Whatever happens, I hope they don't end up as sibling. That's too predictable. <_<

On the contrary, predictable would be if there’s a twist and they wouldn’t be siblings - it’s a plot of literally every k-drama ever. They even have a term for it - “fauxcest”

But no one ever dared to make the main couple real full blood siblings because that’s just too sad. I can’t imagine how MY will act towards her when he discovers the truth? Will he be disgusted with himself? Or will he still long for her in a romantic way?

I figure it out why they gave us so many sweet scenes... when MY learns the truth I guess there’s no more touching   Like nothing at all.

My sentiments exactly. Kdramas don’t usually give us kissing scenes and fluff for 3 consecutive episodes.

Spoiler

The bed scene didn’t happen until Ryo was stabbed by Kanzo. Our MooKang couple consummed their relationship way too early (not complaining though :D). JK telling MY that there’s no other way left to go before they kissed passionately is like the scene where Yuko ran after Ryo before their consummation. Guess no more bed scenes for us haha! :P

Episode 13/14 is like the rising action of all rising actions. They’ll probably drop the bomb at the end of 14.

The upcoming episodes are gonna be a big party pooper.

i’m still not done partying yet though...

I've been itching for Wed night to come sooner, so to quench my impatience, I decided to watch the VLive interview of our four leads (tho I was wondering why it was Seo Eun Soo 'coz I think Jang Young-nam as Tak So-jung has a much bigger role). When it came to the part when they talked about the series as a remake of a Japanese drama sensation, this is what JSM and SIG had to say:

JSM: There could be a certain burden about the original version in Japan, but despite that you couldn’t help but decide to take part in it because the script and plot were so interestingly written.

SIG: Yes, if you think about it the original piece in Japan was a huge sensation. And the plot itself is so imaginative and creative. And that was what was so famous about the original, but our drama’s script made it even more fun and interesting. All the things we could have been worried about was all taken care of and the staff interpreted the original in a new way.

I was thinking that maybe we can glean some clues on how this would all end based on their statements, but if I follow JSM's statement, it seems as if they would be staying true to the original; but SIG's words actually hinted that they may have "reinterpreted" it in a different way.

Regardless, this is going to be a long wait still. I dunno if my heart can take anymore of the suspense.

@teachermok thank you so much! Their words gave me so much hope (and woe at the same time). May I also have the link for the Vlive? :)

With regards to Ahn Ji Yeon’s Lost, I believe it will not be released until the end of 15 or probably before that. They probably just need more scenes to unfold to cover for the lyrics. Nonetheless, I can’t wait for its release.

If they decide to go down the "incest" thing, this drama is going to open a new era of korean dramas.

I've been watching them for almost 8 years, i haven't seen all of them so I could be wrong but again if the writers decide to keep the original ending, this ending will open another chapter for k drama stories.

Korean movies are so different instead, cruel, raw. I don't know if you have seen Pietà directed by Kim Ki-Duk, this movie also won the golden lion at Venice Film Festival in 2012 and also explored the theme of "incest" in a sort of way.

Tv is different, we know that, but again we have to see if the writers will be brave enough to maintain that ending.

Ughh...I don't want to see him feeling that way. Just don't break them apart tragically like that.

Wait, they're not sibling twist is much much better than the predictable incest.

I know some agree and okay if they're following the original ending. And it could be a breakthrough in kdramaland. But but I still love watching the old kdrama genre. That they're not going so bold with some taboo or sensitive issues in their dramas. Tho, this is tvn and everything is possible. And I am still hoping with some very little hope that they don't end it that way. As for drama genre, bravely unique or whatever it calls, that is why we have several choices of Asian dramas to watch. We can switch here and there to meet our favors.

I dug around to see if there was any k-drama where real incest was involved ... Well, 99% of k-dramas only deal with fauxcest but there was one drama that resembles 100MSFTS eerily.

Spoiler

It’s a sageuk drama Damo from 2003. It sounds pretty much like our drama. Spoilers below.

Girl A was separated from her brother Guy A when their family was murdered. She then grew up in the different family where she fell in love with Guy B. They both had feelings for each other but couldn’t be together because they were from different classes. She then went undercover and met  Guy A who she passionately fell in love with. Her loyalty between two men was

constantly tested.

Guess how it ends? When the truth was  revealed, Guy A stabbed Guy B who died. Then Guy A stabbed himself in front of Girl A while they were ambushed. She covered him to protect him from arrows and died herself.

OMG! Is this where we’re heading?  :astonished:

I can’t believe we only have 4 episodes left and they still haven’t released Lost by Ahn Ji Yeon that was playing since episode 5-6? I don’t think I’ve been so obsessed with an OST before :D

BTW have you guys noticed there’s a pattern here?

1) MY disappears.
2) JK is worried sick and talks to his cat.
3) MY approaches her and JK sees his shadow.
4) :star: KISS!

Lol, I didn't really think of this but since you have mentioned it, I guess it is. The kiss is like how they make up and put off their longing to each other.

I love that cat. I would adopt him if I could. Ah.. a fatty cute cat.

Beware of a shadow appearing behind you when you hold a cat. It might be an insanely hot guy trying to kiss you.

I almost forgot, a girl posted this message on a Seo In Guk facebook group.

Hi. I do not know if the members here watched Moon Lovers. If yes, you also remember that this drama was a big hit with international fans. Despite the low rating in Korea. And they even made a project to show the support of international fans. The project consisted of pictures of beautiful places in your countries / cities, where you held a paper with the message "Scarlet Heart Ryeo Was Here". The project was a success and even passed in the SBS News. Even the actors watched the video. The girls who organized this, because they tagged the video to the actors' staff, through the Instagram.

I would like to ask, what do you guys think if we do a project like that. The difference is that we will make a video with pictures of beautiful places of our countries / cities at night with a message "Hundred Millions Stars From Example: Korea"
We can try to tag the actors, the staff and even TVN.

I wished, we international fans, could show some support for them, especially for Seo In Guk and Jung So Min. That despite the bad rating in korea, the drama was great with international fans. That we even considered the best drama of 2018, one of the best of all time. The best couple of korea drama of 2018, the best chemistry of all time.

Many fans comment that on youtube, twiter and instragam. And in the forums too.

What do you think?

I said I can help her share this project if at the end of the video they put a message for TVN.
That if the end of "The Smile Has Left Your Eyes" break our hearts into a Hundred Million Pieces. We demand that in the future, TVN casting SIG e JSM for another drama, especially a romantic comedy, so we can fix it our broken heart. :phew::bawling::D

Can we also mention this in the said project if ever it materializes in order for the producers to know the demand for JSM and SIG in a rom-com? hahahahaha although I believe public petition is not that influential but wishing them to be together in another drama isn't harmless at all, is it? :D

JSM and Lee Min Ki had a cameo as Kim Mi So's parents in What's Wrong With Secretary Kim? because the director of WWWSK is also the director of Because This Is My First Life. SIG has also worked and is close with the TSHLYE's director before in High School King which is definitely a rom-com...so working with JSM in a rom-com is a possibility if ever the director chooses them to play in a new drama. I also remember Park Bo Gum being offered with the lead role in Entertainer alongside with Hyeri right after the Reply, 1988 craze.

Let's just hope that the drama gods will answer our prayers. :D
