While Lazy Subber suggests something like "Yes I'm a guy who likes girls, but I like you for who you are even if you're a guy" the other translation says "Yes, guys should like girls. But I don't care, the one I like is you".

 

Here we'd better wait for the official subs to be certain of what Ae's saying (let's hope it's close to the second version ^^).

Well yeah. But what I'm wondering is this. After thinking about Pete and of course reacting- is he asking himself " Am I gay " and going to check out some sites to see if he has the same reaction or is he going for a an instructional document ? LOL

 ok so everyone is talking about aepete (and I get it they're main couple) but I'm really invested in tincan couple more (I like aepete tho) I think tincan have so much potential in the series  and meanplan's acting is wow I loved that small, but intense scene! And is there anyone who can share some tincan spoilers?  I'd really appreciate that

So apparently after Plan and Mean  filled their scene...Plan fainted.  It was intense to say the least !  That's the director in the middle.

OKAY. When I watched this, the way he was breathing and his cheeks were blowing out - I kept thinking...  he looks like he's about to PTFO.

 

This summer a friend of mine passed out and she had a similar breathing pattern right before.

Hummmm, in regards to Lazy's translation, could it be that he's considering all the times he may have had a random crush on a girl that never went anywhere? I've had random crushes that lasted a couple of days or a couple of weeks. It means he's capable of liking girls even if he's never acted on those feelings.

It's must be pretty difficult to play someone who's as hyperactive as the character Can is, and not be that way in real life. It's got to push you blood pressure up and that combined with possible hot weather isn't good. I hope they keep a close eye on him in the future. If it's happened once it can happen again.

Actually the character he played I'm MIR was also like this... this perhaps has become his character model...he pulls it off very well.

As far as I can tell, Lazy Subber's translation is correct:

If I'm hearing him correctly, Ae says ผมผู้ชายที่ชอบผู้หญิง which means I'm (ผม (phohm) = I) a guy (ผู้ชาย (phuu chaai) = guy) who (ที่ (thee) = that/who) likes (ชอบ (chaawp) = like) girls (ผู้หญิง (phuu ying) = girl).

 

 

Edit: Just to note, saying you're a guy can also be interpreted as slang for being straight, but that already implies liking girls, which is why I think LazySubber's translation is more appropriate.

ok see I was so excited about the possibility of a varied translation.  I was hoping to break the trope...still waiting to see how Pond's comments roll out...
