"The Last Empress" Jang Nara and Shin Sung-rok Ready to Tackle Modern Day Monarchy

 

The cast of "The Last Empress" expect a 20% viewing percentage.

The premiere of the SBS drama "The Last Empress" was held in Mokdong, Seoul on the 20th with Jang Nara, Choi Jin-hyuk, Shin Sung-rok, Lee Elijah, Yoon Da-hoon, Lee Hee-jin, Yoon So-yi, and Stephanie Lee.

 

Shin Sung-rok's most recent drama "Return" recorded a shocking 17.4% which is the highest result by an SBS drama this year. Therefore, he anticipates to have that effect on "The Last Empress" and go over 20%.

 

Jang Nara said, "If the percentage goes over 25%, I will arrange a tour to the Buyeo in Chung-nam where we filmed the drama with the viewers and the staff who helped to make the drama".

 

Regarding the issue that "The Last Empress" is directed byJoo Dong-min who was involved with the issues surrounding "Return" by replacing the leading actress, Shin Sung-rok said, "This will be his signature drama and he communicates with everyone on set".

"The Last Empress" begins on the 21st of November.

Well... Just watched raw eps tonight.! So the series begins with the mummy & the necklace. And Lee Hyuk & Oh Sunny knows each other.. Lee Hyuk & Min Yu Ra are just.. adults WOW!! This series has so many layers.. From Palaces, night clubs to restaurants!!! I am more impressed with the palace It's so beautiful!

Well when I read before about NWS and his extreme diet regime, I didn’t know PD was thinking about a different actor for him.  hahha     It’s hilarious.  NWS is Tae Hang Ho => CJH.  It sounds like someone’s  Cinderella fantasy.  Or TLE could promote/or try to sell NSW’s secret diet formula ( lot of plastic surgeries)

Well, I wouldn't be so categorical. There is no precise answer to the question who the real culprit is.  For all I see The Emperor and the secretary both did it. They are partners in crime. And no one of them is less guilty than the other in  Wang Sik' mother's death.

haha it’s Chun Woo Bin dude.  Yes it's NWS's new name.   Oh Hello is Sunny’s sis.      Yeah there are some more characters which I haven’t finished yet.  Lee Yun is LH’s younger bro and will have a love line with Hello, Sunny’s sis.  It looks like in EP1 Sunny meets NWS(Tae Hang Ho) but she doesn’t see his face.

@booha, it’s not until I watched the episodes that I realize what you meant about the actor change.  Wow. Wang Shik will drastically change then. I can’t wait to see CJH though.

 

Wang Shik saved Sunny’s life and Sunny saved the emperor’s life. Sunny has Wang Shik’s necklace that hold a picture of his family including a child. So then, I’m guessing that Wang Shik and Yoo Ra has a son. 

 

The royal family sure having no problem killing people to suit their purposes. Both royal mother and son seem to have no problem doing this. Yoo Ra literally has blood on her hands too. I’d say she attempted to kill Wang Shik’s mom and Emperor Lee Hyuk hit Wang Shik’s mom by accident. The mom staggered into the road. I suppose if he leaves her there to die then his culpability changes.

 

I personally dread Sunny getting involved with these people. From what I have seen so far, living in that palace in deadly. Sunny is so, well, sunny that I don’t know how she would survive in a place like that.

@chubby^green^, I think once the episodes are officially released with English subs it’s okay to comment without spoiler tags. The amusing thing is that Kocowa releases subs before Viki and probably Viu before Viki as well. Still, when members do live caps in a thread they don’t use spoiler tags.

 

Thanks for bringing up the corpse. Since the discovery occurred in the first few minutes of the episode I completely forgot about that. The corpse better not be Sunny. The necklace was given to her though by Emperor Lee Hyuk so it’s her necklace.
