Zhu Yi Long:  What Others Say  Of Him..

- The Clip below does not have English Subs.  I hesitate to post it here.  But it is too good to be missed. 

- I am sure you all can recognise some of the people in the Clips

 

English Explanations:

1) The First man said Zhu Yi Long is very handsome.

2) His Co-star from "Royal Sister Returns" - Andy An said ZYL is endearing silly and easy to bully (Actually, I dislike this Taiwanese Actress. Because she is Very Rude. Even at the Press Conference for "Royal Sister Returns".  Her Wealthy Husband is in jail now).

3) The Main Wife, Lady Sheng (Actress Liu Lin) from "The Story Of Ming Lan" said: "All her Weibo visitors  kept saying they like ZYL.  Her friends kept asking her to get ZYL's autographs for them.  She said ZYL is a good Boy. Good Acting. Good Character and Low-Keyed.  Very Rare to find this type of Boy. She likes a Quiet, Gentle and Polite Boy like him.  She told ZYL that if she has a daughter, she would want her to marry him".

4) Actress Yang Rong who acted with Zhu Yi Long in "Love For Three Lifetimes". She is 7 years older than ZYL. 5) His Screen Mother (Senior Actress Xu Di) from drama "My True Friend".  She said: "ZYL is an intelligent Actor.  His performance is very good.  He can externalise very well those internal emotions. Emotions where one usually hides inside - the Reserved and Restrained Emotions. The Internal Conflicts. He must have added a lot of his own ideas and qualities.

He can collaborate very well with her.  She likes to "Improvise" while acting. And ZYL can quickly coordinate with her to "Improvise". So she enjoys working with him.

At the Press Conference, she was wearing High-Heels. ZYL held her arms and told her to be careful of the steps. A very well-behaved boy.  He must be a very Filial Son.  She gave him 100 - 150 Marks.

6) From "The Story Of Ming Lan". The wicked Step-Mother of the Male Lead. She said: "ZYL is Very Quiet. We ladies were busy chatting away. But he just sat quietly by himself.  But then his Presence is always there.  Because he is so Good-Looking.  This type of man will make a Good Husband and Son".

8) Veteran Hong Kong Actress Kara Hui said: "ZYL is very Polite and Professional.  At every promotional activity, ZYL is always the first to arrive.  And then he will get himself ready and sit down to wait".

Zhu Yi Long :  His Performance At Phantacity (City Of Magic)

Since the Video Clip above touches on Zhu Yi Long's Stage Performance at Phantacity, allow me to elaborate a bit on that.

 

After he exploded from "Guardian" and "Reunion: The Sound of Providence", Zhu Yi Long understands that besides acting, he also has the obligation to participate in some activities.  So that his Fans can see him.

 

He did not persist on Variety Shows in order to reap the Dividends of Traffic.  Instead he chose a Variety Show which requires Acting Skills.  And that variety show is the "City Of Magic" (Phantacity).

 

Fans are obsessed with his Handsome Face and Micro-Expressions.  So he took the opportunity to paint his Whole Face with Oil-Paint to cover up the Micro-Expression Changes that he is good at.  And played a Clown living at the bottom of society with exaggerated body and body movements.

 

"City Of Fantasy" may be a variety show, but  it is presented in the form of a Musical.  So it has high requirements for the singing level, acting skills and on-the-spot performance of the participants.

 

There is No Time or Opportunity to "correct" your performance as in a drama or movie.

 

Zhu Yi Long's "Ugly" is not 100% perfect.  But there is No Post-Editing.  The coherent stage performance has given many audiences a New Understanding of Zhu Yi Long.

 

His performance was not only rated as one of the two Most Impressive Performances by the celebrated singer Faye Wong, but also occupied the First Place in the Star Short Video of the variety show report.  With almost twice the number of views of the second place.

 

To me, it is a Confirmation of Zhu Yi Long's Acting Skills and Versatility.  No doubt about it!

@shura-emrys  Agree with you.    If one or two persons praise him, it is nothing to shout about.  But if everyone who has worked with him, spoke briefly with him or came into contact with him for a while - all complimented him.  Then it is something Extraordinary.   

 

I commended his Parents for bringing him up so very Well!

 

I notice that Zhu Yi Long is someone who :

- Does not envy others.

- Does not speak ill of others.

- Is not unduly Materialistic.  He said before.  He just want to live a good life and be happy and comfortable.  He does not need to be too Rich.  

 

He is someone who mind his own business.  Live his own life.  Very Unique Person.

I love Zhu YiLong interaction with He Jiong the most, the MC seems to be really genuine with all his praises (love the one at Phantacity the most) and his best wishes for him. And our Zhu YiLong really seems to open up to him, which is a rare occasion indeed. His circle of friends is not big, but the one he chose to be close with seem to be really good friends.

@Siva Wilai  You are so right.  He chooses his Friends.  Even for his "WeChats", he sets a Limit.  Without him unlocking to allow any new friends, nobody can join his "WeChats".

 

At the 35th Golden Rooster Awards Night, Wu Jing (the other Contender) wanted to add him to his WeChat, but Zhu Yi Long did not bring his mobile. Then he wanted to get it from Actress Ni Ni, also failed. 

 

In the Entertainment Industry, one must Socialise or Network in order to become Popular fast.  Zhu Yi Long does not do that.  Even if he went along, he refuses to "Drink".   Luckily he has a Good Reason.  He is Allergic to Alcohol.   Just one cup and he will fall Asleep immediately.

 

Drinking and clubbing together with the others, is the Easiest Way to "Lose" your way.  Go Wayward.  After that comes Women, Drugs, Prostitution, etc.....

 

Zhu Yi Long knows that very well.  So he does not Socialise.  Which is one of the Reasons why he has to take so long to "Explode".  To be Popular.

 

He would rather labour along step by step.  But everything he does is Ethical and Legal.  So I say, He Is A Pilgrim Crawling On The Road Of Art, With Such A Pious attitude.

Because he is such an Innocent and Adorable Person, Ladies love to "Tease Him"!

 

 

English Explanations:

0:00:  Do you know how to tease girls? I heard that you do not know how to tease girls.

ZYL:  No. I am not good at that (Smiles shyly)  So he got teased instead.

 

0.08: This lady reporter always want to tease him by saying the same thing.  This first time she said: "Today I have a Cold.  Do you know why?"

ZYL:  Looking very concerned, he asked her: "You have a Cold today?  Is it because of the Weather?" (so Innocent )

Reporter: Because I have no Immunity against you.

ZYL: Becomes so Shy.  Does not know where to look. Finally he asks: "Is this a movie channel?" 

 

0.29: At the Meet the Audience session for "Cloudy Mountain", this same lady reporter again.

Reporter: Brother Long. Today I have a slight Cold. Do you know why?

Someone from the Audience shouted: "Because you have no Immunity".

ZYL: This sounds very Familiar. Is it because of the weather?

Reporter: "Because I have no Immunity against "Cloudy Mountain".  I have no Immunity against Hong Yi Zhou (ZYL's character in "Cloudy Mountain")

ZYL: He bowed slightly and said "Thank You".

 

0:50 A Lady Audience: "Now you look like a Human Being, you know?"

ZYL: He starts looking around, confused and shy. "Do I not look like a Human Being?"

Lady: "Yes. You look especially like my Sweetheart!"

ZYL: He is so embarassed.  He does not know where to look.

(The Male Host: "If Long Long can Rock Climb now, he will Rock Climb away already".  Poor Boy)

Lady Interviewer: "Do you not feel Tired today? （困 pronounce as "kun". Means "tired"). Especially after filming the entire day?"

ZYL:  Still alright.

Lady Interviewer: "But I am feeling very tired （困  kun- tired） now. 

ZYL:  He looks bewildered

Lady Interviewer:  "Because I am bewitched by you". （困 kun - can also means trapped; have no way out; bewitched)

ZYL: He does not know where to look.  What to do.

 

That is the Beauty of the Chinese Language (Mandarin).  One can play around with the "Word".

I don't know how it's happened, but i just start watching Border Town Prodigal, only have to watch til the end of the first ep to make me hooked! Now I'm at 18 ep!!! i slept only 4hrs a day for 2 days now-_-"

@Siva Wilai  Yes!  His Smile when he is Shy is Super Adorable and Infectious.  You will feel like wanting to give him A Hug. 

 

Strange.  I just gave up "Border Town Prodigal" (also known as Edge City Wanderer). 

 

I gave up at around Ep 36.  Then I skipped to the Final Ep.  Because I find the Plot Ridiculous and Repetitive.  It is built around Zhu Yi Long's Character.  Since the day of the Battle at Plum Blossoms where his "father?" was killed, his Mother brainwashed him to Seek and Wreak Revenge.

 

Everyone is falling-in-love with the Enemy's relations: daughter, disciple, etc...  But as usual, Zhu Yi Long is mesmerising.  He is the reason I find it difficult to give up the series.

 

I shall not tell you more.  Lest it spoils your viewing pleasure.   The problem with Chinese Dramas is that they have so many different Titles for each drama. So sometimes, it is a hassle to search for it in the web.

 

P/S: From where did you order Zhu Yi Long's Calendar?  You only needs 6 More Posts, before we all can "ReAct" to you.  I do not know how to post pix from mobiles or weibo. So I cannot help you.

The plot seems to be repetitive indeed (fortunately, i used to it since i used to watch a handful of wuxia drama in the past). Fortunately, they didn't overly play with the special effect, it's still realistic enough to not turn me of like a lot of wuxia drama nowaday-_-". To tell you the truth, I'm not into the relationship between the ZYL'S character and the second female lead at all, her fake eyelashes really turn me off >"<. But i really love the famale lead so i will keep watching to the end!

 

I ordered the calendar from online platform in Thailand called "shopee", which also have retailer in China.

 

The new pic is really cool, his hair seem to grow quite a bit longer now. I love him with long hair>~<!!

@shura-emrys  Very true. In one of his interviews.  About the Press Conference for his drama "Royal Sister Returns".  He was asked if he felt any Anger or Hurt when others treat him - so carelessly and rudely. 

 

He answered "Yes.  But people cannot see my Anger.  I keep it inside".  That is why I said I don't like that Actress.  The way she talks and behaves is very Tactless and Arrogant.  She does not consider other people's feelings at all.  You all have seen it.  She said it publicly.  "He is easy to Bully". There are a lot of such people in this World.

 

But what can he do?   What can we do?

 

Society is like that.  A lot of people are like that - Tactless and Arrogant.   A Shy,  Non-Assertive and Non-Spontaneous person will lose out.  Because we have to think things through before we can React or Respond.  

 

After some time words will spread.  And eventually people will "Brand" you as  Shy, Timid, Introvert, Funny,  Psycho...... etc.

 

But in this Case, those Ladies tease him because they find him Cute and Adorable. It is Harmless.  He may feel Helpless at times.  But I believe there should no serious or negative repercussions on him.

 

Honestly, every time I watch this Clip, I have A Good Laugh. 

 

 

As @Siva Wilai has said, there is a lot to learn about Zhu Yi Long.  I shall make Posts as we go along.  Together, we shall get to know him better.

 

BTW I forgot to mention.  Zhu Yi Long plays Golf too.

Zhu Yi Long: The "Tear Man"

 "Tear Man".   The name  "Tear Man" refers to a handsome man who comes out of a manga.  A man who is as handsome as the protagonist of the manga. 

 

It is used to describe men who are very handsome. The picture below shows you how Zhu Yi Long looks like when he puts on his "caricature face" of the "Guardian".

 

 

Zhu Yi Long's appearance is believed to be obvious to all. With "Guardian", he became popular.

 

Zhu Yi Long's appearance is very gentle, modest and gentlemanly. There are also many beautiful photos of Zhu Yi Long in ancient costumes, which makes many girls feel ashamed. 

 

The "Tear Man" of Zhu Yi Long in this comic is outrageously beautiful.  But fans still feel that he is not as good-looking as the live-action version. After all, Zhu Yi Long's affectionate eyes and tears are more vivid.

 

What do you all think?  I would like to know all your Opinions.  Who is more Beautiful? The "Tear Man" ?   Or  Zhu Yi Long ?
