I don't know how this will end but here's my version of the ending:

 

Sunny and WS worked together to get revenge and fall in love while doing so. After the imperial family's true nature is revealed to the people, they lose everything. LH, YR, ED and the Nanny all go to prison for their crimes. Sunny adopts Ari and WS reunites with DS. Sunny and WS end up together. Sunny, WS, Ari and DS and all together as a happy family.

ED and Nanny having another fight. Both are trying to defend themselves by accusing who is the one responsible for the death of so and so. ED called out for Choi, she went into a room, but Choi was on the floor tied up and gagged, and a roomful of reporters snapping pictures. Sunny came in, and ordered the arrest of SKH and ED. They were finally tied up and dragged away by the police. ED was screaming her innocence and royal status all the way out. Sojin was there, and she told off ED. When the crowd finally gone, she cried and fell to the ground. Sunny walked up to her and knelt beside her hugging her to comfort her.

 

Sunny walked into LH's office, flashback to all her happy moments with LH, and then the painful moments as well, back to happy moments. She cried, as in preview.

 

News coverage with ED, Choi, SKH being escorted to police bus. Hahahhaa, that childish ED still making her protests. She kicked something out, and stuck out her tongue at the reporters. News still covering, about ED's milk bath, spa treatment etc.

Choi, ED and Nanny are at court for their trial. Their sentence was announced. And ED is still her crazy self and shouting left and right.

 

Kanghee says to Sunny she wants to meet Ari. 

 

Ari visits Kanghee. But Ari is scared. And had to be brought out from the visiting place.

 

Nanny is saying stuff to Sunny. Nanny looks more humane behind bars. She pleads something to Sunny and bows her head. Huhu.

Sunny holding press conference, accompanied by the new PM. She bowed to apologize for the Imperial family, also clarified that the death of GED was suicide and she revealed the reason behind it while showing the letter. Reporters asked questions and Sunny explained calmly.

 

At the trial, childish ED still protesting loudly and throwing stuff in the courtroom. The three of them Choi ED and SKH are tried together. Choi tried to calm her down. She is still so noisy about it. The judge read the verdict, but I didn't catch it. They all got different sentence. ED still so loud, lol..... saying don't you know who I am?? As they were being taken out, SKH saw Sunny and pleaded to her to let her see Ari one more time please, please.....

 

Sunny took Ari to visit SKH in the prison. SKH was happy, but Ari got scared and asked Sunny who is this person. stream skipped. next was SKH asking Sunny why Ari couldn't recognize her. Sunny explained something about the news. Anyhow, SKH said never mind if she can't remember her. It's probably better that way. She asked Sunny to please take care of Ari, she looked sad and remorseful (finally) and bowed to Sunny as she went inside.

We jump 1 year? I think it 1 year.

 

Sunny now has short hair. They are at papa Sunny chicken shop. 

 

Min Yura is alive. She is alive but not sane it seems. Pyo must hit her so hard. Huhu

 

ED at prison. She seems a bit loony. Is she crazy now? Hua3. Yep. She's cray! And she looks super scary.

 

Yoon and Helro are still together.

 

The palace is now a museum~ Ari, Yoon and Helro visits together.

 

Omg. They show some memories of the palace. First Hyuk and his coffee. 2nd Sunny smiling in her hanbok. 3rd nanny saying her greetings to Ari.

 

Sunny arrives. And the camera zooms at her, as it pans out it changes to Sunny in her wedding picture.

 

She really was the last empress.

One year time jump.

Sunny walked into the chicken shop. She has short hair now. She looked for Ari. stream skipped. Then Ari is shown, and she is singing. I think being a musical actor like Sunny?

 

Byun having barbecue with MYR??? She is not dead, but now like a small kid, due to head injury. She argued with Byun about what she is making is for DS. KJS is also there. DS came back, and MYR happily embraced him. They were all happy.

 

In the prison. A group of prisoners doing some gardening. ED was among them, all old, LOLOL... grey hair, wrinkles, dark teeth. LOLOLOLOLOL, this is the best!!!... She was still thinking about the palace and imperial family. Choi told her don't you follow the news, the Imperial family is no more.

 

Yoon and Hello bringing Ari to the Palace, which is now a museum for visitor to visit. Ari has no recollection about it. The tour guide was introducing each of the room to the visitors. And we see the imaginary ED, LH, and Sunny each in their respective room.

When they walked out, Yoon bent down to tie Hello shoelaces, Ari heard SKH's voice calling to her. She saw her (imaginary), SKH was saying are you happy now? If so, that's good. It seems that she didn't really lose her memory but pretending. Sunny came to pick them up, and they left together. Before Sunny left, she turned and have a last look at the palace with a smile.

 

Last scene had the wording of the Imperial reign from 1897-2019

Lee Hyuk continue Na Wang Shik act to be heroes secretly. He even jump to the fire just like his promise to Sunny.

I love it during the palace tour, that each Yoon, Hello, Ari remember the different key character in their respective room. Yoon saw his mother, Ari saw her father, Hello saw her sister. I thought that was very well done.

He died due to the explosion in the room in last night episode. He sort of sacrificed himself to block another explosion from injuring Sunny and Hyuk. His burnt body is shown tonight.

Ost 6 is apt for Hyuk's end. It was bugging me before. I thought the song and the lyrics does not suit him. But after what transpired in ep 51, the song is for him~ huhuhuhu

My stream was bad during this scene. So i only got to see Hyuk, and jumped to Sunny and suddenly Nanny. But reading your explanation, it is indeed very well done. 

 

I am satisfied with this finale. A good end to my fun TLE cray2 train ride.

Dongshik is happy with his family~ KJS and YR and also Byun. But Yura is now like his sister. She suffered a head injury while protecting sunny.

I realize about something

 

Chun Woo Bin (Na Wang Shik) ever said if he actually gives his body and soul to Lee Hyuk. In the end he save Lee Hyuk, just like what his word to Lee Hyuk in the past. 

 

 

Lee Hyuk must be shock find someone who's he tried to kill protect him, not only Na Wang Shik but also Sunny, maybe he'll never met or get somebody like both Sunny or Woo Bin in his side. So he secretly act like Na Wang Shik. 

Poorly, he act alone, no one can protect him with back up plan... And maybe he also know if he run for his end, to repay what his all wrong doing.

sigh, guess that is the only silver lining... ugh, was mostly watching this drama for wang shik's journey and so feel a bit cheated. oh well, on to another drama. hope I can find something to catch my interest...
