SYNOPSIS

t depicts the story of what happens in Arth approximately a decade later. Over the course of more than eight years, Arthdal succeeded in suppressing the massive rebellion of the tribes slaughtered by Ta Gon in Season 1, and the Agos finally achieved the reunification of 30 clans after 200 years under the leadership of Eun Seom. In Season 2, Ta Gon’s Kingdom of Arthdal and Eun Seom’s Ago Union are set to face an inevitable great war. Eun Seom is the ruler of the East now. Tan Ya is the successor to the Wahan clan. The story set eight years after Ta Gon has become king.

Eun Som is a cursed child born in Blue Stone Village under an ominous sign. He later becomes the conqueror of Asadal, capital of Gojoseon, taking it from city-state to empire. Ta Gon is a war hero among the Saenyeok Tribe and master of strategy. He is ambitious and aims to become the first King of Asadal. Tan Ya is a woman born under a cursed sign who overcomes adversity to become the first female politician of Asadal. She is Eun Som's first love. Tae Ha is the last surviving Neoantal, a race different from humans, as well as the first Empress of Asadal.

I don't know whether it will be Korea's Game of Thrones or not but I'm sure as hell that it's going to be at least a cut above then Game of Thrones.

 

I don't understand why but everyone here is only focusing the cast. Damn just look at the staff! In the Director's Chair we have Kim Won Suk, A.K.A. God among Directors and the writers are Korea's finest. They did wonders in Sageuk's like Six Flying Dragons, Deep Rooted Tree, Queen Seon Duk and Jewel in the Palace.

Director and writer combo in this drama is just unworldly. As it were Bach, Beethoven and Mozart join hands to compose the ultimate piece.

Yeah i definitely agree, the staff is insanely good and then we have an insane cast aswell? I can confidently say that this might become the best kdrama and will become something that gets a massive international following as well.

Song Joong Ki, Kim Ji Won, And Jang Dong Gun Confirmed For New tvN Drama

 

 

tvN drama “Asadal” (working title) has confirmed its leading actors!

 

It was revealed earlier in the year that Song Joong Ki, Kim Ji Won, and Jang Dong Gun are in talks to star in the drama.

 

On July 26, it was announced that their casting is officially confirmed.

 

“Asadal” is a fantasy period drama about conflict, harmony, and love that take place in a fictional land. It will be written by Kim Young Hyun and Park Sang Yeon, who have worked on popular historical dramas including “The Great Queen Seon Deok,” “Tree with Deep Roots,” and “Six Flying Dragons,” while the PD (producing director) Kim Won Suk has led “Incomplete Life,” “Signal,” and “My Ahjussi.”

 

Jang Dong Gun plays Ta Gon, a war hero that leads the city to victory. Song Joong Ki is Eun Sum, who was born with the energy of a blue star that brings disaster, while Kim Ji Won will play Tan Ya, who was also born with the destiny of the same star.

 

“Asadal” is set to premiere on tvN in early 2019.
