I'm quite busy this days and im quite surprise that the discussion here move towards Dr Oh and its somehow cant resist myself to share my own opinion.  I'm sorry for the sudden chip in. 

 

Im prefer Dr Joo but Dr Oh is the better choice at the current time. It is because the late Dr Lee insurance money scandal shows exactly that its tough to be a good man in the high position without being fully prepared, Director lee potraited as a good director and a ethical doctor. If the accusation fabricated, its show that the director that didnt align with the management will be outed by dirty trick but if the accusation is true, its mean that pressure/influence of the position at one point will leads the good guy to did a wrong thing
Dr Joo is not yet ready for the position but hopefully the election result manage to boost his confidence and until the next election he can be more prepared

 

About Dr Oh, she was shown as the strong women from the start. she a doctor's daughter, sangook alumni and the 1st female chief of neurology. she have the path set for her but then its also contribute to the elitism attitude because she never experience the ups and down. But the downside about elitism is they naively think they are above all and everything is done by their way so that when they met their equally strong opponent such as chebol world, they will at least show a fight because they always thin they can win . The reconstruction report already indicate elitism and seniority as hidden source of the profit loss so the stronger Dr Oh is more suitable person to lead this ugly fight rather than power hungry Deputy Director Dr Kim or an outsider like Dr Joo. 

 

Up until this moment, the writer already shows that she done a lot of research into this areas and her idea and conflict is a solid issues in the privatisation of the service area but as someone who has a bit knowledge in change management, I cant help to disagree with the way of reasoning for the characters behavior. 
As one of the example, Dr Oh can already indicate as an elite and arrogant by showing her background and she rejects the unprofitable patient but claiming her as an elite just because she choose her team is wrong. I cant talk for other country, but for my country, doctors only can be a certified specialised doctor after a few years being a doctor and they cant straight away be a specialised doctor after finish the residency.  Many aim to the specilisation that make more money but to be ones, no only because the the area is harder,the process will take a few years to obtain the qualification and the existing qualified specialised doctor is limited and they cant take many students. this more competitive areas examples are neurology, surgery and heart specialist. so actually i disagree ith the statement that choosing the best to the neurology is a elitism act. When you has a right to choose who you want to take, i dont think its wrong to choose the best of the best.
In a more risky specialisation, all actions is about the patients life. one mistake, intentional or not will end up with the incident like death in leukemia patient case for the cancer doctors as shown in early episode. while there is always second or third chance in other work, doctors job usually dont have that luxury.

Makes me think if the scene where he brought Nighty home is art imitating life.  JSW didn’t have to channel any acting there.

I haven't watched the episode 11 yet but saw the preview and it seems that president Gu is about to be put in a difficult situation (like losing his position). I have the impression that the chairman is trying to get rid of Gu but since there was so subtitle, there is no real guarantee. And previews can be misleading.

it seems that the autopsy has been denied but Dr Oh was ordered to do an inspections instead to determine the death which is strange. Apparently Mr Gu is the person behind it and of coz it comes from the CEO.  Dr No Eul as usual went straight to Mr Gu and asked him.

 

Something suspicious on her death ....must be something to do with Hwajeong Group.

I found it a bit hard to relax during this episode, too tense! I'm just waiting for everything to be revealed haha, but it is really an eye-opener to how easy it is to cover up things like this and maybe not doubt at all that something was off. I'm glad Jin-Woo is brave enough not to close his eyes. It will be interesting to see what happens tmr.

 

Anyway, i enjoyed this nice moment~

I just read k-netizens' comment about ep 11 and I’m really tired of it. GSH-LNE interaction only takes a really small portion of the screen time (and I feel like it doesn’t even ruin the main plot so far) yet people bitching about it like it does. I wonder why that small thing affects people so much? Life has a very good story yet it is constantly reduced to LNE-GSH interaction by them. There are so many interesting things happened and but people keep focusing and complaining about LNE-GSH.

 

I’m glad I can find really nice and enlightening comments here. Sorry about my rant

Gosh this knetizen! What is so loathsome about that ‘couple’. Is it because the drama showed the closeness between LNE and JW and SW first? 

 

In the preview, hearing the VO, I can sense the sound of jealousy from the conversation between LNE and JW... probably both of them didn’t realize that they ‘love’ each other, because so far (before MR Gu and the reporter exist in their respective relationship) there was none close to them both.

My opinion is more a betrayer - not jealous lover betrayer, rather your close friend for 15 years/person (maybe closer than mum) choose to side with some stranger - Mr.Gu - who could be view by some as the doctors enemy. She's his friends for 15 years, same school, same hospital, close with both brothers - know most of both brothers lowest point in life - i think in his view Dr.No Eul shouldn't have come with Mr.Gu - taking Mr. Gu side, betraying him. 

 

after episode 11 I think it's pretty clear - LNE & JW are purely friends. Even before Mr.Gu come in the picture. JW already sees how SW looks at NE. And JW likes the reporter. All of this love line is so little in the whole scheme of thing. Most clear/prominant is JW love line with the reporter. Dr.LNE & President Gu may be intrigue about each other, but so far they haven't develop any loving thing. Most of their walk & talk are about the hopsital, closest thing for now is the start of friendship - Mr. Gu care to comfort when Dr.NE is crying, and so is she in the elevator this episode 11 - telling him not to worry, it will pass.  Purely sharing opinions, thoughts, sharing words of comfort...and in this kind of drama, that's probably it. 

 

I like how writer handle SW & NE rough patch.  Before anything they are good friends who knows & cares about each other for a longtime. they will get pass/through it

@Ha Tinh Nhi I really agree with your perspective of YJW-LNE-GSH relationship. I also feel like GSH-LNE is kinda platonic so far, it's still in the friendship zone.

Lol I just think KNetz is too protected of Mr Gu. No girl except Bae DooNa is worthy of him haha. I don't hear they're making a fuss about YJW with reporter ? It's like, ok everyone else can go marry each other, but leave JSW alone lol.

This episode is too serious. Need some light hearted moment. I just loveee YJW relationship with his boss Lee Dong Soo (Kim Won Hae).
