[Drama 2018] Something In The Rain / Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food, 밥 잘 사주는 예쁜 누나

I really like the pairing of this couple. Their relationship seemed to be bringing out the otherwise less preferred sides of each other.

 

1) JH was questioned by friends/colleagues about his reticent behaviour in professing his feelings to the mysterious lady (they had no idea that was JA).  His friends/colleagues were puzzled by this behaviour; perhaps that's because it wasn't his usual style. He was teased by friends/colleagues to be a player; suggesting many other relationships.  That can't come from someone who is usually reticent.  I like it that he was careful with JA which suggested how much she meant to him.  It also suggested that he was willing to go with her pace not insisting his. 

 

2) I like it that JA has become less of a pushover and is willing to take a stand to protect herself.  Her standing up against her ex-bf directly and not her usual passive-aggressive manner (putting lipstick and stockings in his car without his knowledge) really showed character growth for me.  Her standing up to her boss about his unwelcome advances was great too.

 

3) Although JA had difficulty resisting people who tried to take advantage of her, I like it that JA was truthful about her feelings when she was with JH.  When he hurt her with his words and actions (he did it out of jealousy to spite her, thinking that she had reconciled with ex-bf), she called him out. The scene at the restaurant (where he later told her she was prettier than SY) was so good. He was seething in jealousy thinking that she had reconciled with ex-bf, he spoke to her in a sarcastic tone and she pointed it out to him, he tried to deny it but she was assertive and did not back down.

 

Finally,  I like it that with JA, JH showed so many different sides of him.  He can be playful, serious, passionate, uncertain, young and mature when he is with her.  Very interesting character.  I would like to see how his character will develop and grow from this relationship.

K-DRAMA REACTION: PRETTY NOONA WHO BUYS ME FOOD | EPISODE 2

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. I’m not sure if I can finish this adorable drama alive. It’s like every single scene that this OTP graces, I am out of breath. It’s just the second hour of the series and I already gave them my full support. And if it’s true that the drama was inspired by the Song-Song couple, then could the main leads Jung Hae-in and Son Ye-jin be our next Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo?

Watched episode 4 in Korean with Chinese subtitles last night listening to the music sung in English. Felt crazy but at least I found a way to see it here. I don't understand much Korean or read any Chinese but had a great time. This OTP is lovely. I smile just thinking about them

Me too @ihyw I watched the raw eps too. And can watch ep 4 many times. They are lovely. I can’t wait for eng subs - but then again, I can. Them - just being together. Heart flutters everywhere

As a 2NE1 fan, as soon as it started playing, I got up and started twerking a bit.  I couldn't help myself, that song is such a bop, and as a noona myself, I just went with the flow. Yes, the music in this drama has been so fitting and so fun!

I just had to watch last week's eps right after I came home :). WOW, these eps exceeded my expectations, even the previews. I mean, not many drama eps actually show everything that was in the preview. So far, I saw all the preview scenes in the actual eps.

Anyone knows the song that plays whenever our main leads do something cute or quirky, it doesn’t have actual words as lyrics. For example, it plays at 18:40 in ep 4 when Jin ah is already driving to work and Joon Hee calls that he’s coming to pick her up so she parks the car.

been meaning to join the group discussion on this drama for some time now! haha! anyways ... i am truly enjoying the show ...and the OTP alot! been a longtime fan of son yejin! probably have watched all of her work! and she is the cutest here! hahaha!

jung haein is to die for! and this role ...its like he is just breezing through the character!! i am totally in love! hahaha! well ...been in love with him since "WYWS"! 

i like that the drama didn't take it long for the OTP to openly declare to each other their attraction! i just can't help think that like in real life ... when too much of a good thing happens, somewhere along the way, something will come up to spoil the fun! 

watching this with utmost interest ... and so much love!
