinners need to experience the shame they put upon the women they played with and for sure all of them well deserve the judgement of the world. Let me put it this way, even though we’re fans, we’re women first and good citizens. Let’s not brush off evil doings, it’s better to point it out in a good way and not hastily. @ shiela Marie green, your welcome to put your input.

So much hateful comments at the comment section both in YouTube and Instagram about Lee Jonghyun. I’m so sad that if people commented something positive toward Jonghyun, they immediately rebuke you and say you too are committing his crime with him. What’s with that? It is never like that. But people’s positive comments where not explain perfectly by the commenter. also, people are so quick to judge and close theiR mind. That is not healthy either. Two side points should weigh the pros and cons also. We are all for justice. Put them to jail okay. But listen people also are capable of change. I’ve heard and seen a lot of terrible terrible things than this and the sinners were miraculously change by Gods help and Gods Grace. Lord, I pray, help us and helped humanity. (Ponder the achievement of God. He doesn’t condone our sin; nor does He compromise His standards. He doesn’t ignore our rebellion; nor does He relax his demands. Rather than dismiss our sin, He assumes our sin and incredibly sentences Himself. God’s  Holiness is honored. Our sin is punished. And we are redeemed. God is still God. And we are made perfect) — “Max Lucado”. I don’t mean to make it seemed like we can just sin and God be okay with it. He still calls us to a Holy life. I’m preaching His Grace and teaching what God EXPECTS of US.

Lee Jonghyun and all of us well get through this.It won’t be painless. It won’t be quick. But God will use this mess for good.Don’t be foolish or naïve.But don’t despair either. With God’s help, we’ll get through this. He may fear he won't make it through. We all do. We fear that the depression will never lift, the yelling will never stop, the pain will never leave. In the pits, surrounded by steep walls and aching reminders, we wonder: Will this gray sky ever brighten? This load ever lighten? God doesn't promise that getting through trials will be quick or painless. It wasn't for Joseph--tossed in a pit by his brothers, sold into slavery, wrongfully imprisoned, forgotten and dismissed--but his Old Testament story is in the Bible for this reason: to teach us to trust God to trump evil. What Satan intends for evil, God redeems for good.

put our faith in God's promises. Because of God's promises, Noah built an ark on dry land, Abraham went to a distant land, Joshua claimed the Promised Land, David became king, Peter preached the first sermon, and John caught a glimpse of the future. The stories of the men and women in Scripture were different, but the theme was the same: they were people of the Promise. Since the beginning of time, God's relationship to humankind has been shaped by specific requirements and promises. These covenants were unchangeable decrees that defined the outflow of history. Some of the promises were positive, the assurance of blessings. Some of them were negative, the guarantee of consequence. But all the promises were binding. This world has a tremble to it. There are things that seem unsteady in this life. But when we belong to God, it allows us to filter our problems through the promises of God. When crises arise, we can simply mutter, "But God said…" When struggles threaten, we can be seen flipping through the Bible, saying, "I know that God said something about this." When we choose to be people of the promise, we choose to build our lives on promises of God not the circumstances of life.It is through the great and precious promises that we participate in the divine nature of God. They sit like golden stones in the pathway to God's world. They are strong boulders that form the bridge over which we walk from our sin to salvation. They aren't just great, they are "very great"; and they aren't just valuable, they are "precious." To bind them around our neck is to adorn ourselves with the finest jewels of the universe. As Dwight Moody put it, "If you would spend a month feeding on the precious promises of God—you wouldn’t be going about complaining how poor you are. You would lift up your head and proclaim the riches of His Grace, because you couldn’t help doing it." (Max Lucado).

When I first read about Jung JoonYoung's chatroom, I hoped that JongHyun's name wouldn't get dragged (somehow I felt he would be)... Like every one of you, I am deeply disappointed and heartbroken upon reading that JongHyun engaged in inappropriate conversations in a manner degrading to women, much more, engaged in sexual activity. The image I had of him came crashing down... In full force... So, it is good that he is embarrassed/ashamed as he should be, as per the reports, and knows what he did was wrong... I pray he will truly reflect and change his ways (if he hadn't already)... In all honesty, though, I still am a fan at heart... Learning he has left that chatroom a long time ago is a relief and another consolation is that he is not involved in the other chatroom case involving Burning Sun and others. It's bad as it is!... I can't imagine the repercussions it will bring to his career and life if he engaged in that one... I hope for him to be strong amidst the criticisms, backlash and hardships brought by this events. He said he'll accept them... I just pray he'll be strong enough to withstand them as it can get pretty nasty... The same prayer goes out for his family as well... I hope he chooses his friends wisely...

And to our dear SeungYeon, I pray you are doing ok. I am not sure how much of a relationship you have with JongHyun (just so you know I'm a hardcore Brownie), but I pray you and your family is at peace amidst this appalling situation...

I quote @Aileen4ever:

23 hours ago, Aileen4ever said:

Please, let's pray for Seungyeon and her family. Let's pray also for the victims all over the world dealing with similar circumstances like South Korea, people that are being taken advantage off, victims of their surroundings, and that it never happens again. Let's pray for those who really are sorry for their actions and want to change for real, and be better people, better yet, let's pray for them to look within themselves and seek help if they feel the need of harming others, so they can stop on time. Let's pray for the families of the victims. Let's pray for the families of those who hurt them, and are hurt themselves because they didn't teach their kids to hurt others, and are caught in this awful situation.

Let's pray for a better world, and let's help others in need. Don't be blind to injustice, but, don't lose the faith in the humanity.

Time might heal the pain, let's move on, and hope for a better tomorrow.

Brownie hugs to each of you!

Lesson from the scandal: it IS necessary for us to surround ourselves with “good” people. People who will make us want to be better, or people who can encourage and inspire us.

But there’s a fine line between guarding your heart from “toxic” people,

and simply judging them based on a first impression,

passing all of them off as negative influences.

The thing is, we're ALL broken people. Nobody is perfect. Even if their Instagram feeds make it seem like they are, they're not. Even if they look like they’ve got everything going for them, they’re not perfect. Nobody is. We all have stuff we're battling with internally that tend to eventually surface in the form of insecurities, anxieties, defensiveness, etc.

But when you battle through the hassle of peoples imperfections,

many times that’s the only time you’ll see the good in them.

And that’s what allows them to see the good in you too. :)

God promised that if we wanted to have joy, we have to obey all of His commandments (John 15:10-14). And THE mother of all is the two-pronged commandment 1) Love God with all your heart and 2) Love your NEIGHBOR as yourself.

Look at some of the richest people in the world. They can afford all of the possibilities that could make them happy. Yet they choose to give away most of what they have! Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Richard Branson, Elon Musk. Man, these guys must be on to something with this whole giving and loving thing!

There really isn’t a secret to finding happiness. You just have to start looking outside of yourself for it. Love people. No matter how broken and imperfect they are.  (Nikki Gil)

Why the need to defend him? Even if you will, they wouldn’t listen anyway. Just let it be. People somehow think that because he has this scandal they have all the  right to just criticize everything, but we can’t do anything about it. We’re not him and he said he’ll accept the criticisms. So trust the process. Be strong and don’t cry. Fighting!
