I am not familiar with the writer and can’t make comments about this, but a successful drama depends on a great script, I believe. I was hoping for a comeback drama from Kyo as I missed her onscreen a lot and Honestly this pairing was not what  I was expecting and never imagined,  the age gap is not a joke, but I trust Kyo and Bogum, they are professional actors and it’s their job to make us to believe in this pairing and i think the script must be really interesting for them to decide in this project and really hope for the best to come.

 

i guess the filming should start very soon.

Oh my...the drama has not even filming yet....but this thread is already here....thank you for the one who created this. Anything about kyo will make me interested...I am a BIG and loyal fan to her. Hopefully this drama will be great and successful...despite of all the fuss about their age gap and Park Bo Gum being a close friend to her husband, Joong Ki..

Same goes to bogum, i remember for Moonlight he spent a lot of time studying Crown prince character, the way they speak (chosun royal) or their history. i think he took time before accept any works. i read his interview recently that the factor for him for casting is that he wish for the character that's fit his own age. so i guess this one is also right. There's no detail much about Kimjinhyuk apart he's poor part-timer lol but i believe and trust that it's not simple character but a heart-warming person who can touch viewers heart, the role that bogum wanted.

 

ok back to writer issue. even her past works are flop or seems forgettable. i seriously wish this work will change 360degree of people's perception and will be great that dont have to rely on stars power of the casting. i hope for the best for Both SHK and PBG comeback after 2 years.

That drama though with low rating was her work with the best chemistry ever. 

At a point(I didn't know much about them then), l have to google the two up cos what i was seeing was affection beyond acting. I wasnt surprised  bit they shared something in common.

 

One good aspect of her is she knows how to make her o actors fall for her effortlessly. 

Just wanted her to try other genre.its time. She shouldn't be stuck in one place only.

Following a break of about two years, newlywed couple Song Hye-kyo and Song Joong-ki will each star in their own TV dramas, in their respective returns to the small screen.

Song Hye-kyo is also to star in a tvN series, tentatively titled “Boyfriend.” She will play the daughter of an influential politician who marries into a wealthy family. She is cold and ignorant, but is to change, meeting the male lead character. 

 

Her partner will be national heartthrob Park Bo-gum. The casting, confirmed earlier this month, grabbed the public’s attention as Park is known to be close to Song Joong-ki, as they had starred together in an ad campaign. 

 

Though shooting for “Asadal Chronicles” and “Boyfriend” both is to start soon, “Asadal Chronicles” is set to air next year, as the production involves a great deal of computer graphics post-production. “Boyfriend” will air later this year.

Yup, despite low ratings, the drama itself showed a realistic story and the actors have good chemistry

 

I think she has tried various roles. She once acted as a doctor, visually impaired, director, writer, casino dealer, nun, office employee, sufferer of chronic disease, school teenage, ghost, actress, mother with sick child, documentary filmmaker, mysterious woman (shaman), historical figure, and upcoming role as widowed with a child..

 

For genre, she has tried romance comedy, melodrama, historical period, horror, mystery-thriller (indie film). Yup, hopefully next project we can see her in genre such as law, crime, war, action, suspense, film noir, dark comedy, adventure, mystery-thriller with long duration, etc.

 

if I'm not mistaken, shk once said she likes realistic and humanistic stories more than fantasy stories

Song Hye Kyo and Park Bo Gum’s upcoming drama will premiere on tvN this fall!

 

On July 30, the producers of the new drama “Boyfriend” (literal title), which will star Song Hye Kyo and Park Bo Gum as star-crossed lovers, announced that the drama’s broadcast network and programming schedule had officially been determined.

 

A source inside the drama’s production company stated, “‘Boyfriend’ has been confirmed to air on tvN as a Wednesday-Thursday drama. It is scheduled to premiere this November.”

 

“Boyfriend” will tell the love story of Cha Soo Hyun (played by Song Hye Kyo), the unhappy daughter of a prominent politician and ex-wife of the heir to a wealthy conglomerate, and Kim Jin Hyuk (played by Park Bo Gum), an ordinary, innocent young man who knows how to find happiness in the small things. An incidental meeting between the two, who seemingly have nothing in common, ends up leading to a heart-wrenching romance that wreaks havoc on both of their lives.

 

According to the drama’s producers, “Boyfriend” will begin filming as soon as the full cast is finalized.

Premiere of new series 'Boyfriend' confirmed for tvN in November

SEOUL, July 30 (Yonhap) -- The new television series starring Song Hye-kyo and Park Bo-gum is set to go on air on tvN in November, the series' production company said Monday. 

The drama is scheduled for the 9:30 p.m Wednesday-Thursday slot on the cable channel. 

The sad romance series revolves around a daughter of a high-powered politician married to a man from a chaebol family, played by the 36-year-old Song, and an ordinary young man, played by the 25-year-old Park. 

It is Song's first TV show role since the 2016 hit "Descendants of the Sun." She married her co-star from the series, Song Joong-ki, in 2017. It is Park's first drama since "Love in the Moonlight" in 2016. 

The drama is produced by Bon Factory, which has made such hit series as "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim," "She Was Pretty" and "Master's Sun."
