I was not happy when she decided to leave the country but I start to think it is a solution. Yes, she needs a break but she could go on a trip. Take a pay holliday she never has taken. It is better than leave the country. I hope she will get her mojo back and fight for herself and her relationship with Tae Joo.

She needs to go alone a few days if she will want to sort her thoughts but I am nothing against to get Tae Joo.

But speaking of a trip I really want to see Mi Ri and Tae Joo going to a trip later, just two of them, and let all the problems behind for a while.

 

Maybe Mi Ri finds out in the next episode that her resignation was aproved. Ouch! She will think she doesn`t any other solution but let see what will cause her to change her mind, to see more clearly the situation.

The first thought when I saw them kissing....she is kissing him already and her older sister is still shy about it. Come on, Mi Ri! You are competitive. Show your real nature!

I actually watched the whole scene with MH being sequestered in a secluded place with WJ. She seems bearable when she does not overact or do odd things with her face. Mr. Bang seems to be there for comic relief so I am going to forgive his scene in the soup place. His crying part was not very successful - more like a tantrum and no tears. 

I can't put my finger on MR's character, she is efficient and meticulous in planning and executing her work, there is a stern streak which makes her subordinates not comfortable socialising with her, she cried buckets when SJ got angry that she saw IS, but when IS called she becomes a puppet even though she's made of sterner stuff and she knows that SJ will be hurt.

I will pray to see the moment  where she free herself of In Sook`s emotional influence. It is alright if they will have a good relationship but I want to see tha day when Mi ri will feel comfortable around her biological mother. Than it will mean that she moved on.

Thinking about it, I think it is good that Mi Ri will get fired (her resignation was aproved). It will be a good think for her in the end.

 

Tae Joo loves so much to tease Mi Ri.

MH dating or rather with who? I was so busy yesterday didn't even have time for anyone except MR's scenes from Sat episode. Its good they are showing relationship progression so early. As long as it keeps going. 

 

I haven't decided how I feel about the way TJ is behaving. A positive spin on it is that he is really happy with MR so therefore he feels free to be light hearted and teasing. Like he trusts in her character and consistency. He just goes for it not hiding it. There is no uncertainties with him. He does not feel the need to behave like a man dating a senior manager.

 

That's the positive spin. The negative spin would run more like yikes, he is over 30. That's a marriageable age. Why is  he fooling around with someone his father would object to. Why are you not doing steak dinners and adult dates? Would a man even tease like that?

 

I did post a few weeks back that TJ hasn't been written as mature enough for MR. At this point I am pretty sure its intentional by the writer. I presume so since I actually liked her previous works.

 

Its MR who is more of a surprise. She goes all in huh? Once she decided to let him know she has feelings she doesn't seem to let or be constrained by expected behaviour. In this case I mean her doing the barking. She doesn't seem to be the type that needs to be seen to be behaving as she ought to. In contrast to IS who makes herself behave as she ought to.

 

She gave up MR because she had to to marry into the chaebol family. She behaved and cooked for her in laws like a submissive wife. She behaved like she ought to during the 10yrs in the other dept. She is now throwing MR away because she is behaving like she ought to based on the Chairman's comments.

 

Where else MR is behaving as she wants to. She helps in the SJ's restaurant. She behaves as she wants to when TJ thinks she didn't prioritise him. To placate him to apologise. In fact she has apologised a few times to him. IS never apologizes. Then she behaves as she wanted to towards her team. But then also shows her warmth when she needed to when her team is upset.

 

 

So although I wasn't that happy with the Sat episode's last scene I presume the writer has a reason. To develop the character's development as the drama progressed. To set the tone of what kind of relationship it is between those 2. So far it seems to be a couple who does not conform to expected behaviour or a couple who value their interactions. They are honest towards each other.

 

So yeah, you can see it in a positive light. Or a very negative light. I am still undecided at this point. However am darn happy it is progressing so fast.

 

Addit- I haven't been watching all the episodes with subs or reading it properly. That assistant manager Park. Is he being subbed as Mr Park or they are calling him as something else? Not subbing it as Park Daeri right? The only objection I have to him dating is for the girl's behalf. His shirts taste!!! And dating someone who has such a loose mouth and gossips and whines like that? Yikes.

I've had enough of jae bum, tbh, I didn't emphasise with him from the first episode. He was friend zoned by Mi hye but keeps wanting more because he was nice to mi hye. It's very manipulative, to feel like someone owes you something because you were very nice to them. He's becoming worse and worse as the episodes go on. Mi Hye is growing on me and becoming more likeable, it's nice to see how she develops as a writer. Tae joo does seem childish at times, but he's also starting to speak up for himself, looking at the preview for next week. Also, at first I kind of understood mi sun's mother in law and how she now wants to relax and not look after kids but then she should not have looked down at SJ and acted all high and mighty while making her daughter in law do everything (like making the meal for her friends). She says her husband never helped with the kids, but she's enabling her son to do the same. It was very satisfying when Jin soo's dad flipped him over

I could understand why TJ portrayed childish and playful character towards MR, it is an intentional by the script writer...if two of them continue behave coldness outside the workplace and even if TJ follow his dad's conventional thinking, the two lines will never meet. The two must be the opposite character or having differences to attract and compliment each other. Only when two lines meet, it will impact their surrounding people/characters, the story will increase intense level and conflict among the parties. In real life, it is possible for younger man to behave childish and playful in a relationship because my ex-bf did the same, he needs attention, he check on you often...he wants to be part of your life as much as possible. But they can be very fun and loving. I am sure the writer had done much research. 

I am curious to see how the plot goes further, until now, i am not sure how and what IS plan, we can only speculate in this forum.... we know that she wants her daughter to leave the company, but when MR turn her down, what is her next plan of action? I also wish to see how MR will react when she finds out that TJ is the future possible CEO....the son of the old chairman 

PS : I love the story progress fast..i dislike slow paste storyline....

I could not watch the whole episode (no time at all) but I saw the important scenes.

 

I have to say, I was very curious what In Sook said to Director Park when he find out the truth. She did not say much. She was afraid that people will think that she knew that Mi Ri was her daughter for a longer time. What? This is the major problem for her? I thought it was something important. I hope she did not want to say much because it was not Director Park`s business to know and her panic is not related to this issue. IMO, this is a weak reason for In Sook to be this agitated. We`ll see.

 

I am happy that Mi Ri reacted when she find out that her biological mother is sending her to US. She said to her that she doesn`t want to go. YES! Good, girl! If in the next episode, her resignation was accepted and she was let go from the company against her wish, it is another thing. I don`t know the law, but I think In Sook got lucky because Mi Ri was first to send the resignation. Maybe it is not possible to withdrew her resignation without the CEO`s aproval.  Mi Ri`s impulsive nature makes her troubles again.

If she was let go from the company, Mi Ri DEFINETLY should stay in the country and take some time off. I was so sad for her when she said to Tae Joo that she did not had leusure time for herself. Study, study and more study at shool. work , work and more work at the company. This could be a new start for her.

i hvent watch the latest eps this weekend.. but i saw some clips of mother-daughter bonding time and i really liked it.

 

sidenote:. i dunno y but KHS reminds me of Meryl Streep.. such a great actress..ive watched all KHS’ weekend dramas and i hv to say, she never disappoint..

MS/JS/MIL/FIL

The problem with this pairing and family dynamic is that a LOT of decisions were made by the MIL that have negatively affected MS/JS/DB and most of it is because the MIL is passive aggressively dealing with her own issues through them. I believe that she probably had it hard when she was younger, married and left to raise JS. But she didn't raise him, she coddled him and spoiled him and set him up to be a useless man in the real world. Since this drama began, he has already taken off of work at least three times, not because he, his wife or his child is sick. Not because of a death in the family, but simply because he wanted to do go off and do something for himself. JS is one of those people that wants peak reward for doing the bare minimum. This is why he is so messy and selfish. This is how he was raised. You may as well say that MO was a single mother. The lack of his father's presence and influence in his life is really prevalent now that he is a father. He has no sense of obligation or accountability. The MIL feels entitled because she is from the generation that suffered in silence. She did all of the cooking, cleaning and child rearing with no help. SIDENOTE: She mentioned this to her friends on the golf course as a way to say her generation was superior, but unless the writer hasn't let on, JS is her only child. She did not have to take care of multiple children. Either way, now she wants her DIL to suffer like she did, and she wants her to suffer in silence. This is why she wanted her to quit her job and just wait on everyone hand and foot. There is just one problem. MS can't quit because they would not be able to stay in that apartment. They live in an area that puts them at the top of their budget and leaves very little room to save money for other things. 

SOLUTION: Leave the apartment. Get that security deposit back. and move somewhere else that is much more affordable. They can pay off some of their debt and possibly afford a babysitter. That would clear up the problem with the in-laws butting in their family life. It would clear up the problem of depending on either mother to watch DB, and it would free up MS and JS to their work endeavors. But, I guess they need the drama.

 

MH/WJ/JB

MH has become more likable now that she has stepped back into her purpose. She is no longer miserable from centering her life around her family. She is finally writing and creating again, and it shows because she is less fussy and whiny and much more logical and happier. However, JB needs to get a reality check. MH is at least 30/31 years-old. She and JB have known each other since at least high school/college. So for ten years, she has ONLY looked at you as a friend, an annoying friend at that, and he is going around throwing full blown tantrums like he is her husband. It is so unattractive, and ridiculous! I found it telling when MR scolded him about losing weight and becoming more attractive to catch MH's attention. That is not the issue. MH has friend zoned him because from a personality perspective that is how she sees him. He could have lost all the weight in the world, got a six pack, and new haircut and she would still only look at him as a friend. JB needs a personality makeover. He is a doormat on one hand and goes around tending to her like he is her personal flunkie [no woman would be attracted to that type]. Then, on the other hand, he is overbearing, possessive and needy. Again, not an attractive trait. WJ, on the other hand, is steady, careful and trusts MH to write like she did before. MH was actually vulnerable to JB when she confessed that she is easily distracted and cannot just write award winning material overnight. He grew silent at this, and instead of encouragement and SPACE to write, he has become a hindrance. MS coddling him is misleading and thus he is out of the loop and MH is in the woods with WJ. 

 

MR/TJ/IS/Chairman/SJ

IS abandoned her daughter because when her husband died, being a poor single mother went beyond what she had signed up for. She wanted to live the good life and knew she would not be able to do that with a child in tow. Unfortunately for MR, this is not something you can just get over. MR probably never had therapy for this, and was just thrust in SJ's family to smile and be thankful someone wanted to take care of her. This is why I did not care for SJ's antics last week. MR not saying anything wasn't some sort of betrayal, it is normal. What was she supposed to say? I feel like her desire to see her mother and possibly re-connect is a way for her heal or get closure. MR still does not trust IS but she wants to see where this is going and what is going to happen. That is natural and normal. I just believe that she is going to find out IS is not worth having any type of relationship with. TJ is innocent, pouty and unafraid to move forward with MR because he has been very sheltered. After his mom passed, IS stepped in a raised him and coddled him so that he didn't have a care in the world. Then he left and was able to be carefree in the states. He comes from wealth, so he has never had to want for anything. He has learned to work hard from that, which is why he empathizes with people and seems fair, but when it comes to his family dynamic, he is very much out of the loop. I don't think he understands the brevity of his family's treachery or the behind-the-scenes deeds they have done. This is why I believe there will be a separation and time jump. This will harden and mature him a bit before he steps into the CEO role. He is going to be devastated by the fact that IS has nurtured him so she can cosplay being some queen dowager over that company.

 

That is why when IS saw them hugging in the hallway and listened to their banter, she became so shook. TJ is the key to her finally getting what she believes is due to her. As long as their relationship is air tight, she believes she can secretly run the show. The Chairman is aware of this, which is why I believe he is going to take a more active interest in his son's life. He is going to find out that MR is the daughter she abandoned and he is going to threaten her with this information. He doesn't care about that, he just wants to keep IS in her place, after all, she is JUST a woman in his book. It is unrealistic for MR to stay at the company. Even the chairman has plans to throw her away eventually. She should get out while she can and go somewhere that she can flourish and possibly be the competition. Take her experience elsewhere and not continue to feed into a well with a hole in it.
