Totally agree with you regarding Qiu Jing and Ming Cheng. Loving the role reversal in their storyline and how confident and smart QJ is. They do have some nice banter in their scenes together. I find them really cute!

 

You make some good points! Agree that for Xiao Fei these girls are more like family for him and he's protecting them. 

 

So, I've seen episodes 14-15, and things are heating up for all 3 couples. First, loved the scenes between BQJ and LMC. She's slowly falling for him but trying to deny it because she knows her friend Zhou Shi has a huge crush on him. As for LMC, he gets so flustered by her but still hasn't admitted to himself that he's romantically attracted to her. However I think things are changing between them after that scene with the astronomy machine with the 2 of them looking at the stars together. The look on LMC face when BQJ put her head on his shoulder-too cute. Zhou Shi is getting the message about LMC feelings after observing that he gave BQJ  the meat that ZS made for him. BQJ is also feeling a little bit jealous about LMC. It was so cute when she urged ZS in her head to strike back at Mean Girl classmate after the classmate was so happy they would both be working at Yun Ma Corporation. 

Fei Fei and Xiao Fei had some nice moments these episodes. FF is already a little bit jealous of ZS being XF favorite. FF can try to tell herself she's going to be with Uncle, but we know the truth after she ran off to rescue XF and then she's buying XF his favorite foods at the grocery store. 

About the roomates: I really enjoy Bi Qiu jing's character.  I totally agree it's so refreshing to have an unapologetically intelligent female character in a romantic comedy and not even the usual drama cliche of a makeover to make her "pretty".  As I said in my previous posts I love that she subverts the usual tropes but I just didn't find their scenes talking about game moves and physics that interesting.  Now there is a bit more movement and banter with their relationship I'm enjoying their scenes a lot more. I agree the scene with the astronomy machine definitely shows things are changing.  By the way, I thought I had seen everything with product placement but a home astronomy machine is a new one lol! 

 

Fei Fei and Ning Fei scenes are so much fun together too.  Like when he was worried about Shi Shi and FF was about to go and look for her, then was like wait? why am I taking orders from you? Or when they were shopping and Xiao fei was just buying whatever he wanted and she sarcastically said he should just buy the supermarket and Xiao Fei's face was like  but then FF was like NO!  I love that she's a little jealous that Zhou Shi is obviously his favourite new big sis  I just don't like her storyline with WQ's slimy uncle because I find him so creepy.

 

The barbeque scene was so funny especially when the flatmates were urging Shi Shi in their heads to strike back, LMC was trying to figure out what was wrong in his head, then Xiao Fei is just excitedly asking out loud if they Shi Shi is going to add more meat 

 

That mean girl just keeps turning up where she isn't wanted like a bad smell like a bad smell, doesn't she?

Yes, the relationship between FF and XF is cute. Fei Fei is very protective toward Xiao Fei. I had to laugh at that fur stole scene because the filmmakers either forgot about Fei Fei's jacket or they just didn't care. In the scene Fei Fei was first wearing both the Uncle's jacket and the fur stole/wrap. Then she takes off the jacket and the fur to put on Xiao Fei, but only gives him the fur-she keeps the jacket, but she doesn't put the jacket back on, she just carries it and so she has bare shoulders and arms. So when they are walking she is shivering and cold but she just carries the jacket, she shivers until Xiao Fei shares the fur with her.  It was so unrealistic of her to not put the jacket on. I understand what the production was going for-sweet scene with XF sharing the fur, but it made FF look so silly. I wish they could have changed it to XF putting the jacket on FF. 

 

Update: So, I have finally gone crazy with this drama. I couldn't stand the wait for english subbed episodes and I watched (or skimmed, really) the raw episodes.  and then I found some episodes that had been subbed in Vietnamese, and I used 3 online translating sites to translate some of the scenes into english.  Things I learned: typing in dialogue line by line into an auto translate site is time consuming. The translations are often just plain weird and do not make sense, sometimes I got 3 different translations for the same sentence from each of the 3 sites I found.  However, I was able to get a general understanding of the scenes, but I still need to watch the english subbed episodes.

For Fei Fei -Exactly right! It was so ridiculous! When she started shivering I thought she was going to just put on the jacket and Xiao Fei would help her do it to make a romantic scene. Instead FF is just looking around- I was like " You're holding a jacket in your hands, woman. Use it!" 

 

As for me doing my own translations with Google Translate, et al- Obiously, this drama has made me crazy, but thanks. I'm not that computer savvy, so I'm sure there is probably a much faster  and easier way to do translations out there.  I just had to know what was being said by our two leads for a few scenes. Good news is I found out that Wei Qing does have a nice scene in Ep. 27 where he meets another woman who he is not allergic to and they have a nice chat, so I was glad to know about that since I had been worried about that aspect of the storyline.  I can't wait to watch this scene again once it's subbed in english.

what's with that young CEO girl Ms.Xue.  why is she so touch-touchy with WQ?   Does she know his condition and want to expose it?  Or she is in love with him? 

 

I don't like WQ mom.  She is crazy, really.  How can she treat his son like that?   She did not get into the matter of how his hubby died and just came to a conclusion, he died becoz of WQ.  she was also not happy when she heard from the lawyer that Yun Ma is to be headed by WQ.  After hearing that, atleast she should have understood why her husband wrote in the will like that?  Oh, she is really an awful character.

 

I liked how ZS tried to prevent WQ from others touch especially that CEO Ms.Xue shaking hands with WQ during that jewelry exhibition.

Ep. 17 is fixed now and you can watch it with english subtitles.  I just finished watching Ep. 16-17. 

CEO Ms. Xue likes Wei Qing. She doesn't know about his condition. Yeah, WQ mother does not treat him well. I laughed at the scenes of ZS being WQ "bodyguard" as well.   In the episode, WQ asked her (well told her, really) to be his bodyguard for Ms. Xue's party and not to let anyone touch him. ZS took her job seriously! Haha!  I loved the scene between Bai Qiu Jing and Li Meng Cheng these episodes.  First, BQJ was so funny treating the mini home astronomy machine/planetarium like a baby, holding it in .her arms, and then she was afraid LMC was there to take it back. Haha. How cool was it that LMC sought BQJ out to help him solve the Yun Ma Art financial problems because she is better at math than he is? LOVED IT that again we saw a SMART WOMAN! And he was so cute feeding her and then covering her up with the blanket. Once again, Zhou Shi witnessed his care of Qiu Jing, but is still in denial. Fei Fei tried to let her down easy but it didn't work. I think she knows deep in her heart what's going on but doesn't want to face the reality. I was glad ZS remembered that passionate poolside kiss. Wei Qing continues to tease her, like when he told her he couldn't help her take off the necklace because it had a combination lock, and he forgot the passcode.  I think he's falling for her and trying to distance himself. I was disappointed that once again WQ didn't tell ZS about his illness. How many episodes will pass before he tells her the truth? I'm getting a little impatient now with the drama dragging this out. 

Xiao Fei is falling for Fei Fei now. He was really upset that FF didn't ask him to be her escort for her class reunion.  fei Fei is so protective of XF, even ordering him takeout for dinner on the night of the class reunion.  As always, the episodes just flew by, and now the wait is killing me for the next episode!

Yeah I noticed that as well. But its uploaded at PP’s with English subs now. 

 

Ms Xue seems to be an opportunist, (though I’m not sure if the actress is fully capable of bringing out the character’s traits. Like the actress isn’t as seductive as she’s supposed to be...maybe too nice.) I don’t know. It just comes across as awkward pawning over WQ. Maybe the character is supposed to entice WQ to sell the gallery?

 

WQ’s Mom is cray cray. Blinded by her love for her husband and hatred for her son are twisted. A rational person would go crazy trying to explain things to someone who doesn’t respond to logic. 

 

ZS gives us such nice comic relief.  I love the balance between serious dramatic moments and laughter to lighten the mood, without being too over the top.

Watched Episodes 16 and 17.  Wei Qing's mother is an awful, foolish woman.  It's so awful seeing how cold and selfish she is towards her own flesh and blood.

 

I feel like I haven't praised our heroine enough but just want to say I really love ZS character.. She is so funny, warm and cute but I also appreciate she isn't an idiot or a pushover like these type of characters often are.  I love her interactions with all the characters especially what a good big sister she is to Xiao Fei and, of course, every scene with Wei Qing.  I'm loving this friendship stage of their relationship and how comfortable, happy and amused WQ is around her. It was hilarious how seriously she took her body guard duty too

 

I agree that Zhou Shi can probably sense what is going on with BQJ and LMC but doesn't want to face up to losing her crush yet.  IIt was so funny seeing BQJ babying the projector and how she ran away when she answered the door because she thought LMC wanted to take it way from her earlier than arranged   I agree  that it is so awesome that she is a smart woman and it isn't downplayed at all.  LMC admires, seeks her opinion and even caters to her.  It is so rare to see an intelligent female character like this who even gets an attractive love interest without a makeover or having to change her personality like most dramas.

 

Fei Fei is annoying me in the last few episodes.  She doesn't have any experience, abilities or skills and is only getting these opportunities at this company because the slimy uncle has taking a liking to her.  She knows it and rather than try to prove the other girls wrong and succeed on her own merits, she encourages him.  He has even given her this creative editor position which she doesn't deserve at all.  I can't root for her when on her first day, instead of applying herself and proving she is worthy of the job, she is just sitting at her desk taking selfies and posting to social media.  I can totally understand why the other girls were being B!tc4es to her when this newbie girl with no experience is getting all the opportunities and preferential treatment whilst openly flirting around with the boss.  Also the way she just dismisses Xiao Fei's opinion even though he knows the uncle and she doesn't is so arrogant and rude  No wonder he was so frustrated with her.

You nailed why Xue Zi scenes with WQ are so weird.  I think she is supposed to be sexy and confident business woman type but the actress doesn't have the ability to show that type of seductive personality so "awkward pawing" is exactly the right word for the scenes where she is coming on to him

 

By the way, I thought Zhou Shi also wore the much prettier necklace from the collection.  The green one on Xue Zi looked so cheap and ugly (sorry Xiao Fei/Xun Ran)

When both WQ and Ms.Xue are.fighting over the rights for gallery, XF takes a decision like this.  Good for the gallery. 

 

But I feel it rightly belong to WQ coz he is trying to protect his dad's gallery unlike his mom who I think without knowing about the gallery's financial crisis, acting so dumb and putting the blame.on his son

WQ’s mother is unredeemable. She is actually lucky to have such a capable son who not only kept the art gallery afloat, but grew the company. WQ does all the work. XF told ZS that WQ used to get bullied by the uncle back in the day. Can’t stand them! I would love for WQ to kick her out of YM & cut her off.

Ok, now that EP.18 & 19 are subbed, we are entering the fun part from EP.20, WQ moving into her place above her

So all the finance of YM are manipulated by Dir.He and I hate his mom to the core.  And I like how WQ, when he had the conversation with his uncle, referred his mom as "your eldest sister" and not his mom.  

So, miss xue is in love with WQ, which was confirmed by his uncle.  I don't know what will be her next step.  Hope she just return xunran gallery back to WQ and give a big slap to his mom, by doing that.

So, NF do understand how WQ is, but small misunderstandings between them are separating the both.  Hope they reconcile fast in the future. 

And OMG,.the kiss between NF and FF, wow!!!!! This boy can kiss!!!!

Reg.our main OTP, they are very cute.  Atlast she found out the reason for his allergic reactions.  But it was funny how she ran around his house thinking of more physical contacts from him with her, since she was the one he can touch not having any allergic reactions..  she tried to overpower him believing she is more stronger than him not thinking that he is a guy who is more strong than her.  So cute.  Atlast she surrendered.  I like how WQ is progressing with SS slowly and steadily in getting his love and attracting attention from her.  When he understood how simple minded and lovable ZS is, he started approaching her, in her way itself.  .  It's so different from the usual dramas in which the ML will force upon himself in his richly ways on FL.  

The fun part is coming in future.  Let's enjoy them, now that only 11 episodes are only remaining.  Jai you!!!!

Just finished episodes 18 and 19.  As i said previously I'm glad Zhou shi isn't written as stupid even if she can be a little naive or clueless at times, the drama makes it clear she isn't dumb.  Zhou Shi figured out and confronted Wei Qing about his allergy and figured out Xiao Fei was Xun Ran.  My favourite scenes were: ZS confronted WQ, ZS figuring out who XF was and the scene where XF told her who his identity was so cute!

 

Excellent scene when WQ confronted his uncle about his underhanded dealings.  I still think it's a bit of a stretch we are supposed to believe slimy uncle is only 2 years older than WQ...

 

Looking forward to the fun now WQ is living so close to ZQ for his "treatment"

 

Did anyone notice BQJ song at the karaoke was just all the elements in The Periodic Table? Perfect song for her!

Hehehe, IKR.  She can but distracted when he is near her. How she also loose talked about her remembering kissing him at the swimming pool. He started teasing her.
