@pad-hari  You have listed all the reasons the CPrincess and father has to die including the rest of the family. I think ince he Cporince memory returns he'll put two and two together amnd relizes it was his FIL that killed his mother having her push off a cliff . I think there would be more blood shed in the palace

I don’t think they will kill the crown princess because this isn’t a classic sageuk. She might have been put to death otherwise because I understand that all women in the palace belong to the king probably excepting the wives of princes. It’s the first time I have seen a drama set in historical time where the legal wife of a royal living in the palace actually got impregnated with someone else’s child. It’s probably why I was so surprised from the start. Even the most vicious women engaged in harem politics that I’ve seen never dishonored themselves by getting impregnated by anyone except the king or their royal husband so this is weird territory for me. I’m sure it happened sometimes but this is my first drama seeing it.

I think in the end they should just depose and exile her. Maybe she can get her happy ending that way though I can’t say I care much. Perhaps if MY is really her baby’s daddy, then he can join her in exile to atone for his crimes. It would be a win win for both since alternatively they both could have died.

I just want HS and WD to be back together by the next episode. SIGH.

Seeing that it is pre-produced, no chance of leaks of footage. Haha

So what happens to the baby? If it’s a boy it’s liability letting him live because of all political machinations and factions of the court. They could adopt a girl out I guess? Not really as important.

I don't know...she is pregnant with another man's baby, that is an automatic death sentence. :(  I think that the Crown Prince can forgive MY's sins, since the crown prince witnessed the murder of MY's father and family.  The Crown Prince can understand MY's anger and the fact that he was manipulated by the PM.  Since HS is the baby's aunt, they might raise the child as their own, but not adopt, if it is a boy; therefore,  he would never be in line for the throne.

In the past consorts and concubines have taken lovers with the knowledge that both would die if anyone ever found out. I am sure a few had babies that were not the King's; however, unlike in this scenario, they were at least sleeping with the King.  The crown princess was reckless because she knew that her father planned to kill the Crown Prince and who would be able to dispute the baby's legitimacy.  I think MY might love the crown princess; however, she does not love him, she does have feelings for him, but I don't think it is love. The reason for my statement is if the CP would have shown her a little attention, she would have been all his and against her father.  I get the feeling that the PM was not loving towards his daughter but used her a a pawn.  I feel a little sorry for the crown princess, but then I don't because she, out of spite and frustration, went along with her father's treasonous plots.  To end any insurrection attempts, the crown princess, her father, mother, brother??? and his accompanists all should be put to death.   It is harsh, but it is life.

You mean the Crown Princess's baby? Since the baby isn't the Crown Prince's child and the Crown Princess committed treason by sleeping with someone outside the marriage the child will most likely be exiled. Send away with some nanny. Maybe even living with another family if his/her mother (the Crown Princess) isn't alive anymore (if she is executed which I don't think will happen in this drama I guess).

I think he will remember everything when he sees that hair ribbon HS tied around his arm when they were kids. He has a very strong emotional attachment to that red ribbon (he keeps it a drawer in his private rooms) as it was the only thing he had of his "lost" love for 16 years. When he remembers that night he will remember what his father-in-law did to HR's father, what happened to his mother, and so forth.

I would love for HS and LY to live happily in the palace,  but also

for MY and princess to live a calm and happy life in a small house with

a garden  full of flowers, which the princess mentioned.

I have had an itching feeling that princess will miscarry. I don’t remember if it was last week but she held her tummy in stress and then this week again when seeing CP. All I know is I can’t stand VP and I am ready to take my torch out, start a mob, and watch him go down cause he is probably the kdrama villain I hate the most at the moment.

Me too I feel that she will loose her baby due to stress.... she still the same manipulating lady who insisted that the baby is the flesh and blood of the king and crown prince, I hope that LY and HS deserves to be happy after all they have gone through.

tvN  explaining about production team.. such as filming, place, art, lighting, digital color compensation, and clothes difference between songjoo village and palace.. and about soundtrack(music) & editing too~(from one of  the comments on this instagram)

My comment: Why do they even try to explain about editing??? it was a big big minus/sloppy editing

I am going to try and get my hands on that photoessay.

I have always assumed this would end happily for WD/HS (sorry I can't get used to their birth names because so much of the drama has been spent with them using their assumed identities).  This is not a historical drama yeah?  So it's not like 7DQ where the writer had to spin something so it stays true historically as well as provide a token happy ending for the OTP.    I can't see the writer giving us a tragic ending for our OTP because she doesn't have the entanglements of having to weave it into a historical framework.

Question for me is whether MY and the CPrincess will get their happy ending...although she seems more invested in the relationship than he is.  I get the feeling she is terribly lonely, like ice princess Elsa (in fact that was what the actress described her as during the pre-premiere VLive).  What bugged me was why she would hire Assassin 2 to maim MY when he was about to leave... Unless in her desperation to keep him by her side because she liked his company (I still don't think he's the father - it would dent HS's view of him being a righteous man) - she did lament, "why does everyone leave me??".  MY's festering arrow wound seems to be a premonition to his demise.  Someone mentioned that CPrincess may die during childbirth which I feel is a less gruesome way for her to depart because the alternative of being tried for treason (exile?  death by hanging/decapitation/poison?) isn't particularly appealing to me.  And if MY isn't the daddy and he dies, the other 2 daddy options left for her aren't fleshed out enough for me to wish her and baby's daddy "all the best in your future life".  I find her life really pitiful.  She was used by her own father as a pawn for his desire for power, married to a man who never loved her, is trapped in a life she never wished for - so tragic.  I feel like death would atone her adulterous behavior and give the baby a chance at a new life free from that stain.  The old LY may have wanted revenge and to kill off her whole family (including the baby and probably her doofus of a brother) for her treasonous behavior (remember his ominous warning to her?) but I cannot see the new LY/WD doing the same.

Just thinking.....if MY has arranged an escape journey for himself and his sister, then maybe either WD or Hong could arrange that somehow arrange that the C Princess take Hong's place to go with MY so that they both (and the baby) could be saved at the end in spite of the evil things that both have done.

I was finally able to watch episode 11 and 12. :) And just want to share my thoughts.

Finally we have some movement. I find it a tad too late, even though there are 3 episodes left I would've hoped for Lee Yul  to return to the palace maybe 1 episode earlier. Because now it already feels rushed. But I will wait and see what happens.

As for episode 11: just like with episode 9 it was the weakest episode this week - with maybe two scenes which stood out emotionally. I feel like episode 11 is like a - as we call it in German - a monday product. The first product in the production with many flaws while still working okay-ish.

I find it weird that not even the viewer gets an idea whether Lee Yul has fully recovered his memory and what he did find out in Hanyang. As I said before the characters don't need to know but the viewer should've an idea. So it's a bit frustrating. Even though his actions - to take on the role of Won Deok and deciding to stay with Yi Seo no matter what tells me he has regained at least parts of his memories, definitely enough not wanting to return. I think the drama does a nice job of showing that Hong Shim is the one who gives Won Deok a way out by saying there might be a family which is looking for him. And in the end they actually come to full term and decide to stay together. And just like that they're separated. It was well done.

Also can we give a little applause for the young assassin/guard who takes Moo Yeon away from Kim Cha Eon's house to whereever so they can get Yi Seo? Also let's cheer for Kim Hyuk who sides with Lee Yul in the end of episode 12. I'm all in for bromance.

tenor.gif

But dang Moo Yeon being so cruel and yet honest to his sister about Lee Yul. But also not completely telling the truth because it's like she was left behind by Lee Yul which was not the case. Like can we please have Yi Seo starting her own investigation? Like we need to get to the point where she understands Won Deok = Lee Yul = boy she loved since she was kid = and who loved her since he was kid.

I'm also not really happy about Mr Dimples. *sigh* His writing is just messy and I find it unbearable that just when Lee Yul isn't there anymore he is hitting on Yi Seo. I'm like so done. She is being alone for 5 minutes and he is just "Hi! Here I got you a fake name, so in case the Crown Prince is looking for you he won't find you but I'm not telling you about my true motive. I'm such a smart boy." .... Ugh... Really? Me:

tenor.gif

Sorry I like Mr Dimples but the writer doesn't know on which side he is supposed to be.

And Kim Cha Eon being so fast to get the Crown Prince and bringing him back to solidify his own power. That dude is so quick the King  just blinks and doesn't even have one plan executed completely. Everyone needs to step up their game if they want to bring down Kim Cha Eon.

Also I like that the Crown Princess was at least - while playing along - honest about their relationship not being great. Except the important truth that her baby isn't Lee Yul's. That of course she forgot. I mean she is in a deep mess. Like when she heard about Moo Yeon being gone and how she said everyone is leaving her. Man, I don't pity her but she is just in this swamp and she is sinking and sinking.

I understand the frustration with Lee Yul and his memories since it looks like he comes back to the palace and is under control of Kim Cha Eon. Again we don't know how much he knows. He apparently hasn't regained his full memory yet though. He gets flashbacks here and there. And I think something deep inside of him tells him something is off about Kim Cha Eon and the Crown Princess. I even thought for a moment he is actually playing them - just like the Crown Princess suggested - and then I thought he might've fallen back into old patterns. In the palace he was pushed into a role he never wanted, where Kim Cha Eon told him to cry for the last time after his mother passed away/was murdered. So I thought he was emotionally damaged again and not able to act.

But I think the scene in which Lee Yul recites from the books and basically telling Kim Cha Eon: look you think just because I don't have my full memories I can't act. But I have knowledge so here you go.

On a sidenote: I like that Lee Yul comes to question the luxury he is experiencing while his people are not having the same comfort. I appreciate it but did we need 10 episodes in that village for him to realize it? I don't think so.

But the second to last scene in episode 12 proves that Lee Yul really hasn't all the memories, so what needs to happen for him to remember? Must he remember Yi Seo first? What must we do to finally get Lee Yul fully back so he can actually do something about what's happening in the palace right now? And for him to have the woman he loves by his side?

I love that Lee Yul is crying in this scene because it's his first time crying since his mother died. So saying goodbye to the woman he wants hurts his heart. It was a wonderful scene for sure.

And then the last scene... ugh... these two. 3 more episodes and then you will be together. But suffering comes first. Episode 12 definitely the better episode this week. :)
