Plot

Goo Dae Young (Yoon Doo Joon), is a food-lover who has fallen into a slump in his 30s. In order to heal his wounds, he embarks on a journey to revisit the food that he loved in his 20s with former college classmate Lee Ji Woo (Baek Jin Hee).

Let`s Eat 3 will take on ambitious strategies to bring back the appetite that was lost due to the hot weather. The viewers can look forward to seeing the representative foods of the summer season as well as the fresh and brilliant energy of youth.

 

Notes

Let`s eat 3 has been shortened to 14 episodes from its originally planned 16 episodes because lead actor Yoon Doo-Joon will enlist in the South Korean military on August 24, 2018.

Baek Jin-Hee offered lead female role in tvN drama series “Let’s Eat 3”

Baek Jin-Hee has been offered the lead female role in upcoming tvN drama series “Let’s Eat 3.” Currently, Baek Jin-Hee is “positively considering” the offer. Yoon Doo-Joon (‘Highlight’) has already received an offer to play the lead male role and he is also positively considering his offer.  Yoon Doo-Joon appeared in both 2013 tvN drama series “Let’s Eat” and 2015 tvN drama series “Let’s Eat 2” and he would reprise the character of Koo Dae-Young if he accepts. Baek Jin-Hee will play a new female character if she accepts. Lee Soo-Kyung played the lead female character in “Let’s Eat,” while Seo Hyun-Jin played a different lead female character in “Let’s Eat 2.”

Exact air date for “Let’s Eat 3” has yet to be decided.

Baek Jin-hee (Jugglers) may become the third heroine to fall in love with Yoon Doo-joon (Radio Romance) in tvN’s Let’s Eat franchise, and has announced that she is considering taking on the foodie drama featuring single adults bonding over glorious mountains of shared food.

Yoon Doo-joon isn’t a lock for the third season, however, according to his management, who stated that his participation is not yet decided. We’ve heard previously that he was offered the chance to return as Dae-young, the glib foodie blogger who fell in love with two different ladies (Lee Soo-kyung and Seo Hyun-jin) in the first two seasons. As much as I don’t love the idea of the girlfriend-go-round (not when we get so attached to each one!), I do vastly prefer that scenario to not having Yoon Doo-joon back; I’m not sure we can still call it Let’s Eat 3 if we lose both the hero and the heroine from previous seasons.

tvN’s “Let’s Eat 3” Officially Confirms Highlight’s Yoon Doojoon And Baek Jin Hee As Leads

On April 11, a source from tvN confirmed the two actors have accepted their casting offers to appear in “Let’s Eat 3.”

“Let’s Eat” first aired in 2013 and gained popularity for its relatable portrayal of people’s eating habits when living alone as well as its food scenes. It returned for a second season in 2015.

This will mark the third time Yoon Doojoon has starred in this series, as he was also the male lead in both previous seasons. Baek Jin Hee will be a new addition, following in the footsteps of Lee Soo Kyung and Seo Hyun Jin from season one and season two respectively.

The tvN source also revealed that “Let’s Eat 3” is set to premiere in July, following “You Who Forgot Poetry” (literal translation) and “About Time.”

Writer Im Soo Mi, the writer of tvN’s “Let’s Eat” series, talked about what will be similar and different in the third season.

 

“Let’s Eat 3” is a drama about Goo Dae Young (Highlight’s Yoon Doojoon) as a guy in his 30s experiencing a slump when he reunites with his classmate Lee Ji Woo (Baek Jin Hee )to recapture the magic of the food they loved in their 20s.

Im Soo Mi stated, “Once again, the story will revolve around ‘single-person household’ and mukbang.”

“Let’s Eat 3,” the third installment of the “Let’s Eat” series, tells the story of a now 34-year-old Goo Dae Young (Yoon Doojoon), who has fallen into a slump and must reunite with Lee Ji Woo (Baek Jin Hee) to revisit the food they loved in their twenties.

During the interview following the photo shoot, Yoon Doojoon showed affection for the drama, saying, “I’m honored to be able to participate in the third series as well. The script is fun, and my teamwork with the other actors is great, so I’m having a good time filming. I feel peaceful rather than pressured.”
