I have seen this male lead in three drama shows including Ten Miles Peach Blossom. He didn’t seem so stiff in Peach Blossoms or maybe I didn’t notice because he was a supporting character. In any case, he is majorly stiff in this drama. Even the way he walks is stiff. I hope he improves because he’s getting lead roles now. 
 

The female lead I enjoyed. As others pointed out, she was fantastic in that scene where she defended herself in front of the biased and foolish emperor. I loved when she took the sword and swiftly slashed up those pouches. Served the male lead spectacularly. Overall, I did like the story despite ridiculous plots like amnesia.
