The second female lead is very bad at plotting XD

she is not only bad.....she kinda feel fake to me too.....she is too thin ><"

The better the second female character is not too tempting, so not spoil the harmony of the main couple hiihiii

Spoiler

finally on Thursday, hopefully tonight's a lot of sweet scenes. I really like this husband and wife interaction, a husband who is cold outside but aggressive inside and a funny wife is sometimes careless

Goodness... gracious me... this is a low budget Mainland update on Fated to Love You! Why didn't anyone say so? I'd been all over it by now. ;) But hah... the jewellery exhibition bears distinct similarities with the casino moment on board the cruise ship. Hehehe... she landed in the wrong car... *nudge, nudge... wink wink*

I don't suppose pregnancy will feature in this. Pity... I do love contract marriages though... and there's a grandma too!

Grandma is there.  But she don't take the main place as in FTLU.  This is completely different.  Check this out.  And regarding pregnancy, I hope u r wrong.  In the spoilers for u:wub::wub:

Ok, I saw both episodes 14 and 15 raw and I am going to become a diabetic patient becoz of the OTP's sugary sweetness. OMG, so many kisses between them.  They are really cute.  It's been revealed that she is pregnant already and Yi Zhou is in cloud nine.  His mom is entering the episode and he has a sour face seeing her. :love: episodes.

no there is no pregnancy.....and it is not Fated to Love You :D

Are you sure about that? :P;)

Because there are echoes of FTLY all over the show. It doesn't follow the source material's trajectory in the way the K version did but it feels like the people who put this together saw FTLY, chopped it up, took the ideas and rejigged it. All the elements are there but in a different order and the jobs/tasks have been redistributed to different characters. ;)

But I see that a pregnancy is on the cards and in a different part of the story... awww... YZ will make a doting dad undoubtedly :D . When YZ said to CY that they are brothers... I don't think it just means that they are extremely good friends.

Anyhow... it doesn't really matter if it's FTLY remixed or not because it looks like a lovely romcom anyway. The male and female leads are better actors than I initially gave them credit for. Their chemistry is off the charts.

It's quite delightful.

Although YZ was a dill to use that medical diagnosis to tether her to him in the first place. Didn't he ever think it would come back to bite him? I thought he was smarter than that. I'm also surprised that he didn't think he had the confidence to court her the conventional way. Well, he's a control freak I suppose ;)

Anyway, apart from that moment of idiocy and stupidity, it's lovely to see two people in a drama so in love with each other and not afraid to show it.

@angelangie, did u manage to watch the yesterday's episodes or not?  It was awesome.  Loved it.

Oh, YZ is so protective of XL.  I LL make screenshots of those sweet things later and post it here.  They are love :kiss_wink: and sweet OTP.

@40somethingahjumma this drama is delightful really.  But this idea of tampering her medical records was ridiculous.   And the villain girl's idea to somehow attain the ML even after knowing he is married, is also ridiculous.  But the OTP are so sweet as the episodes move further.  She understood him where he is coming from when he explains to her and apologize to her heartly for tampering the medical records.

Edit:

They are

@angelangie Well, I'll take your word for it. ;) I've seen the first 3 episodes and jumped around a bit. :P  I like what I see of the OTP so I'll definitely keep going. Very attractive couple and loads of skinship.  It'll be a nice change from the darker stuff I've been looking at lately.

I haven't watched a decent rom com in ages to be honest. Well, at least one that grabs me right away. When I find a good one, I tend to stick around. If XL is going to have a bubby... can I assume that means a happy ending? ;)

Awww...

I love the little bit at the end of Episode 15

Spoiler

"Yi Zhou, have I been forgetting to tell you that I love you?"

"I know it even if you don't say so. But MM, I love you more."

A lot of guys could learn a thing or two from this...

Last night there were very many sweet scenes. YZ's CEO is an aggressive husband, his wife can't block the kiss that insistent hahaha. PD-nim is like preparing a sweet lunch before we see a big conflict next week :glasses:

I don't understand next weeks preview.  How did Ling Boss get himself into a situation like that??  Also, why didn't XL pick up what LYZ said the reason why mom left and what his mother said were very different.  He said she left him and his dad behind and never looked back.  She said she couldn't live with him because of his controlling ways.  kind of what XL feared would happen to her if she stayed after she found out about the fake medical report.  We go two very sweet episodes so it looks like angst ahead.  Only five episodes left, is that enough time for the other two love stories?  Where are the sweet moments for WL and JF.  WL needs a good retort for boss teasing him about being single all the time.

u find that the guy was actually in love with XiaLin to begin with not the other way around :D the marriage contract was all the guy doing just to tie the girl to him :D and u definitely like the grandma :) she accept the girl cause the grandson like her :)

I got your pun there. :D  Or should I say ref to FTLY

Loved ep 14. The male lead is a hungry wolf.  he's always trying to get her to sleep with her. wow. Talk about aggressive much? But I forgive him for all that he did.  What a great actor. I wasn't expecting a lot of otp scenes like this.

There's no doubt when the OTP are doing well together, the show practically oozes with honey... They're both just adorable and there's no doubting that these two are just nuts about each other. Especially now that they've overcome some big obstacles. The only reason why I asked about the happy ending is that C drama adaptations often screw up the endings of the source material by throwing out a cliffhanger with no promise of a second installment... I've been burnt too many times.

Even while Episode 15 gives us a great deal of insight into why YZ is the man that he was... shut off and controlling... I still think the weakest part of the drama is why he connived to make her believe that she had leukeamia. I don't buy his rationalization one whit even while knowing his mummy/daddy issues. He made things more complicated than it needed to be. I can only imagine that they did it this way to create conflict down the track and/or present CY as a "threat". Well, he was never a believable threat for me. It's one of those odd things about this show... these makjang/melodramatic tropes interspersed with rom com elements... and it works (mostly)... mainly because of the leads are utterly convincing despite the over-the-top scenarios they find themselves in. Amnesia, kidnapping, frame-up job etc. It's practically all there.

Still I love all the fan servicing being dished out and I'm not complaining because let's face it, most shows leave us half-starved for much of the drama. More importantly I think that the OTP does provide really good examples of how difficulties in marriages should be dealt with. Even if the conflicts may seem contrived, the resolutions are actually realistic. There's a lovely scene in one of the earlier episodes. I think it was conflict over Eleven, the "lost" dog. YZ finally gave in and the reason he gave was that he cared more about their relationship than his own wants/demands. There I think he definitely said the right thing. He often says the right thing because he prioritizes XL over everything else even his pride. There lies one of the crucial secrets to marital longevity. In so doing, he makes her feel secure and valued. And very loved.

When I was watching the cherry kiss scene, I was thinking..."that looks familiar...reminds me of the pill kiss scene from The Eternal Love 2..."

While watching the BTS scenes, I was thinking, the way the director was coaching the leads look really familiar...and then I decided to do some checking, and realized that both "Well Intended Love" and "The Eternal Love 2" are directed by the same person...no wonder the lovey-dovey scenes are so diabetic-inducing...I think this director is an expert in such scenes :D

And btw, @40somethingahjumma, this show is definitely not an adaption of FTLY. This was adapted from a web novel and the story is unrelated to FTLY. The spoiler contains a list of what I noticed in characters' background and plot lines of both shows...very little similarities, if any...:)

Spoiler

WIL VS FTLY

  • FL is an actress who isn't well known, but she has always been very positive, has a mind of her own, and will not hesitate to give others a piece of her mind if the situation calls for it VS FL is an administrative staff in a law firm who is a meek pushover and a people pleaser.
  • FL's family was never mentioned, even during her "illness" as a "leukaemia patient" VS FL was close with her later father and her family (mother and 2 elder sisters) are very much seen in the drama, with their own little side stories
  • 3FL ends up with ML's PA VS There is no 3FL and the one who ends up with ML's PA is FL's 2nd sister
  • ML and FL each has a buddy (2ML & 3FL) VS Neither ML nor FL has buddies in the show
  • ML's mum abandoned his father and him, thus his r/s with her is bad VS ML has no issues with his parents, and both have passed on
  • PA was not seen as actively looking out for a r/s VS PA was actively trying to find a girlfriend
  • ML is only child but there's no mention of previous ancestry VS ML is the only child for the 9th generation, which is why granny is so concerned about him having a child
  • ML's granny is happy about his marriage simply because he likes FL VS ML's granny knew he wasn't too keen but still pushed for the marriage, because FL was with child
  • ML knew FL 2 years prior and somewhat orchestrated events to lure FL into marrying him. He has no ex-gf (or drama never hinted he had any)  VS ML didn't know FL and was "forced" into marrying her because he got her with child due to an "accident" which followed his "abandonment" by his ex-gf, who is the 2FL
  • 2ML is ML's buddy, is a celebrity, and did not like FL at the beginning VS 2ML is 2FL's blood brother, has never been a friend of ML, is an art broker, and has always liked FL (originally thought she was his sister as they had same name, but later fell for her)
  • 3ML (somewhat brother of ML) is a dark schemer and a manipulative hypocrite and has issues with his mother (uncertain whether by blood, adoption or step) who is ALSO ML's mother VS 3ML (somewhat brother of ML) is essentially a nice person and has no issues with his own mother, who is NOT ML's mother
  • Both 3ML and 2FL had real malicious intent, and intentionally caused harm to the main couple VS Neither 3ML nor 2FL had real malicious intent, even though they made some bad decisions that somehow harmed the main couple

Well said. I have not seen you post in a while or maybe I am not as active on the forums lately until recently. :)

It is Well Intended Love, don't you think?  :)
