Don't yet seen ep 2 (have friend at home), just have a look on post and this little cut is so great, what a scene (apart his silly roommate end). Thanks to LZ, so fast as usual!

It is amazing to see how LS 1 & 2 have influenced so much BL series, from the script/actors/acting/music/serie maker/director and all other technical duties that turn aound the making to the message inside the storyline. LS is the keystone for all past, coming and future series. You like it or not is not important (some spite on it, other becoming addict), so LS has opened a road that a lot ride on it.

It's pretty funny because LS had been first aired by MCOT and now MCOT refused to air Love By Chance at the last minute. They will regret that they lost such a gem like Love By Chance. 

 

For GMM, I think that because they're currently airing A Tee, so they probably don't want (or didn't set aside enough budget) to promote 2 BL series at the same time. This is a great pity because I believe Love By Chance deserves much more popularity.

 

BTW, I think Pond's name is a pun. When I heard his name, I thought it was "P-o-r-n", which actually suited his personality. Only when I looked at the list of characters on the first page of this topic, it turned out that his name was transliterated as "Pond". I think Thai people probably pronounce these 2 words in the same way.

I consider it cannon ! I think if you've watched 20 or so drama's very few stand out like LS...and now LBC.

I think part of the issue is that LBC is not a Gmmtv production. They are hosting it because MCOT dropped it. I understand that the production company is independent and partly funded by Chinese investors. So Gmm is lending it's platform along with line.   I also think they are trying to see just how many international fans are around and watch BL ( subs).  We could see a change down the road from all the stations.  Just 4 years ago...subs were something you just didn't get. You either learned the language or learned to watch raw. Now with more international fans ..subs are becoming more important - the more people you reach the more that turn in to watch your shows on your channel. I don't think there is a big rush to sub Mint...currently airing

Finished Watching ep. 2 kinda good... Tin and Can is in the same scene but still never talk to each other yet... Aey seem not so straight and kinda treat Pete like a girl who need protection... the big difference attitude between how Aey treat Pete with love and care with soft and gentle tone compare to Pond (Porn) his roommate being hit, kick, bash, scold by Aey all the time... Aey is straight erm... I need to rethink about it now... The part whereby Pond is watching the porn together with other guys ... his tongue and touching his little bro is too "real", haha, his personality and lifeline is his private stash of porn collection... he is kinda funny and i believe he'll help in Aey realisation with Pete... his interaction with his future girlfriend is ok quite good kinda silly and funny... looking forward to this funny only BG couple in the series... this episode seem to have too much scene of pond and I saw some comments that they think pond has too much scene time and the bg line is not require or kinda "extra", more scene time should be given to other BL couples... well... I beg to differ as I believe Pond high concentration of scene time will have it's use and agenda... looking forward to next friday episode 3... like the post and share your thoughts too =)

I think so too... Pond should change his name to Porn... Porn is something he needs daily... I am wondering what gonna happened to his future girlfriend, since they're the only BG couple in the series, doing something he loves daily with his girlfriend, his poor girlfriend gonna hate him i guess... too tiring to entertain pond ... erm i mean porn =P

Yes, agree with you. At first, i was thinking he is just a stupid one, a ball and chain roommate, a porn addict, however this ep show he is also a good guy! Poor (and happy) Ae, he must have to educate two peoples at the same time! Enter into love is sometime a vocation!

Ae is sooo innocent. He looks like he's flirting, but is actually oblivious on what he's doing.

 

Meanwhile, Pete looks innocent, but I bet his mind is not. Can't blame him though; nobody can resist ogling Ae.

Even though I initially dismissed Love By Chance after watching episode 1 last week, I decided to give it another chance with 2 episodes released. Despite some parts I don't enjoy, I do like the main couple's story, and will give episode 3 a shot as well next week.

 

For me to feel anything while watching a drama, I need the characters to act and behave in a realistic manner. Both the comic relief and the antagonist on this show break that immersion for me. I know some people don't mind it at all. I just prefer to avoid it. Luckily, Ae and Pete make up for a lot of that, and it's worth watching the show just for them. I love the contrast between the two characters, and it's nice having a gay character right from the start who isn't confused, instead of the usual "I don't like guys, except for you". I don't know what happens in the novel, so I'm excited to see how this builds up, and what struggles they have to overcome.

 

To be fair, I did chuckle at what Pete did right here though.

I agree. No way is his character feminine in any respect. He's polite and a quite speaker. That doesn't make him feminine or effeminate.

Yep! I like this kind of casual fixation. BTW, no-one is innocent for everything, however, some are less innocent than others. The best exemple comes from Ae. At first he comes to help at "road accident" where he was concerned, so now, i think he hope this road accident happens each days! Road accident was the first element that start the fuse, he"innocently" passed with his bike at the right place, at the right time. And just after the accidental meeting, he show he is gay friendly. Suddenly, the Pete's fuse was terribly short, while the Ae's one just began to burn!!!
