Hello everyone! 

 

I’m elated to know that Pillow Book is now being filmed. I am a big fan of Eternal Love. I’ve lost count how many times I have rewatched it. LOL   I fell in love  with the story and the characters and the actors and actresses who played them, including Dillreba and Vengo. So after Eternal Love, I watched some of the movies and dramas they had done together. Naturally, I also read Pillow Book and for a long time had been wishing that it will be filmed as a drama with Dilreba and Vengo reuniting as Feng Jiu and Donghua. Finally, wish granted! I am so thankful and very excited. 

 

Pillow Book was a fun read although there were heartbreaking parts in it. Still, those sad moments only served to make the happy moments more precious. The most important part is that it has a happily ever after ending as fairytales go. Also, it helps that I already watched Eternal Love when I read it as it was easy to imagine Dilreba and Vengo playing Feng Jiu and Donghua in my mind. Reading the romantic parts, their kisses and lovemaking, made me blush to the roots of my hair.   I hope that those would be included in the drama and would be done artistically, passing the approval of the tv review board. 

 

I’m grateful to everyone who has been posting updates of the filming. I shall be checking this forum every now and then from hereon.

Me too!! I am imagining reba and vengo when i was reading the book  

so happy that they are the same actor and actress to play the role, otherwise it whould feel weird? And i would probably not watch it.

 

and yeah, i hope the romantic scenes will be done artistically too, i hate for those to be not included in the drama.  Still, reba and vengo have strong chemistry, even by just staring

I say there is a pretty good chance that Yang Mi will make a cameo as Bai Qian. Not too sure about Ye Hua though. We probably need to wait a few more months for a mini trailer

Am i the only one who DIDN’T imagine Vengo & Reba as DHFJ when reading The Pillow Book?  I mean, i LOVED watching them in Eternal Love, and of course i’m super happy that they’re acting the leads in this drama... But i didn’t have them in my imagination. I imagined... well, other people.  And i think i’ve written about this to death in previous posts, but it’s because the DHFJ in the book is so very, very, VERY different from in Eternal Love. This is actually one of the many reasons why i am sooo looking forward to watching Vengo & Reba in this true adaptation of The Pillow Book! I know they look great together. I know they have insane chemistry. I really want to see them act the REAL DHFJ! It will be much more serious, much more intense, much more passionate and also much more heartbreaking. DHFJ in Eternal Love were sweet but also kinda... silly, iykwim. I’m a book purist - don’t flame me!

Hi, new to this forum here. I just went back a few pages from this forum. I always thought that in the pillow book with Reba and vengo, it would continue from when she became queen and their last encounter.

But from what I read, it's going off the books and not what they experienced in peach blossoms? Which is great!

My only hope is that we get to see mark Chao, at least for a few seconds, when the book starts out with Bai qian and ye hua's extravagant wedding.

I am also looking forward for the true adaptation of the novel.  The characters in the  novel are really different from the old ten miles drama (DH and FJ).  Honestly, i am a bit worried since the expectation for the pillow book is so highh considering the success of the 1st one. Vengo in my opinion is not really that of the great actor  and for this series he will have to play different roles, i am hoping he will prove me wrong  but still whatever will be the output, i will start and finish this drama.
