wah...this drama is really tackling the issue of a divorced woman. Given that SHG's mom is a divorced herself, I can understand why she's taking this role. 

I wonder why almost in all k-drama, the mommy is so strong headed regarding the marriage of their kid...is it really like that in Korea?

I'm a mommy also and I think marriage is very important. However, I think JH's mom has crossed the line. She should have talked to JH first before talking to CSH....

This is pretty stupid  idea since she is just going to create many more issues for herself.

Thanks for translating!  I wonder what SooHyun's dad will make of this because this would kind of make his whole "my party is splitting from TaeKyung" plan a little more difficult to actually follow through on...

I really really hope that the preview is misleading. CSH might ask for the break-up but this doesn't mean that JH will accept it. I also hope, he discovers what his mother did!!

I feel like I should wait for the next episode before watching the episode 13.

This ALMOST made me smile. 

 

I havd 10000000% faith in JH and how he will resolve this with his mom but the problem is SH, she is like this injured animal - she can never forget the trauma and abuse of her past so when JH’s mom tells her in so man words that she doesn’t accept SH into her family it brings SH face to face with her worst fear, rejection.

 

She has been always been rejected be it by her family, her friends and her husband’s family.  

 

Poor SH, my heart breaks for her.

 

@dramaninja that is the only way she can get JH to give up on her, being with her in her eyes means that he will continue to suffer. She thinks her betrayal will hurt him enough to get over her. She is ready to take on the problems for JH’s sake. It’s not smart, it’s love.

SH is progressing but when you're thrown with such a heavy baggage ie. if she tells JH about her conversation with his mum, she might risk destroying mother-son relationship and it's too heavy a burden for her. It merely means that she needs JH to be there with her to stick it out through thick and thin so I hope Sec Jang will tell JH or even Driver Nam, seeing how close SH is to him.

 

I'm against his mother's way of approaching her son's girlfriend directly. She was given a chance to clarify all doubts with JH who wanted to talk to her but she's the one who dismissed it then she sneakily went behind her son to shoot bullets at his woman. How low she stooped! You don't cause animosity this way because if your son finds out....she's going to get it and I agree with @bebebisous33 that the real test comes when JH stands up to his mum and protect SH. Oh God,  hasn't this poor girl suffered enough at the hands of her MIL and mum? Now she has to face another mum's pleading to split with her son...and she had to face her mum's pleading to turn up for the death anniversary of President Jung.....

 

If I were her, I'm not sure that I can withstand all the pressure. I think she might just let JH think that she's getting back with JWS.

When KJH had to meet both CSH's mom and CSH's ex-mother-in-law, the writer nim might give a fair chance for CSH to meet with KJH's mom too. 

 

The writer might pro the fathers in this Encounter, as we can watch sharp thought CSH's dad and Straight&Sincere KJH's dad, in addition to male characters as Mr.Nam who has broad mind to KJH&CSH's relationship.

 

Frankly speaking, KJH's mom is a mom who dearly love his son esp. KJH,

- a woman's specification as CSH, any normal mom in Korean or some Asian countries might feel no-no.

- KJH and CSH have never let KJH's mom watch KJH&CSH enough to consider whether KJH's mom can make her mind.

- KJH&CSH's relationship bursted in front of KJH's mom's eyes with negative signs eg. CSH's tons of rumors/news, CSH&KJH's spot on news, KJH"s relocation to Sokcho, KJH&CSH's couple rings. 

- We can have sympathy for KJH's mom's feeling. 

 

 

Writer nim is very reasonable to write the story and script about KJH's mom as today, it is seamless to the reality of the society, audiences can not blame Writer nim for this BUT could we hope for the light at the end of the tunnel?

 

I appreciate KJH&CSH's doing the best for their love no matter what, the process of love the best is still the most important wheneven I watch Encounter.
