Ok no problem chingu. I'll try my best to summarize the main points.

 

Thank god, no annoying characters today lol.

 

JA mom called NJ regarding her dad being in the hospital. NJ takes her to the hospital and she was able to say goodbye to her father and he passed away. NJ took care of the funeral service and he went back to the company on the same day because he promised SJ that he will come back.

 

Golddigger bro is still working at DS cafe.

 

SJ congrats SIU for his engagement that is happening the very next day and she said something that had him thinking to himself. NJ comes back home and he tells him that JA dad passed away and confronts SIU regarding JA and his feelings towards her. SIU looks angry at NJ and the episode ends here.

 

From the preview, OMG SIU cancels the engagement and goes to JA dad funeral to pay respect and promises to take care JA in his place. Bloody Elsa almost faints when she finds out her son missing and probably run off lol. However, NJ mom goes to the police station to turn herself in for causing Golddigger miscarriage and lawyer Heo is there to deal with it.

Finally the dad is dead , we need to prepare  ourselves the annoying ,greedy mother will be on our face now  , poor SH she’s  gonna deal with her now  I am almost feeling sorry for her .

Just got half an hour to run through the episode.  Not much details today, over what @lu09 gave above.  SJ was peeved but was supportive of NJ running out to help his friend - and she convinces herself in the washroom that this was the right thing she had to do.  JA was reluctant to go, and NJ convinces her that she will later regret not seeing her dad - for which she thanks him later at the funeral hall.  JA was thankful that NJ was there as a friend, but also sad that she couldn't show her dad the guy she loves. NJ had to go back, as the team was working late, but said he will be back tomorrow. He has asked SJ to go with him back to the funeral place in the morning.  SH tells SU that she knows some weakness of Han Mi Ra, that she will use to their advantage.  She advises SU to not waste time on romance, which is like rotten food that only causes stomach upset like SU once had in school when he had colorful-looking shaved ice without telling her. At the end, NJ really gives it to SU for treating the one he loves like this - like some rotten food (the same word SH used!).  Though SU looks mad at NJ, he got the point, it seems.  The preview shows him going to the funeral instead of his engagement and telling JA's mom that he will protect JA.  NJ may have brought SU and JA back together.  Those are all the things I can remember. Yeah it was 100% the right thing to do.If he did not go everyone would have felt horrible.

No problem. I was thinking the same. I was like why she turned herself In?? There were police officers who were there when the fight broke out and if it was such a big deal then the arrest would have been already made. This is just stupid.

 

I agree. SIU seems to be changing for the better and I can't wait until he tells his mom enough is enough lol.

@Ameera Ali  JA mom is determine to live Rich If DS family is willing to pay she sell her to them ahain.. But this time she;ll factor in NJ and try to sell her to the highest bidder.. Funny part is both boys have move on from her daughter she'll be eyeing Sw.. I think JA dad will pass away she'll show up in Seoul.

I see that too.  Thanks to NJ - he made SIU think which made him ditch his engagement and run to JA.  So, finally JA dad did get to see her boyfriend.

thanks for the recap @lu09and @jayakris.  why do I feel like this drama is developing too fast?  The 2 male lead characters may either turn to be good friends or eternal enemies (as long as NJ don't continue to butt in SU's life with JA).  I  can't wait to see the disastrous face of SH - seeing her fall at this time is also too early for the drama.

 

Also, let us not have too many idiots in a drama please!!!  NJ was also a bit of that but what is YSJ doing at the police station?  Did she take the word 'murderer' seriously?  Did DS pass on that stupid character to her?

She needs  to put in her thick head it’s was    self defense ,I kind of agree with SH ,what she does is a dump , she keeps making a problem to NJ . She needs to have a babysitter to keep her company. 

 

@sava2sava greedy mom v SH that episode I will not miss , SH wouldn’t know what hit her , if she thinks JA bad what she gonna think about the mother . JA wouldn’t leave SU now she knows she is the only woman in his heart . 

 

@angelwingssf NJ is cute ,never keeps his mouth shut , when he finds out a friend was treated badly  would SH blame him and direct all her anger on him , she will need someone to blame for SU cancelling the engagement

That was stupidity of YSJ to go to the police and fess up.  The cops were right there and they could have arrested her, but they did not.  So, this will start an investigation and DS will say that the cover was near the counter and how come it came to lie on the floor.  This will cause more problems for Gold digger and her brother.  And as usual the fool MS will come and bail them out.  Because he is in love with her.  As @sava2sava or @viyra said, MS need to lose his factory and be on the streets where he cannot fend for himself and only then will he realize that this was all a con by the lady he considered his wife.  

 

@Ameera Ali SH will definitely blame NJ for talking with SIU and knocking some sense into him.  Who is NJ to do that.  The child SH probably tried to get killed?  If SIU is not the biological grand child - he must have gotten the good behavior from his dad who did not kill NJ and instead left him where he could grow up without peeping eyes to figure out who he was.

I think YSJ's police station trip is just silly.  The cop is already seeing that it is ridiculous.  I think the writer is just creating another occasion for the lawyer to get closer to YSJ.   He already liked her lunchboxes, and now he will be struck by how honest she is, and will fall in love with her.  That's all.

@viyra  It's the characters of that small fishing village they all live in.. Stupid was in the water and it seems JA pick up on it at a very early age and as soon as she could she got out quick fast and in a hurry.. 

Now kidnapper # 2, I knew she was stupid when she tried to lie to G.pa about being NJ bio mom.. Come on a total stranger tells you that he knows that the child isn't yours naturally they have done some investigation why try and lie.. She still wasn't going to come clean until G/pa threaten to involve the cops that's when she song like a bird granted G/pa even showed her the evidence that NJ was biologically related to him..

Her going to turn herself in could be a good thing that proves birdbrain dad wrong once again about his Pimp BIL and Golddigging wife.. I hope it plays out she lost the baby trying to protect her PIMP.. But I don't see birdbrain Dad changing anytine soon from his wife..  Knowing him he'll try to knock her up again if she request so.. Since he wants to pull out of helping them SJ should tell her Dad she want her shares back or the PIMP goes to jail.. The golddigging wench can't cry wolf because it's no more baby there.. So kidnapper #2 turning herself in might turn out to be a good thing..

@Ameera Ali  I've always said that #2 and ajjussi would be more of a burden to NJ then JA.. Look at the very beginning of the drama all the problens the both of them created for NJ.. I hope at some point in this drama NJ realizes they are more problen the he needs and he can't keep eveybidy happy at the expense of his own happiness.. Maytbe this is part of a life lesson he needs to also learn.. I think NJ feels he owes her for raising him but technically he owes her nothing.. She had 30 yrs to go to the cops and tell about this kidnap child.. I really don't buy her story to much.. How is it that her Ex family never looked for her or the baby nor did she look for them when she really feel on hard times which I know she did.. She has always known NJ was a kiodnap child.. She raised him to support her later in life is my opinion of her..

 

Yes this would be a battle to watch Greedy Mom VS Cunning SH.. Wouldn't miss and episode of it for the tea in China..

 

I also think SH would try to blame NJ for SW not showing up at his engagement.. She has to make NJ look bad to the future IN-Laws.. She's going to tell him that him telling Sw about JA dad could have waited afterwards.. She'll hold it against him..

Ep 44 Recap Part-1 (Till 18:00)

 

- NJ finishes his grilling of SU by telling him that JA had said she wanted to show SU to her dad. SU is clearly affected by the harangue from NJ.

 

- YS tells MS that she wanted to have some kelp soup and food from SJ. MS finds the food outside and thinks SJ must have brought it. SJ acts like she made it at first, but then just tells them that YSJ made it.  MS is angry but YS is okay eating it.  SJ leaves after telling her dad to get a grip.  She is on nobody's side. She just wants people to get past what has already happened and stop blaming people for things.  MS gets a call about YSJ turning herself in at the police station.

 

- CS comes to the police station and the cop tells him that YSJ wants to be sent to jail, as she blames herself.  The cop says there is no need but YSJ insists.  She tells the lawyer that she feels so bad and asks "what do I do, sir?".  CS is touched and tells her that she has suffered enough in her mind already, and helps her out of there.

 

- SU goes to his car and finally decides what to do. Calls NSJ and tells her that he cannot get engaged. "I cannot leave that woman behind and get engaged to somebody else". He says he now believes in love, unlike before. He cannot get married when he feels this way.  NSJ sighs, almost like she knew this could happen. He says he cannot be like the guy who left NSJ once. She asks if he isn't going to reconsider, and he says no. He apologizes but says he will still go to a violin recital by her, and he still wants to hear Franck's Sonata.  NSJ seems to know that he is right outside the building where she was getting her makeup done.  She goes to the window and and sees him outside looking up at her before leaving.

 

- SH is about to leave for the engagement in a white formal outfit and gets a little shy seeing Ajussi also in a white tuxedo. He plays the usual fool, and SH doesn't object.  Actually she pretty much likes the fool now, it seems.  They wonder where YSJ is, and Ms. Heo tells then that YSJ isn't joining them and shows her displeasure at Ajussi for talking lightly of YSJ.

 

- SH gets a call from NSJ saying she is at the airport, and that SU had called things off. SH can't believe this. She tries to convince her that it must all be some mistake.  NSJ says she is leaving the country for good. Not coming back. She thanks SH for everything and hangs up on her.  Mr. Jang comes in. SH asks him to call SU. He says he had talked to SU and nothing seemed to be wrong. He had just told Mr. Jang, "to take good care of Mom". He seems to have assumed it to be about escorting her to the engagement, it seems.  He tries to call SU. Can't get through.  And SH has to be held back from collapsing to the floor.

 

- YJ's team mates give her two envelopes to take and give as funeral gifts to JA. YJ wanted them to go with her but they seem to be going to the engagement party. YJ also wants to go to the engagement party but they think she will be too late for the funeral. YJ then tells DS that JA's dad died last night.  DS agrees to go with YJ to the hometown.  SG comes in, and DS asks him to be in charge of the shop.  SG asks for double the pay, and DS agrees.

Thanks @jayakris, Your my one saving grace reading your recaps in the morning sets my day for work until I arrive home in the afternoon to watch subs..

 

Is there no end to SG greed he ask for double pay which will in return turn out to be triple pay because whatever profits comes in that day will go into his pocket.. Which MS will find out that he stole the company profits for the day.. How will greed golddigger respond to this..  His gambling habits knows no end.. Why haven't anyone told him that he can't win at the tables because of his dity deeds.. Do he really believe he can be rewarded at the expense of cunning others.. 

 

I think SG will do something that involves DS business and him not knowing what kind of Father DS has he'll be on the run again.. Maybe he'll kidnap DS for ransom..  The pimp has gotten away with so much he's capable of doing something like this..

Ep 44 Recap Part-2 (From 18:00)

 

- DS is reluctant and embarrassed to go into the funeral hall, and YJ is asking him to be like a man, when NJ and SJ show up.  Now DS is scared too - "Oh mamma!! The female gangster!". SJ is funny here. She asks DS to be sure to plead for forgiveness from JA's late father for what he had done. DS agrees. SJ asks YJ why she isn't at their team-leader's engagement. YJ says she was the team's representative here.  NS/SJ go in, but DS needs a bit more time to "get mentally prepared".

 

- SU seems to be already inside the hall. JA is shocked. SU does the parting greeting to the late dad and says, "I am sorry to come this late. I am ashamed of it. Please do not have worries on JA any longer. I will treasure JA, give her support and protect her well". He bows to the mom also, and JA can't stop crying. He gets her up, and introduces himself to the mom. JA just says that he is the company director. Mom leaves them to talk.  SU tells JA that he isn't getting engaged. JA asks what that means. NJ arrives and interrupts them.

 

- Finally SU has a semi-civil conversation with NJ and tells him that he isn't getting engaged to anybody, if it is not JA. NJ is pleased but asks him why he put everybody through trouble. SU: "You ask like you don't know that this is all because of you?". He says ever since NJ showed up, his life got all messed up.  "Do you even know my feelings, on having to be in a contest with somebody like you that I had never even met, to become HK's successor?". NJ says that if SU had agreed to run HK like their grandfather wanted, none of this would've happened. He could have been back in his hometown without all this confusion.  NJ starts to say, "Even now, if you were to follow Grandpa's wishes..." and SU interrupts to say that his thinking has still not changed. "Grandpa's HK is no longer there". He wants nothing to do with the old fashioned company.  NJ says he will make sure that it won't go the way SU wants.  SU now says that it was on the calculation that he will take hold of the company that he even gave up the engagement (this may be just male bravado, in my opinion. there wasn't much conviction in how he said it). He says he is sure of beating NJ, who in return smiles and says he is also not a guy who loses out when he sets his mind on something. 

 

- SU changes the subject. He would like NJ to leave.  No matter how  much of a friend NJ is to JA, he doesn't like seeing NJ being around "his woman". NJ smiles. "Let's be clear. To JA, I am not her man, but her friend".  SU asks if he is still planning to be around JA.  NJ: "If you are good to her, that will do. Don't make her cry, or make her hurt inside. Then there won't be a need for me to be near her".  SU says there will be nothing of that kind - "so why don't you get going?".  As SU walks away, NJ says from behind, "You... seem to be a better fellow than I thought".  SU doesn't say anything.  (SU is of course happy with the compliment from the half-brother with whom he is beginning to get a bit comfortable, but he has too much ego to let it show on his face).

 

- YJ and DS are shocked to see SU there, and at SU and JA behaving like a couple.

 

- SH is in her room, cursing her luck. "You just had to hang on a bit more. Why? Why did you do this?".  She then remembers Mr. Jang telling her earlier about the passing of JA's dad and about sending YJ as the company representative.  She calls YJ and asks if SU is at the funeral hall, and gets the update on that [THE END]

I'm surprised to see that we are not a love triangle where the second lead is trying to get the lead, with all the usual low shots, and all the scheme, at this rate in this drama despite the small family problems, he will remain only the two teams that will compete until the end
