Prof. is actually referring to Jinwoo's 2nd wife who is entitled to a part of Jinwoo's asset once decision on divorced has been finalized.

Continuing its mind-blowing premiere, third episode of Memories of the Alhambrapicks up from the hero’s journey to acquire Hostel Bonita.

Back stories have also been revealed on how the heroine and her family ended up in Granada. Notably, it is the beguiling confrontation of the hero to his rival that ultimately takes away all the surprises.

 

Brace yourself for exciting future adventures of Memories of the Alhambra as these three key moments from episode three unveil a gripping sojourn to be tackled by the hero of the story.

1. 10 BILLION WON PROPOSAL

Finding out that the patent to the VR game is developed by genius programmer, Jung Se Joo (Chanyeol) sets to Hostel Bonita. Yoo Jin Woo (Hyun Bin) moves quickly to set a deal in motion.

He meets Jung Hee Joo (Park Shin Hye), the owner of the hostel, and names 10 billion won as the price to acquire it. However, she has to make a decision right away or a billion will be deducted every 10 minutes if the agreement is left unsigned.

Pressed with time, she tries getting the opinion of her family members but to no avail. She also gets locked out inside the rest room. Luckily, Jin Woo checks on what’s taking her so long. He takes her to the hospital when she fainted while freeing herself from being locked inside the rest room.

With an offer she can’t refuse, Hee Joo accepts Jin Woo’s proposal to sell Hostel Bonita — unaware that their family’s rundown hostel holds the patent of the breakthrough VR game her brother created.

Jin Woo continuously discovers the amazing features of the game, like special effects, that is only present in the virtual world. He also chances upon a game character based on Hee Joo’s forgotten dream of playing classical guitar.

2. BACK STORIES

Happy on the unexpected blessing, Hee Joo rushes to deliver the news to her family. All those hardships she suffered to make the ends meet in the last 12 years are finally coming to an end.

Meanwhile, Cha Hyung Suk (Park Hoon) receives the news that Se Joo is missing. He confronts his wife (Jin Woo’s first wife) about her chance encounter with her ex-husband. He then receives a phone call from Jin Woo to meet up to settle the challenge he initially refused when he was just a beginner in the game.

Exchanging icy remarks, the two engage in a sword fight. The story reveals that physical contact while on a game would mean deduction to the player’s level. After a few sword wielding and alternate hits between them, Jin Woo kills Hyung Suk’s character in the game, and walks out to catch his flight back to Barcelona.

3. THE UNEXPECTED DEATH

Hee Joo sends off Jin Woo since the latter fails to show up for the dinner she requested to thank him for buying the hostel. Physically drained, he sleeps like a log upon arriving in Barcelona.

He wakes up and finds a few missed calls from his secretary. When he returns the call, he receives a shocking news — Hyung Suk was found dead sitting on a bench in the place where they last had an AR game duel.

 

 

 

MEMORIES OF THE ALHAMBRA EPISODE 3 AFTERTHOUGHTS

On its third serving, the thin line separating the game and reality kicked off the thrilling anticipation for Memories of the Alhambra. The series easily draws any viewer to zone in the two worlds being traversed by the hero.

At some point, Jin Woo feels like everyone’s avatar being cheered on as he explores the AR game along with how it is limned to connect to his own story.

Knowing to push and pull the cryptic and thrilling elements is a specialty of writer Song. So far, it is already evident in establishing where the narrative is going to. With director Ahn’s orchestration, I am honestly scared of how ambitious Memories of the Alhambra is, since it is so polished, surreal, and smartly written. If it falters, it will really break my heart, you see, so hopefully it will not.

I am already piqued on the mystery of how the game seems to be crossing the reality of the characters. If there will be a volunteer team to hunt down where Se Joo is, I am willing to become a tribute to do the job. *chuckles

Memories of the Alhambra is challenging the K-Drama landscape with how strong its goals are on the picture it is aiming to achieve. Hyun Bin and Park Shin Hye are expected to make the inventive plot soar with conviction.

Opening a whole new world means the explanation of the supernatural roles. Let’s wait and see how Memories of the Alhambra takes on the challenge.

Ep 3: JinWoo did not finish the game with Dr. Cha properly. There was only sign "You Win" and "You Have Obtained Enemy's Points"but Zinu's level remains at 3. Zinu left Dr. Cha dying, and before getting into the Taxi Zinu passed by a statue that looks like a beardy old man (the statue looks creepy to me). 

I think Zinu's weapon is very powerful as it's name an "Assasin's Blade" while Dr. Cha weapon is just a "Monk's Sword". We haven't heard the story where and how did JinWoo get that weapon.

 

Ep. 4 = Several hours later both Zinu and the dying and bleeding Dr. Cha remains on level 3. Dr. Cha then got a proper finish and become a ghost a.k.a the walking dead that reappears with the guitar intro 

 

Q: Who is A, the man on JinWoo phone that sounds like a detective.

It's just my gut feel only.   His first wife seemed so afraid to meet him, I think she cannot help feeling the guilt of marrying his good friend. She mentioned that both of them(her new husband and her) are not exactly living happily everyday because of YJW.    I think it is very awkward to divorce one friend and marry another, if three have been good friends.  But I guess if the story backtracks and shows us how the 3 of them get to where they are today, then it's easier to comprehend, there could be a very good reason or no special reason at all, just YJW was not spending enough time with his ex-wife.   As for the second wife, I doubt there is a character for her (edit to update: i just saw a picture of the second wife under the extras, so she has a role).  Think her existence is just to show that he has 2 failed marriages, to put his "character" in more suspicion that he is not an easy person to deal with?   But personally from my own perception of YJW so far, I would like to think that he has chosen the wrong spouses...    ..cos he seems like a focused person who is passionate about his work but not exactly a mean or unlikable person....possibly a shrewd businessman but still not a person of poor character.  In other words, he is still charming....lolll

 

as far as the story is concerned (up to ep 4), i get it if JW's 2nd wife is just mentioned. But i would want to see more of his 2nd wife. I liked Han Bo Reum in Go Back Couple. It would be a waste of a good actress if she's not utilized.

 

I feel that JW is charming because Hyunbin is. Otherwise he's quite an unpleasant character to be around and sneaky. He sees things his way and pushes on without much consideration. Imo, its Hyunbin's charms and dimples that saves JW from being totally unlikeable

I want to know this too. It bothers me that SJ did not lock his computer. He's a programmer developing a revolutionary game and he leaves his computer unlocked. He even left his hard drives laying around. Eventhough he's on the run, i would assume his desktop would be encrypted, password protected and equipped with many other layers of protection only IT people know. Haha

 I liked that morning scene.

HJ walked the streets of Granada in a relaxed way, bought flowers,

was thinking about JW and then he appeared in the workshop.

And she looked like she missed him.

Even without romance I love the scenes where they are together.

To all PSY fans I never completed any drama of PSY — I can start but I can never finish any of her drama except the film Annoying Brother where I like her there - mature and not too cute! Her acting was so spot on in every scene.  How I felt about her acting in Annoying Brother gave me same vibes here in MOA but she will be in lot of trouble concentrating with Hyunnie! hahaaha! In her past drama I just can’t take her acting especially Heir. I humbly apologize to her fans. But in Annoying Brother and this MOA — so love her acting!  I hope it will continue the way I wanted. 

 

Hyunnie my bias can make anyone be mesmerized in acting with him. May it be battle of who is the handsome and better looking; or I will get what I want, or just acting our with him in talking with him in phone.  Or when he is trying to push you away - like not to get married. hahahha.  He is such as baby giant too! Can’t it be weekend already? 

 

I can’t distinguish the AR and DR already — I think Se Joo and Dr Cha are somewhere alive and Se Joo still running away.  Daebaek drama series. It’s okay it will exceed rating to my other bias Drama Mr Sunshine and HDMP. hehehe! 

 

@katakwasabi for sure Se Joo did a high  level protection but he trust his sister also to access basic things but he never know that JW will come and JW is a programmer or IT specialist; so he really knows.

I don't know Han Bo Reum but I am happy to see her act as JW's second wife to make the story more exciting. 

 

Perhaps I have met worse business people in real life so JW does not come across all that unpleasant to me.  Can you refresh my memory what he did that appeared sneaky?  I think as a venture capitalist, he has to keep a lot of information in confidential status and do his due diligence to check stuff, maybe I miss out the part of him being sneaky.   And I agree that HyunBin playing this role adds the charm to the character, if it is an actor I dislike, it could be another story.....

Did they mention what is their game character's job class/roles? If we base it from their weapons, Zinu is an assassin, Dr. Cha is a monk, Emma who plays an instrument is a female bard/minstrel. I want Zinu to level up so he can talk to Emma. In games it's a good support character to a fighter. They can do buffs, raise HP and increase damage etc through their music. By the way monks have resurrection skills and that Dr. Cha keeps on coming back.

the way he left house in flashback, i don't think he'd bother with anything. he was already stressed out

So SJ left his backpack purposely on the train for JWto recover later as there is something  inside there (memo) to connect to him. As  seen on episode 1 SJ just took something  from the  backpack, turned his back and the sound of gunshot was heard. My point is, SJ knows he’s in trouble, he’s on the run and he wants JW to rescue him as that memo led JW to his workstation in his room. Did JW uncover something while he was rummaging through his files and all besides Marco’s name and number? As for the characters Emma and Zenu, if they are allies in the AR world, then I must say the lyrics on the OST #1 Star(Little Prince) is on point. I’m just intrigued with the title Star (Little Prince) though. What does it connote? Why not “I’l Lead You With a Light” instead? I’m, sorry, but, why do I have a premonition that HJ died in real life and they’re in a fantasy side of the story as the way JW recounting the story and the way the lyrics of the ost implied? Please, tell me I’m all wrong. One thing I love about this drama is because it is real first before it is virtual and fantasy unlike W Two Worlds. I want it to start like that and end like that . . . everything else is just a dream.

This! I am glad someone echoed my thoughts. The time leap is something that keeps on lingering in my mind primarily because of the title, ''memories". And also that JW is narrating the events in first person singular. At times it feels like the whole drama is a reminiscent, and something majorly wrong happened to all the people close to JW including HeJoo, leaving him alone.

Oh ,what? Do you really think hee joo is died?nooooo sob sob .I will never think that way.But i hope the writer will not make it happen. Anyone notice that in ep 3 where the arrow shoot at jw.Before that they showed one of the security guard check jw office with flesh light in his hand.After that scene jw game is stop for temporary.Why it stop?I mean he play many time and never happen before.Am i right?  Can be possible that someone is break in office and hack the game or the AR game is wrong itself and make CEO cha zoombi

Actually,  it was said on that scene that there was a low internet connection that the arrows were suspended midway. By the way, thank you for your reaction. Sorry for being paranoid. Of course HJ will not die. She’s the main cast, what am I thinking? I still have to see the emotional healing of JW brought about  by the power of HJ’s unconditional love to him which is going to happen in reality. Their romance is just budding couldn’t wait for the culmination.

You're right. I was just hopping that there was story behind that weapon; for example: "This Assasin blade will turn your enemy into your forever ghost - you can exchange weapon at Alcazaba Cafe to prevent future regret" .. something like that.
