3 Reasons Why Shin Hye Sun Is A Perfect Fit For Her Character In “Angel’s Last Mission: Love”

3 Reasons Why Shin Hye Sun Is A Perfect Fit For Her Character In “Angel’s Last Mission: Love”

Actress Shin Hye Sun has continued to impress with her acting in “Angel’s Last Mission: Love.”

The drama tells the story of a ballerina who doesn’t believe in love (Shin Hye Sun) and a troublemaker angel who becomes her Cupid (INFINITE’s L). The drama has shown solid viewership ratings in its Wednesday-Thursday time slot and recently received special recognition from the Korea Ballet Association.

Shin Hye Sun has been making a name for herself as a talented actress who brings out her own color in her characters but also immerses viewers into the story.

Her commitment to physical acting

Shin Hye Sun has received praise for taking on a character who was both a former ballerina and is currently experiencing sight loss due to an accident. As soon as she was cast in the drama, the actress enrolled in ballet lessons and continued taking lessons even when filming began. To date, she has undergone six months of hardcore ballet practice, fitting in lessons around her busy filming schedule.

She has also impressed with her ability to portray a woman undergoing sight loss, which involves careful placing of the gaze. Before filming began, she attended art installations that mimicked the experience of living with blindness in order to understand her character’s point of view.

Her ability to play two different roles

Shin Hye Sun’s character, Lee Yeon Seo, is an heiress who loses both her parents, her sight, and her career in a single accident. She cannot trust anyone around her because they are only after her money, and she becomes coldhearted and cynical as a result. However, Shin Hye Sun also plays another role in the drama, Choi Sul Hee, who is Ji Kang Woo (Lee Dong Gun)’s former lover. Choi Sul Hee looks exactly like Lee Yeon Seo, but has a very different personality. Although Choi Sul Hee only appeared briefly in the drama, viewers were shocked at the transformation in Shin Hye Sun as a freewheeling ballerina who danced in the streets and spoke fluent English.

Her careful character analysis

Lee Yeon Seo undergoes a lot of changes in the drama, and Shin Hye Sun was able to make these changes believable with her acting. She is able to transmit excitement, happiness, sadness, and uncertainty in a character who first keeps up a cold mask before meeting the angel Dan. She is even able to transmit Lee Yeon Seo’s feelings through her performance in the ballet “Giselle,” making her the perfect fit for her character.

Next day, date time! Angel Dan has the picnic basket. They go out to their favorite bench. Quick shot of picnic and now riding bikes happily. They go for a walk and share some cute kisses. But it's too fast! Want more date scene grrrrrr. They cut short the happy moments, not cool.

Now back to drama with Nina and JKW meeting. Nina slaps JKW. Drama drama.

Back to date yaaay. They are on park bench. Dan is laying on her lap. Quick PPL for her foundation. Dan opens his eyes and they start talking. Something YS says makes Dan quickly sit up. I can't tell the mood of this convo. The music is kitschy.

Omo so YS took Angel Dan to the church. Think she wanted to get married. He walks away. She went after him saying I love you and practically begging. They argue and he looks sad. Suddenly he sees a kid about to get hit by a truck. He runs out in front and gets hit a little. Then faints. He wakes up in hospital. YS is there. They go home and she bandages up a little cut he has. So I'm confused. He didn't get totally healed but he got healed a little bit? Hrmmm need more explanation.

YS and Angel Dan are waiting for rain now so he can show his wings. But it's clear like every day.

But now it's night and per preview stills, they are outside watching the moon and it starts raining. He stands there with his arms out wide. No wings. YS is super happy be cause it must mean he's human right? They hug and then share a pretty hot kiss in the rain. That was a good kiss.

Omo he puts her to bed and they keep kissing. What are they implying here? Quick shot of his handkerchief sparkling on the table.

Morning time. They are sleeping in the same bed but still clothed so who knows! Dan reaches to caress her face and suddenly freaks out. He runs to the church to ask Hu what is going on. Is he human now? Hu just seems frustrated. And Dan seems confused. He must realize it's not as simple as that.

He walks out of the church looking a bit dismayed. He starts smiling, then laughing, then crying. Awww Angel Dan. Need more tissues.....

I'M IN SHIPPERS HEAVEN!  SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL!!! The bed scene was lovely but as always everything is bittersweet and heartwrenching with these two because Dan begins to disappear the next morning (his hand becomes transparent)
