LOL...The MC just said to congratulate each other as their character...perhaps with words...the hug and such a warm intimate OTP hug was not expected. SYJ was waaaay too nervous & giddy, unlike herself.  The way JHI looked at her...so composed like, no problem, it's how we always are. LOL!

Their distancing and indifference when standing separate on stage like they hardly see each other only brought more attention to them...heck, they are sitting right next to each other so why all the awkwardness on stage? We even know they are in touch via ig and were hanging out after her latest premiere.  Our silly and adorable OTP.

If only the hug was as tight as those in the drama, but I guess they can’t do that on stage 

 

I also think SYJ lost it last night...her usual calm composure / her well-honed wittiness in answering difficult questions. She was really not prepared for all those questions! I rarely see her being so shy...she was like a shy little girl last night! 

JHI on the other hand was just going with the flow of the questions. It’s so strange that he gets super nervous when walking the red carpet that his face looks so intense and yet in moments like this, he is considered fairly calm and just went with the flow.

My thoughts on JHI is similar to what someone posted before. Probably the red carpet...he might want to walk down together with her. In theory, it's not awkward or strange since they acted in same drama and were nominated for the roles in it. He looked so "emotionless" until abit later when fans kept calling his name, he smiled abit more.

 

Later inside, i can observe mini facial expression that he's nervous....some close-up shots. But he hid it under a serious face. I think it's his style. He also acted abit nervous or can't contain some giggle when the host kept prompting them to say things....just that not as obvious as SYJ.

 

Sorry i prefer to focus on sweet romantic moments rather than compare too much of their level of emotions.

I just hope that if the two of them really love each other, they will not allow such comments to be an obstacle in their relationship. Whether you are a A lister or not does not matter when it comes to love; if it does then it can’t be true love. 

 

But I think such comments can’t be avoided in this world. Maybe that could be why JHI is working so hard these days....so that he can prove all such comments wrong, even though we all know from last night that SYJ is already very proud of him

After her acceptance speech for the Award, you can see her slip a look at the MC's cue cards. However, he improvised some questions haha! She can be very confident when she's being mischievous to others, but when the tables are turned...!!

JHI lingered after the hug. She immediately returned to her position, but he wanted more hehe.

 

And I would disagree slightly about her calm composure....when she's around him. With So Ji Sub, she was the little sister; with HB, she was his chingu. But, she's always been the shy girl with JHI. The Vlive was full of little sheepish glances and shy laughs and the Baeksang hand holding caught her by surprise.

 

He looks like a groom watching his bride walk down the aisle  So different from the super serious look at the red carpet. In other red carpets, he wasn't as sullen as this one - must be he wanted to escort SYJ...On second thought, we have rarely seen him smile like this publicly since the show ended too!

 

Thank you Seohyun!!! It kinda looks like SYJ is apologizing, it also looks like she's scolding but JHI seems to be thanking her haha.

I've seen a lot worse when it comes to these two. I accidentally checked out netizen blog when the Vogue spread first came out and everybody was excited to see SYJ and HB together. I had to get my sister (who actually follows KDrama and KPop) to explain to me all the words they were using to describe JHI. They were very hurtful statements. If it's love, it's love.

About the hug, totally agree with @Cotton Candy @Oww TooCute @cybertron that it was too tight for being a costars' congratulation hug and JHI- SYJ were so so deep in the mood. They could have not acted like this if there was no real emotion. I cant get over that scene, to be honest .  Another thing need to be noticed, SYJ became so shy and embarrassed when she was with him, while JHI became more confident when he was with her. They are absolutely each other's better half 

And seems that she was looking for him while kept talking to others in the front row

How did you see that?  I couldn't see coz the clip went by so quickly and with instagram clips, you can't play it back and forth.....all I saw was after they stepped away from the hug, he was looking at her for a while and I think I saw he had a cute smirk on his face.

He was slower to let go for sure and kind of lingered there. On second thought or third because I'm obsessed with them like @cybertron, it's rare for SYJ to seriously pick somebody when she's given a choice (i.e. who's your fav leading man? Jung Woo Sung, Jo In Sung, or So Ji Sub - "I can't pick any of them!"). And then when she had to give a reason as to why JHI, I recall an interview from Be With You where she stated that she wanted to be revered by her husband and child like her character was. Carla Bruni becomes famous in SK and the reason for her show is that drama so I quite sure some of the production team will be there, at least the ones who chose that song (etc,PDnim, writer-nim, music manager...), some casts and staffs might come as well AND SYJ-JHI probably join "the gang". This drama and that song is so so so important and meaningful to both of them
