RECAP, EPISODE 102

 

When Kang enters her Mother’s hospital room, Hwang’s Mother hauls richardsimmons out the door.

 

Hwang speaks with her Mother on the sidewalk.  Hwang seems to be disappointed that her Mother left Kang’s Mother alive.  Not to mention the fact that Kang’s Mother has also resumed consciousness.

 

Hwang’s Mother assures her Daughter that she’ll Take The Rap for everything.

 

Kang’s Mother remembers nothing.  She does, however, realize that it was weird that Hwang’s Mother was in her hospital room.

 

The Doctors assure that Kang’s Mother’s memory will eventually return.

 

Lee tells Kang that her Mother apparently planned to deliver lunch to his Mother but his Mother never saw her.  He tells her not to worry.  Too much.

 

Lee admonishes Kang that telling her Mother they’ve broken up could interfere with her recovery.

 

Hwang’s Mother returns to the House of Yoon and is told by Lee’s Mother that the Police had been there asking questions because “someone” was injured in front of their store.   Hwang’s Mother is releaved to hear that the CCFV has been broken for weeks so there is no footage of whatever happened to whomever.

 

Hwang’s Mother encounters Yoon and begins to make a full confession but stops when Yoon tells her that Kang’s Mother still has amnesia.

 

When Yoon learns that her Sister visited Kang’s Mother in her hospital room, she is surprised and impressed by her kindness.

 

As Halmoni waits in the courtyard for Yoon to return home, Kang’s Sister comes through the gate.  Halmoni recognizes her as her Grandson’s former tutor, and is surprised to lear that she is Kang’s Sister.

 

Halmoni rattles on about how great their Mother is for raising Kang, even though she is a “foundling.”  Kang’s Sister is like, WTF?

 

Kang’s Sister goes to her apartment and ponders the new and puzzling information.

 

Hwang receives a phone call from her Mother and is relieved to hear that Kang’s Mother still can’t remember anything that happened during the last two days.  Jist then Park returns home and startles her.  He wonders why his Wife is acting weird.

 

 When Hwang’s Mother returns home Dawg is already in his pajamas and amorous and frisky.  She has a headache.  Why does meat desire the grinder?

 

Dawg tells his wife that he has heard that Kang’s Mother has not lost all of her memory.  She’s like. That’s too bad.  Dawg is shocked.

 

Yoon tells Kang to go into her house and retrieve something.  When Kang does so she notices a large marble and is strangely fascinated by it.  Just then, Hwang enters the room.

 

Hwang seizes the marble from Kang’s hand and begins railing at her.  Kang is like, WTF?

 

Kang leaves when Hwang threatens to call the police on her.  Hwang realized that she has overplayed her hand.

 

Lee’s Sister shows her parents the ultrasound photograph of her fetus and tells them that she has changed her  mind.  Leo and her Father are happy but her Mother is not.

 

When Kang’s Mother notices that her Daughter isn’t wearing her ring, Kang claims that she lost it.  When Lee claims that he found it and slides it across the table to Kang, she is in no position to refuse it.  Kang’s Mother tells her not to be so careless in the future.  Lee grins like a coyote with a face full of chicken feathers.

 

Morning.

 

At the House of Yoon, a Detective informs Hwang’s Mother that she was seen in the vicinity when Kang’s Mother was injured.  Hwang’s Mother attempts some bafflegab, but Lee’s Sister is nearby and distinctly remembers Kang’s Mother’s visit, which Hwang’s Mother is claiming to know nothing about.

 

An eyewitness fortuitously emerges from behind a rack of clothes.  Hwang’s Mother and Lee’s Sister recognize her and are stunned.  The return of the repressed.

 

The eyewitness knows she saw something but is not immediately sure what that something was.  She promises to contact the detective as details emerge from her memory.

 

The Detective leaves.  Hwang’s Mother and Fake Missing Daughter square off.  They walk into Yoon’s office.  Yoon is not delighted.

 

Fake Daughter begs for another chance but Yoon ain’t having it.  Hwang’s Mother begins to breathe a bit easier.

 

Hwang’s Mother is delighted when Yoon orders her to escort Fake Daughter from the building.

 

As Fake Daughter leaves the House of Yoon, she literally bumps into Kang.  Kang demands that she apologize to Yoon and drags her into the building for a return visit to Yoon’s office.

 

As Hwang’s Mother is giving Yoon some bafflegab about why she brought Fake Daughter into her hoffice, Kang drags Fake Daughter back into the office.

 

Yoon storms out of her office, leaving Kang, Fake Daughter and Hwang’s Mother alone with each other.

 

For some reason Kang leaves Hwang’s Mother and Fake Daughter alone with each other.  They end up at a café table together.

 

Hwang’s Mother discovers that Fake Daughter is holding the cards.

 

She’s  “. . . not selling any alibis

 

As you stare into the vacuum of [her] eyes

 

And say do you want to make a deal?”

She is really weird when she was caught for stealing Leos designs, she asked JE what to do and her daughter told that is not her problem and she should deal with it, she called her daughter a what rhymes with witch while crying. Now she is asking her not to say anything and she will take the fall!, the truth to be told JE started it but her mother is the one who committed crime after crime so basically JE  did what any immature filled with jealousy little girl will do, while her mother did what a career criminal or thug will do, and she did it for the money.

Episode 102 

Was quite good in my opinion. Halmeoni loves Ha Nee so much that she paid Sa Rang money to love her sister more because she was unfortunate. Now Sa Rang will understand her mom more since she gave Ha Nee so much attention. Sa Rang is loved by Ha Nee and her mom. Her mom gives her a lot of attention and she has seen her sister’s sacrifice for their family. 

 

I am so happy that EA survived and I was so scared that my imagination has going through so much scenario where EA didn’t survive. 

 

I HAVE TO SAY DAMN!! THE UNIVERSE ISN’T ON JE AND SH’s SIDE AT ALL. THEY RELEASED FAKE SJ TO HANDLE JE AND SH. 

LOOK AT HOW BRAZEN SH IS TELLING FAKE SJ TO LIVE A BETTER LIFE . DID YOU SEE THE SMIRK ON SH FACE WHEN JH TOLD FAKE SJ TO DIE. IT NEVER ONCE FAZED SH AT THE WAY JH WAS TREATING FAKE SJ.  I BELIEVE SH IS DELUSIONAL AND THAT JH WILL FORGIVE HER WHEN THE TRUTH COMES OUT BECAUSE THEY ARE SISTERS.

 Lately I am finding it really hard to dislike the Halmeoni. She is so drawn to HN and really likes her. I think due to her upbringing we may  never like they way she acts. She can be cruel but when I see her with HN, I can’t stop smiling when she interacts with HN. Also lately I have been thinking maybe maybe  “ Please follow where I am going with this” @awsparkle  brought a point about nature vs nurture and favoritism was mentioned in this thread a lot.  We discussed JH, SH and JE’s character. It made me wonder what if, SH was always selfish and she used to always take her sister stuff but mom kept putting her foot down and tell her she needs to give it back to her sister which seemed like favoritism. We’ve all seen SH take take take take take and never give so does JH. For twenty years , SH has used her sister but never once given her anything. Remember the flashback when SJ tried share her chocolate with JE and she said she hates her. That flashback been in the back of my mind making me wonder what if there is no favoritism but JE being just selfish because it is her nature. JE stealing her marble and refusing to give it to her.  Since we don’t know the sequence of evens about the sharing the chocolate when Halmeoni said she didn’t have to share. What if that particular scene came after not before JE telling her she hated her. Maybe Halmeoni knows what JE said and told her she didn’t have too. I want HN’s memory to come back so I can finally believe Favoritism is what brought on their insecurities. In this world I refused to just put the blame on favoritisms between siblings to reach this kind of hate between families. Yes this is a drama but It can happen because everyone in this world is an individual first. I hope you guys can understand me.

  I LOVE the scene when Dong Seok was trying to be lovey dovey with the evil witch SH.

 

He must be SO DUMB not to be able to detect her "constipated" look? 

How on earth can she be in the MOOD for what he had in mind?

I think the Fake SJ has other ulterior motive, why was she asking SH to let her work in SJ boutique?  I think that's what she really wants that's why she came back with blackmailing SH, maybe she was watching the mother daugher all along because she wants revenge, then she happened to find a "chance" when she saw SH push EA.

 

The look of exasperation in DG's face was priceless, he is slowly realizing that he married a crazy woman. 

 

For me SH is a terrible mom, she keeps tolerating JE's problem instead of fixing it, Her solution to her attention seeking daughter is to make more crimes to satisfy her. They will both end up in jail or in a mental institution (I hope).

By now, they should have been depicted losing weight and looking al white and sick.

They still have time to put on fine outfits and make up.

Their spouses should notice that they are both draining and ask why.

Anyway, the two spouses are something else

 

Fake SJ saw her but will want to milk in on the opportunity as she is already doing but they both will be caught.

If that police officer can read in between lines, SH looks as guilty as hell. He was looking at her suspiciously. 

 

It's actually good they brought in that fake girl to  conclude her story. We will know if she is remorseful or still the same her.

 

The fake policeman should also surface etc to blackmail SH.

All her fortune should deplete trying to cover her sin that she will have nothing to survive on in the end if her sis later throw her out.

If the husband eventually forgives(after her jail term. Possible time jump), no choice for her except to go to the village with her daughter and live with her mother in law.

 

Sometimes I wonder how weak that man can be.

He left his mum in the rural area and is here enjoying life with his wife's mum in the city for yrs. I haven't seen the family visit her but she is always the one who visits them.

Very wicked son.

 

Happy HG father has gone back to the man I usually admire.

Love the way he shut his wife up.

 

As per the wife, wish she gets her punishment too. Children actually tolerate a lot from their parents in k drama. U are working. Enough to drive a jeep. What the hell are you doing at home?

 

So also Hanna and her husband. Seems it's actually the culture not necessarily about money to live together with families.

I think that's one of the reason Korea has a very strong family unit.

It has its pros and cons.

I'm advising viewers not to miss any second of this drama as the dialogues are very well written indeed as well as witty! 

 

I'm now beginning to like grandma now as she seems to be mellowing down alot from her outragious, irritating  nagging character earlier. I simply LOVE how she keeps rebutting at SH and indirectly insulting her now. 

 

Oh no! I HOPE the writer wont decide on a Sarang/ Ji Soo loveline as I just HATE the thought of Sarang having the evil witch as a mum-in-law.

 

Having said that I also want HN & HG  to live as far AWAY as possible from his mum, the Drama Queen after they got married!

@darr... She is very remorseful to Jin Hui. She was shocked to see JH tell her to die. Smh SMh Smh Were you shocked to hear JH tell Fake SJ to die if she is remorseful. I also think something may have happened to her mom. She rather looked sad having to go back to the store when HN made her go back. Lol LOL  I was laughing at that scene. 

JH went home with Ha Nui after she brought Fake SJ to beg for forgiveness. SH was so shocked to hear that Ha Nui and JH met through fake SJ. SH is truly despicable, she really tried to pin the con on Ha Nui. WOw WOOW,  She really never stop with her accusation. 

 

How may of you loved the look of horror on Shi Hui's face when Fake SJ ripped the envelop.?

@howa I believe she is embezzling from SJ Boutique. She has no money, no class and no manners. Everything SH has  in her mind is rightfully hers. DELUSIONAL and I can't wait for her sister to tell it to her face that she is the reason she got a good life and she regret ever taking her in.

Like that Fake SJ is drilling it into SH.  I think she said that it is a lie that SJ is dead and she somehow associated HN.  Did not understand the full conversation.  

 

Grandma is getting a load of HN . she bought her chocolates and SH had a heart attack seeing HN in their house.  Grandma iterated that HN is so much like SJ.

 

Even in the preview, Grandma spilled a drink and gave her a dress that JH used to wear.  

 

Grandma is going by her feels and she is so attracted to HN.  As many of you have discussed, grandma might be the one to disclose about SJ.  At this rate, she might even get a dna test done without telling anybody .

Summary of ep. 103

 

Disclaimer : I don't speak Korean so mistakes and misunderstandings are possible

 

 - JH receives a text message from fSJ and is very hurt and angry about it. The shoemaker comforts her.

- HG's dad comes to HG's room before he leaves for work. He asks HG about EA and HG tells him that EA lost her memory including the fiasco with HG's mom

- at the same time at the breakfast table Hanna tells HG's mom about EA bringing lunch boxes, and HG's mom is annoyed

- EA want to go to work and does not listen to HN telling her she should rest

- fake SJ goes to JH's old house and meets grandma and SH in front of the door. Grandma is angry and SH is smug. SH also provokes fSJ by bumping into her shoulder when she walks away.

- JE's dad and HG's dad visit EA at the side dish store. Since she lost her memory HG's dad is all Master here, master there. He is suggesting to help her with work so she can recover and JE's dad is annoyed and makes remarks about HG's dad being her enemy. JE's dad wants to tell her that HG's dad disapproves of HN but HG's dad pushes him out of the store and together with the shoemaker they seems to convince JE's dad to keep quiet.

- SH suggests to JH at the SJB's office that she should sent the family doctor to EA

- HN has a meeting with HG at the K1 channel and they talk about EA and their relationship (I think about pretending). And I think he says it isn't over till it is over.

- when the two are walking out they meet JH and JE. JH tells HN about doctor Kim. JE is surprised when JH tells her that it was SH's idea,

-  HG and HN have dinner with SR and EA at a restaurant. HG is charming EA and SR while HN looks like she ate lemons.

- HN wants to go home with her family but SR insists that she should go on a date with HG. She even says: Fighting, HG.  

- after they leave, HG takes HN's hand but she is not impressed and wants to pull her hand away. HG is threatening to tell onomin. HN puts her hand over his mouth and agrees to go on a date hand in hand.

- when HN comes home she meets JH in the front yard. They have a talk and HN tells her she gave up on finding her birth parents.

- The shoemaker, JH, DG and a reluctant JE have a family meeting dicussing HN and her mom

- fakeSJ crashes a coffee date of JE and DG. She introduces herself as JE's friends and JE so shocked she does not refute her. After DG leaves the table fSJ threatens JE.

- grandma is out stress shopping and comes across HN.They have a friendly chat and HN helps her carry the bags home. Grandma then gives HN chocolate as a reward/thanks you,

- SH comes home and is shocked to see HN. HN leaves and grandma remarks about how similar HN is to SJ as they both chocoholics  SH turns pale and denies any similarities.

- JE tells SH about fSJ threatening her and SH replies that the same thing happened to her, and then they have another I'll protect you conversation

- SH confronts fSJ but she is biting on granite there. Fake SJ figured out/guesses correctly that they faked SJ's death and this makes SH very nervous

- HN meets JE when she comes home with the chocolate and asks her about fSJ. JE is rude and tells her it is none of her business.

- HN offers JE one of the bags with chocolate telling her that they are from grandma. And JE throws them on the floor. HN is flabbergasted.
