That is how they are called as Hallyu Stars.. They are the Cream of the Crops. That is why we can see it naturally. Like you how I really love this couple. Sorry Joongki. This will pass... Lol.

Hallyu stars might be named for their high fame/stardom but the Hallyu stars who are real actors/actresses will act with utmost to portray and create the roles to exist in the audiences' drama world and forget their own identity and status.

 

Park Bo Gum and Song Hye Kyo have worked the best as a professional to bring Kim Jin Hyuk and Cha Soo Hyun to the screens we all have watched, worth to be highly appreciated.

 

PD Nim who interviewed that audiences will forget their real identity but their chemistry will be memorized, he spoke from his own eyes after watching Park Bo Gum's and Song Hye Kyo's acting...as we have just watched.

JWS is the epitome of TOO LITTLE TOO LATE! Yes, JH is like the wind, free and airy and allows CSH the freedom to discover the woman she wants to be and the love that she wants to have. However, the wind is also incredibly powerful. Mixed with other elements, it can create quite the storm. I feel like this was JWS's moment of truly underestimating JH and overestimating himself. 

 

He was so dismissive in this scene. So out of touch. He just ran his mouth and then slid those rings across the table telling CSH that it was romantic as if she was supposed to nod and acquiesce to what he wanted. NO it isn't romantic. Like she had to remind him, for all of his late confessions and attempts to rekindle something, their divorce wasn't just because he asked for it. It wasn't just because he lied about cheating. They divorced because he had already left her. He left her to be ridiculed and constantly abused by his mother and her colleagues and he never once stood up for her or protected her. Who would go back to that? Then, realizing how right CSH was, he got desperate. We could go live in another country he suggested. I'll handle everything here, as if mommy dearest would actually allow that. This may have been the first moment I felt sorry for JWS. He is absolutely delusional and living in a bubble because he sincerely believes that he can convince CSH to go back to that suffocating and stifling lifestyle he offered. Nothing has changed. He still lives at home. His mother still runs his life. He is still intertwined with Taeyeoung in a way that will never allow him to be his own man and live his own life.

 

He thinks because he is rich and a chaebol that it is unthinkable that his ex-wife would fall for a poor son of a fruit vendor. He just doesn't understand love and how it works. Nor does he understand what CSH needs. Poor or not, JH has protected her and shown her more love than he ever did. But, this is what I don't want to happen. I don't want his mommy to find some way to take the hotel away from her, fire JH and then try to use that as leverage to keep them apart. In other words, that whole, if my son can't have you then no one can trope. Regardless of the relationship, JH is a great worker and an asset to the hotel. He has already made a name for himself in Sokcho, which is why the gossip died down so quickly there. CSH is also an asset. That director who is gunning for her spot doesn't have a clue how to run a hotel and I imagine it wouldn't be long before their profits would reflect that. 

 

A poignant moment in the episode is when JWS's mom told him to find someone else because CSH and JH being found out publicly was too much of a scandal on their family name. Madam, you started this mess! You paid the press to sully CSH's name and now that it isn't working out the way that you hoped, you want to break ties.  Great analogy re: the wind chingu!

You are right: it is too little and too late. JWS just uses his money and doesn't put any effort at all. Even the flowers he sent in the episode 10 illustrate one more time his lack of engagement/commitment. Moreover, there is nothing personal about the choice of the gifts: jewelry, dress, flowers... JH's choice of gifts are very special: the shoes because he wants her to feel comfortable, the Christmas ball as souvenir for their first date as some-relationship, his camera, when he is about to leave. All his presents mark a certain event. For JWS, they have no real meaning.

But let us go back to the scene, where he meets her at the restaurant. JWS is the one telling her how to interpret his gesture with the rings: it is romantic. No one would ever see that gesture as romantic, rather sentimental or delusional. He doesn't even realize what his gesture means. By showing the rings, he is actually reminding her of a terrible time, their marriage. JWS asked for the divorce because he knew that it was a nightmare for her. To sum up, JWS hasn't put any deep thought about the meaning of his gesture. He just associates rings to marriage and romance and forgets what their rings actually mean.

Then we shouldn't forget that he did the same thing with his ex-girlfriend Soo Ah. He offered her earrings for the break up. Even SA told him that she couldn't accept the earrings as these would remind her of the break up and of JWS. By doing this, she was implying that this would hurt her. Nonetheless, he didn't listen to her words because with CSH, he came back with the rings.

 

I had noticed that at the end of the episode 8, that at the ball different couples were shown together: KJH-CSH; driver Nam with KSJ; DC with JMJ and HI with KMH, PArk with the other female assistant from the PR team... the only one alone was JWS. That's when this came to my mind. JWS's ending should be how he is able to cut ties with his mother. As long as he is not able to leave his mother's side, he can not find another woman. He needs to put an end to her authoritarian behavior and stop her with her intrigues. I guess, the lawsuit and the hotel will be the reasons where JWS steps up and ruins his mother's plan. So far, he is still acting behind her back. There is some little improvement: he is now disregarding his mother's order. He still keeps trying to woo CSH back despite her remark that she will never allow CSH to become her daughter-in-law for the second time. But now, he is even looking into the matter with director Choi. He is keeping an eye on him and Choi is a minion of his mother.

When the old Cuban gentleman asked KJH if he loved CSH and KJH wouldn’t give him a straight answer, he said he missed her a lot. I think the reason why he wouldn’t say so isn’t because he wasn’t sure about his feelings.

 

It’s just that KJH is that much of a romantic that he wouldn’t feel right telling someone else that he is in love with CSH before he can confess to CSh outloud that he is in love with her. Two episodes ago he told her that she was the reason behind him understanding the true meaning of love but he didn’t say he was in love with her.

 

KJH, you are such a fluffy marshmallow. 

 

Interested in everyone else’s opinion about why KJH wouldn’t say he was in love with CSH to ole Samuel.

@shyguitar I totally agree.  Those were all amazing kisses and if I were KJH, there is no way I would have lasted a month without more of those kisses.  When my wife and I started dating, we were kissing so much we were going through like a tube of chapstick every other day.

I interpreted JinHyuk's response like this:

1) JinHyuk has his own way of phrasing things.  If he can say what needs to be said and choose words that give color and life to his statements, that's what he'll do.  At heart, JinHyuk seems to be an artist and words and photography are his mediums.

2) My thoughts are kind of similar to your second point about JinHyuk being a romantic.  However, I think he also knows that SooHyun is detail-oriented and straightforward.  So even though he'd already told her once that he knows now what love is, he realized (decided?) that he should do it again, so that she can have no doubt.

3) He hasn't even told his parents that he's in love with someone yet.  If he hasn't told them, he probably feels a bit nervous about telling Samuel.

I like one part of KJH&CSH’s conversation.

 

CSH: Were you upset when I said we should take some time away from each other?

 

KJH: That didn’t upset me but something else did.

KJH: We promised to overcome it with our good memories but you were worried that I wouldn’t be able to persist. That made me upset.

The camera doesn't zoom out for a drone shot!! her arms go round his back! It's becoming more passionate! He's leaning in! They pause to stare at one another! And it went on and on and on...OMG!! Then the shot changes to overlook the bright hotel lights and I spy something at the corner of the screen!! OMO OMONA OMG!! She better be feeling nauseous in two months!!

 

That kiss on the balcony is what I need to start the new year!! My soul is currently over the Atlantic, headed for Cuba because this is the year of Namja Chingu, my chingus!! They can barely stand straight, they're leaning against one another to adjust for stability, they're stumbling around...That scene sent me over the edge! I can't!!! I love it!!

Also, whoever did KJH's wardrobe in this episode was determined to destroy me!! He looked absolutely exquisite in the black trouser, white shirt, grey sweater, black shoes.... His entire get up can cost 30,000 won for all I care, but men who dress like that , simple but elegant, they drive me slightly crazy!! Those visuals were meant for me!!

 

I won't even bother watching any other drama tonight!! I'll just replay the last ten minutes!!

 

Someone mentioned earlier today, around 20 pages ago, that KJH needs to step up and be the one to protect CSH otherwise he risks being seen as dependent on CSH. His going to Cuba and convincing the owner is his way of stepping up. It's very much in line with his character to take a long trip to see the important person, use words and letters as his tools to convince the hotel owner, just like JWS would use his power and machinations to solve CSH's problems from the shadows.

 

EDIT: KJH should leave another note at the café, asking CSH to marry him. Then they can come back to Cuba and we can have Cuban passion and a proposal!!
