New photos have been released featuring the cast of SBS drama Vagabond during their script reading, which took place last June.

Present at the reading were lead actors, Lee Seung-gi (Hwayugi), Suzy (While You Were Sleeping), and Shin Sung-rok (Perfume). Supporting cast members included Moon Jung-hee (Sweet Savage Family), Baek Yoon-shik (Cantabile Tomorrow), Kim Min-jong (Mrs Cop) and Hwang Bora (What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim).

The story of Vagabond sets off after a passenger plane crashes and tragically kills hundreds of passengers. The incident is reported to the public as an accident, due to problems with the plane, but truth of the matter is different from what’s been reported and the government conceals what really happened on the plane. In order to expose the government corruption, one man becomes a “vagabond” and embarks on a dangerous journey to reveal the truth. Having no family, no attachments, and even ridding himself of his name, he has nothing left to lose.

Playing the vagabond is Lee Seung-gi. His character is a stunt double who’s passionate about his job and dreams of becoming an action star like Jackie Chan someday. The only family Lee Seung-gi has left is his beloved little nephew Hoon. When Hoon dies in that fateful plane crash. Lee’s life is torn apart by the tragedy. However, after the purported accident, Lee Seung-gi stumbles across a strange video on his nephew’s cloud account and the contents reveal Hoon in the midst of what seems to be a terrorist attack on the plane, which sets Lee off on a journey for the truth.

Suzy takes on the role of a black-ops agent who feels compelled to seek out the truth and is driven by a desire to follow her conscience. Due to the nature of her job, she’s encountered all sorts of unimaginable crises and situations which have helped her to grow, and she’s adept at thinking outside of the box. She was on a job in Morocco when the plane crash occurred, and was quickly dispatched to help receive the upset family members of the deceased. However, when she meets a crazed Lee Seung-gi shouting about terrorists, she’s faced with making a decision between what’s right versus what is pragmatic.

It's been a long time since I've felt such interest, involvement, and excitement for a drama.

The fact that they're talking in such a way is highly promising. We could already tell from the little snippets we've seen (It's good that we haven't been spoiled much), but reading them say it just reaffirms it and confirms it.

My only question why they filmed in Morocco and Portugal consider the story main point is that it is about a nation conspiracy.... Bu I guess we should wait and see how it goes :)

Ohh..they filmed in Portugal too? I only know they filmed in Morocco. I'm interesred to see how they'll include the filming locations in the storyline. My first guess for Morocco is because the airplane crash happened there, so it will be the starting point for the conspiracy to unravel. Hahaha

was reading that they also filmed in that country.  you maybe right about the location for the airplane crash and the start for our hero getting involved in the political conspiracy. Anyway, seems like we gonna get many pretty landscape scenes! really crossing my fingre this to be well told story with not just action but also heart. I feel it is easy just going with allot of action scenes without fleshing out the other side of the story in this type of gener. so hope for this to be balanced well :D

SBS’s upcoming Friday-Saturday drama “Vagabond” has released new stills of Lee Seung Gi!

“Vagabond” is a spy drama that tells the story of a man who uncovers the dark truth and hidden corruption behind a mysterious plane crash. It is also an action melodrama featuring the dangerous and candid adventures of “vagabonds” who have lost their families, groups, and even names.

Lee Seung Gi will be playing the role of Cha Dal Gun, a stuntman who admires Jackie Chan and dreams of dominating the action film industry. His goals change, however, when he loses his only nephew and tries to find the truth behind a mysterious plane crash incident. Not only does Cha Dal Gun have a black belt in martial arts and incredible skills in taekwondo, judo, jujitsu, kendo, and boxing, but he’s also absurdly confident and shameless.

In the stills, Lee Seung Gi wears a sleeveless top and shows off his toned arms. He casually drapes his towel over his shoulder and rests his hands in his pockets. As he poses, a large tattoo with the phrase “God of War” written in Chinese characters is marked on his bicep, drawing viewers’ attention. His serious expression and various facial injuries also pique viewers’ curiosity as to what exactly happened to him.
