Since you connected the song to HKW, it came to my mind that the song he was humming is linked to his mother. Could it be that the boy was raised by someone who knew HKW's mother? You are right. She may not even have married a Parisian man and just said that to save her reputation. She probably hid the son from her family knowing that the family will not accept the son because of the poor father? She went to Paris, had her son, studied cosmetics and when she came back started her business. She is now wanting to help HKW to be successful so her family will accept him in the end? However, HKW may not even want to marry after all she had put him through. The boy says he was born in Paris and returned to Korea and lived with grandma when he was 3 years old. It is very possible that the "grandma" of the boy is connected to HKW's mom. Also, CY's rich family would have taken care of the boy and CY would not need to send him to poor grandpa for babysitting and CY would not have to struggle with child care. The boy also said that they just moved to Seoul.

@bebebisous33 The song is "the moon represents my heart" and was a famous song by Teresa Teng.  HKW mentioned that this was his mom's favorite song and Eun han will not be able to guess it (because it was a mandarin song and not korean)

Kan chan ki sure isn't a good reporter, the way Jung soo jin can run circles around him.  I don't care for his methods as well, intimidating people, filing lawsuits, threatening a person's livelihood,  he's just a bully.  Good thing HKW refused to be intimidated.  

I saw a picture of Kim Jae won sitting with a SBC (Seoul Broadcasting Corp) logo behind him so I think his interview does push through.

I'm getting a little impatient on how slow the reveal is taking.  I hope the pay-off will be satisfactory and as dramatic as how they're presenting it.

That's true that KCK is a bad reporter because he only revealed the scandal from his mother's company, when he got aware that the evening news had the info and would use the scandal in order to boost their evening anchor. He showed no real moral ethics.

 

As for the space of the story, I have not much to complain because we get each week more and more info about JEH, while at the same time, a new question arises.

I like your theory. But I have another idea inspired by your theory. What if CY's mother knew about the relationship between her daughter and HKW and decided to ruin the business of HKW's mother in order to separate the couple. CY comes from a powerful and rich family. Notice that his mother's debts and death coincide with CY's break up and her sudden disappearance. After forcing her daughter to dump HKW, CY realized that she was pregnant. But she knew that her mother was the reason why HKW's life got ruined hence she felt guilty for his misery. That's why she never tried to approach him before. On the other hand, she wanted to create a link between son and father therefore she sent her son to a grandmother who knew HKW's father. The father likes the song too and knew how to sing it. She had to hide her son from her real grandmother because she would have never accepted her grandson. Only after her mother's death, she had now the possibility to approach HKW.  Imagine, when HKW's father discovers that his wife's debts were caused by CY's mother, I doubt that he would accept his son to marry her. All this time, he blamed his wife for his misery...

 

What do you think? Are we coming closer to the truth?

@bebebisous33  It's a good theory but CY doesn't seem to suffer from guilt.  Her attitude is very arrogant and presumptuous.  I don't see her as having remorse over her actions.  Her actions seems very calculated.

You are right. When I wrote this, I had more in mind that deep down, she knew that if her mother was involved in the failure of the business of HKW's mother, she could no longer marry HKW. She had lost the right to marry him as she was the reason why his life was ruined. She didn't feel real remorse, rather she knew that she was responsible for his misery. Maybe her mother intervened as she considered her daughter's action as the action of a spoiled child.

This would explain why CY is helping him with her strategy. On the one hand, she wants to correct the wrongdoing of her mother, on the other hand she has to hide her mother's implication. Besides, she believes that her action will help her to improve her reputation. I suspect that CY will hide all this from HKW.  

Then imagine, when our hero discovers that CY never really took care of her son (he was raised by the grandmother), this will increase his desdain for her. CY did see her son as a stigma and burden and only used him as the final straw in order to change her situation.

I like that  and hope by the next episodes next weekend that she will have recalled her true memories and have the presence of mind to go to the monitors to see what her husband saw.... Jung on her knees and took that as proof that it was EH who was being delusional. She needs to understand how Jung operates so she knows how to counter Jung and show no fear.

Hi @zenya22 I enjoyed reading your detailed comment on the latest episode. I agree with the above, next week's episode will be more suspense, intriguing and exciting. That Butler Jung is very smart, because she knew that KCK monitored the CCTV, she went down to kneel as if begging JEH but instead she was threatening her with an evil and crazy look. I hope this time, JEH is much stronger than the old JEH. I wonder why they don't want to tell JEH about Dara. Is Dara her daughter or KCK's out of wedlock's daughter. His rival told him after investigation, found out he has a house in Japan with a beautiful woman and a little girl.

JEH has to become smarter than Jung and not play by the rules just like Jung. Jung is ruthless and will do whatever she has to do to destroy whom she perceives as her enemy. JEH has to do the same and more. Her husband's weakness is JEH his wife. She is his obsession. So this maybe controversial but for JEH, she can use her husband's obsession to work; for her and her daughter's survival. She will need to get her husband to side with her instead of Jung by "dating/seducing" him. Not the jumping the person all at once, but slow, deliberate and calculative seduction, they are married after all. By doing the things that he finds so attractive about her such as knowing he needs warm water to drink or giving him dates instead of olives with his Martini and even become who she was when they were dating and maybe first married. KCK said once that if he can bring back those days when they were dating, that those days he remembers being happy, he will do anything. So, JEH will need to make him pay full attention to her and make him trust her to the point where he will believe and take her side instead of Jung, where he will not ask Jung to escort her but the chauffer instead. But she has to make it look like he is doing the chasing and courting all over again and not the other way around. She will have to adapt to another personality as needed. She can't confront Jung all by herself one on one that she be careful there is a witness. She can strategize to make her enemies fight each other and while they are busy doing that get Dara and her out of the house. Just my thoughts.....

@zenya22. I like your thoughts.  JEH seducing her own husband to get to Jung is a great idea.  I would love to see this play out.  I just hope JEH can stand her ground and not let them intimidate her this time.

Hi All,  just started watching this a few days ago and am loving it so far.  It is going to keep us guessing.  I love being able to go in here and see everyone else's thoughts regarding the drama.  I also am hoping that JEH will continue to be strong and not let Jung defeat her this time around.  She seems to be doing ok, so far.  She knows Jung is the one she needs to be careful of and President Min and CK do not believe anything she says over Jung, so as stated by others above, I hope she will learn to use the CCTV to her advantage.  

 

I have to say that I loved how CK put Jung in her place the morning after the basement incident. Saying she was an employee in the house telling her to serve JEH the soup instead of the Main Housekeeper.  

 

As far as the little boy, I don't believe he belongs to KW.  I think CY will try to make it seem as if he is his though.  I am not liking her character at all.  She is too arrogant for me.  Even if it is his son, I don't think KW will fall for her attempt to get him to marry her.  She has already burned that bridge.

 

I also do not believe that DR is JEH's daughter.  She probably belongs to CK and another woman.  I am thinking that Jung is the one who hurt DR and tried to make it look like JEH did it by hurting her and then staging the suicide attempt.  Just another one of her evil attempts to get rid of JEH.  I am a little confused as to who put JEH in the bathtub after her wrists had been cut.  It was definitely staged to look like suicide.  Was it Jung or was it CK?  Her memories showed CK looking down at her when she was calling for help and bleeding. 

 

I think we all know now that Jung is after one thing and that is to be the Madame of the house and CK's wife.  She is the insane one.  

 

Definitely looking forward to this week's episodes and more of everyone's posts.

@Pam_Van Fossenwelcome, glad you joined the discussion. I agree about DR. We all have doubts about DR being the daughter of JEH but perhaps CK may have brought DR into his home hoping that JEH will become a mother to his daughter and solidify her role as his wife. She gave up her career to marry him for her brother not knowing the price she had to pay. I don't think JEH realized she had to give up her dreams of becoming a writer/novelist and unaware of the secrets her husband maybe hiding. In her dreams JEH was dressed in a red gown and was fighting with a man who looks like her husband and we see her pick up a doll. She may have been set up by Jung and she was actually protecting Dara but Jung made CK and the grandmother that JEH had hurt her. I hope that aside from her martial she has to sharpen her mind.

Saw a preview in You tube but it did not reveal clues about the upcoming episodes, Just showed JEH standing in a some kind of a  plaza surrounded by big buildings and people passing by. She was asking herself about what her life was, showed her imagining a man and woman meeting looked like her pre surgical self and a man looked like CK,  if she had her own family, imagining a man and a woman seated in a park bench with a baby then she heard a ringing sound, held her head as she distinctly remembers her old self lying down in the surgical room ready for facial surgery. That is the only legit memory she had in this preview. Then HKW appears and tells her, he will help her recall her memories. Not much of a preview. Hope the upcoming episodes will be a good surprise and that is why they are keeping it close to their vests.

This is the preview and Dr. Han does go to the morning news! As for Jung, she tries to destroy DR's relationship with JEH. But this won't work. I am looking forward for the meeting between detective Kim and Miss Jung. I hope, she gets really upset and starts panicking.

finally caught up and the drama continues to be mystery! ooh, we are 12 episodes and we are still just as clueless as eun han.

 

for me the big question is really her family -- why would the mother and brother seem to think she has depression when they hardly saw her for two years? they don't even have her phone number? and the only person they talked to was butler jang? and the mom just believed that she was happy?????? of all the bizarre things in the drama, this is the weirdest!! and @celebrianna ~ even I am confused why they are keeping things from her and refusing to tell her who dara is. can't even understand why they keep packing her off to the inlaws. are they even on her side?????

 

@bebebisous33 @zenya22 ~ can totally see why you folks are getting "sleeping with the enemy" and other such movie vibes. the whole house is weird. who has a code of conduct that says you need to be escorted everywhere? in essence, butler jang and driver have more power and freedom than the actual employers and eun han. how bizarre is that? because butler jang keeps playing off the anchor against the mom-in-law, it is hard to guess who is behind it all. it looks like all the people in the house have their own agenda and butler jang moves pieces on the chessboard to her own convenience. she is really revealing herself to be a psycho -- it is possible that anchor kang is also a little off and so is the mom-in-law but butler jang looks like the real evil one. doctor and detective so far are the ones best suited to battle with her....

 

really liked that doctor isn't some lovesick puppy. if this was a normal situation, he would have admired her but moved on with his life. so appreciate the maturity. instead, he himself senses that there is a danger surrounding eun han and as a man of honour, he can't pretend it didn't happen. not sure what is going on with the psychiatrist but I wonder if her suicide attempts were actually attempts to stay outside the hospital.. when psychiatrist said she needs to be hospitalized, anchor kang disagreed and took her home. so her suicide attempts may have been attempts to escape and get outside the weird bird cage. so perhaps the psychiatrist was trying to protect herself as well as himself when he abandoned her. the question is why would his wife think it was an affair. what is worrying and scaring the psychiatrist when he can't even reveal to eun han what is going on....

 

as for dara, am not sure if it is her child or someone else. have my doubts if the little boy is indeed doctor's child -- clingy makeup lady seems like the type to make up lies...

 

because it is the gardener's phone that is missing, it makes me think that whatever she saw and recorded on the phone occurred in the garden where there are no CCTVs...

@kysyand @bebebisous33 thank you for the preview and the stills. The stills seem to suggest that JEH was able to take DR out of the house and HKW now knows about her so we now have someone else helping to protect  DR and yes I can't wait to see what Detective Kim plans for Jung who seems to be panicking. I also am anticipating to see what the cousin will find in the phone that once belonged to the gardener and now his. Whatever is in that phone is what is making CK very nervous. Maybe having DR with her will help bring back EH memory faster.

I think that the wife of the doctor may have been told by someone from the house, this is only a conjecture, that butler Jung may have told and gossiped about JEH to the wife. While she was waiting at the cafe EH received a text before the wife appeared to meet the doctor at his office. But the wife had sent her the text before to wait for the doctor at the cafe which is quite wierd for a doctor to do if it was a doctor/patient appointment. EH at that time was at her wit's end wanting to know information from the doctor did not think it unusual that a doctor would meet her at a cafe and we learn it was the wife who sent the text. I am disappointed though that the doctor had the opportunity to tell EH when she met her at the park,  who was the real renter of the officetel and refused to do so.

This drama is really messing with me and I keep thinking one thing and then changing my mind and going totally in another direction and still with this great sense of what the heck I'm LOST!!!

 

After 14 episodes I actually thought about just watching all of them again as there has to be more clues that I am missing!!! 

My thoughts after episode 14

EH wasn't as weak as they thought or she wouldn't have been able to escape that house and she had courage and knowledge enough to save GW.  Not to mention cutting yourself just enough to escape! What also lingers are the dreams EH had about her ninja skills and after today's episode I am wondering why she didn't use those moves on her abusive husband. Who had no problem beating her and it would seem from what DR said her sleeping on the sofa was to protect her Mother from the scary room.  So it was happening a lot!

 

Also from the beginning the characters we now know were all at the funeral and how was that woman so important to EH that she would risk going there in the first place.  Not to mention they knew she would more than likely be there?  Forgive me if I missed that somewhere thankful to be enlightened by those who may know.

 

Also the comment about returning Jung to headquarters came as a surprise from KCK's Mom.  I guess she isn't as attached to her as I thought.  At least with JUNG we know she is bad to the bone and just wants KCK and even more the powers she for some reason believes she deserves.

 

I don't believe that DR is EH's daughter either it just doesn't make sense that she would leave her daughter there with those crazies...

 

Although if I had been EH I think I would have hired someone else to replace and pretend she had surgery and send the female version of the Terminator in there to give KCK a taste of his own medicine and beat on him for a while...

 

I keep hoping I am wrong about KCK as he seemed kind of caring at the start...
