Reason:  it has this twisted, wicked, naughty feel to it, just what I like  Perfect OST for this drama

 

Drama: Catch The Ghost 

Title: Tae Hyun - Highlight (OST3)

Reason:  this song makes me energetic after a long and boring day at work, if I were to describe the feeling it gives me: when everything sucks and you get so fed up with it, you take a deep breath, give a big F U to youf problems and go have a beer with a a friend

Lee Seol did not sing the OST`s in the drama. It is Sondia`s voice in all the songs.

 

The drama had many good soundtracks. I really like that the characters used the OSTs in their stories. That`s the advantage when they are musicians.

 

I don`t follow the kpop at all. I never want to listen a second time a song after I heard it once but I love OSTs. Many beautiful songs.

As much as I had my gripes with My Country: The New Age, in the end I still loved the series and I think it remains one of my favourite shows for 2019 with a soundtrack that complemented it so well.

 

'Flavour of life' is probably one of my favourites from the OST. It's such a serene and poignant track: starting with a simple piano medley, but when the string crescendo comes in with the traditional Hageum it's just wow. The balance between modern and traditional strings makes the track sound so pretty and really throws you into the Goryeo-Joseon era, especially accompanied with the show's beautiful cinematography.

 

 

Another one of my favourites is an obligatory ballad from Jung Seung Hwan, 'Because it's you'. It's such a sweet, yet sad, and nostalgia inducing listen. The lyrics are also devastatingly heartbreaking in the context of the show.  I personally feel like the track does drag a bit halfway when listening to it standalone, but the use of it inside the show was mostly fantastic.

 

 

There's other tracks in that are great like 'River Flower' and 'Lost Castle', but I think these two are the ones that really throws me back into the drama when they come up in my Spotify playlist.

Let me start with ' One Night Spring'. One Night Spring simply has the best OST ever, since it has not one, not two, not three, BUT FOUR amazing OSTs, that will all put you in special mood. Every song is a masterpiece, Rachael Yamagata did something amazing by providing so many special songs to this drama. Just listen to the lyrics and let the magic do its work.
