hi hi~ i'm not really sure whether there will be loveline in this drama since usually crime-investigative dramas do not have romance genre in it, but there could be hints of it between Kang Dong Soo and Yoo Shi Hyun... since Kang Dong Soo needs YSH's ability to prevent further crimes and YSH needs KDS to be with her when they capture the criminals... so there might be, but there might not be any too, just like how Voice / Signal / Secret Forest does not really have any loveline in the drama >_< But according to the story description released by the scriptwriter weeks before the drama premiere, they did indicate there might be some romance between the leads, but i cannot really guarantee it till it actually happens :)

its my pleasure ^ ^ oh and i really enjoyed Something in the Rain too :) so I hope you are able to find Sketch as a drama that is nice to watch too :D

though some of the parts may be draggy because the drama still needs the time to tie up the loose ends as well as to fit everything in 1 hour episodes :D

Actually I felt the opening of an emotional line in EP4 between Kang Dong Soo and Yoo Shi Hyun.   When KDS learned who killed Kim Do Jin’s wife, he wondered about his choice to save his girlfriend and experienced such conflicted feelings.   As they talked he could feel the heavy burden YSH had to carry on because of her ability.  
Then EP5  the scene of KDS saving YSH showed they were forging relationship: from how YSH looked at (dying like that can be very scary) and how KDS talked to her ( I saw the translation saying ‘You look terrible’ but in Korean it sounded like KDS felt more personal with her.).  Even if it will not lead to a full blown romance during the drama time, at least they would help each other’s pain/burden.  
Also in EP4  I liked how PDnim showed an invisible tragic connection/line between KDS who looked at the photo of KDJ and his wife at the cemetery and KDJ who was behind him under shadow.

not going to lie eps 5 and 6 (except the end part where the bomb explodes) is disappointing. I feel like this drama is getting TOO slow. Also honestly, the writer needs to cut off the long-length-pointless conversation in this drama. I personally watched a lot of action/thriller/crime series like criminal minds, NCIS, CSI, and etc. This kind of drama need to be precise in each scene. Eps 5-7 are way too draggy. This is may be subjective. but scenes like : SH & her friends asking for coffee and food to DS, SH talking with DS about wolves, Showing us every single face in the room is SO UNNECESSARY to begin with. It makes the drama looks so inconsistent. Makes me and my friend who watches it sleepy. I hope everything will be improved or people will get bored (Eps.7 hits the lowest rating tho).

For now the only reason for me to keep watching is the dark angel side: Tae Joon and Do Jin. Every their scene have a significant point. Their stories is interesting even if they didn't talk at all lol

I have watched Episode 7 and the highlight of this episode was the opening scene where YSH fights it out with Nam Sun Woo and her sketches starting to change due to Jang Tae Joon's interference.

 

And I am also curious about one thing, why would Jang Tae Joon deem Yoo Shi Hyun as a very precious person? Is there some sort of past relating to him and Yoo Shi Hyun? Like what is Yoo Shi Hyun to Jang Tae Joon though?

Furthermore, he doesn't want to rely on YSH's sketches but he feels that she is a very precious person that is worth for him to go to that extent to save YSH and change her sketches' future.

Hmm...

 

As always, good work Lee Sun Bin ah~~ but I have to admit, while Episode 5 and 6 has dragged a little with the saving YSH part, I feel that the scriptwriter and the production team could do much more to improve Episode 7, there were indeed a few parts that was quite draggy and boring.

 

But I am also starting to like the interaction between Yoo Shi Hyun and Kang Dong Soo, despite it could add onto the drama being boring, but it also feels refreshing to look at how they converse with each other.

I will still hang on to watch the drama for Lee Sun Bin since it is her first female lead role, but this drama isn't doing her justice by not displaying more of her awesome acting skills. Missing 9 and Criminal Minds seemingly makes her look better despite being a co-actress.

The production team better deal with the inconsistency as well as to solidify the entire storyline and to make it look more promising and interesting, if not more people will start dropping this drama.

The episode opens with the flashback of Kim Do Jin and Jung Tae Joon's conversation of having to kill KDS' fiancee and as well as the Principle of Causality.

We are then shown YSH driving to KDS' location and YSJ calling his sister to tell her to wait for them to arrive at the location. YSH refuses to listen and tells him that her sketch will never be wrong and that it would take them 2 hours to reach the location, with tears in her eyes as she felt that she has to accept her fate if it will happens this way. YSJ, feeling frustrated, have no choice but to wait for them to arrive at the location.

KDS is brought to where KDJ is being held at, Nam Sun Woo describes the scenario where they would be in when they face off each other and he asks why KDJ is so calm right now. KDJ says that he is thankful as there is people in the world who are better off dying and that Nam Sun Woo is an example for that. Nam Sun Woo points a gun at headpoint and asks KDJ if he is taking all of this as a joke.

KDJ tells Nam Sun Woo that he has a gift for him in the fridge and Nam Sun Woo's men took it out to find a bag in the fridge. Nam Sun Woo is flustered and ask how would he know that he would be brought here, we are then shown a flashback where JTJ has given KDJ a bag that would help him and asks him to get to the hideout in advance to put the bag in the fridge. Nam Sun Woo's men then open the bag and realised that there is a bomb that is about to go off.

KDJ deliberately falls to the ground as the bomb goes off, setting the entire storey on fire. He kills Nam Sun Woo's secretary and knocks faint Nam Sun Woo.
As KDJ and KDS is about to face off in another confrontation, YSH arrives and holds a gun at them, threatening that she will shoot them if they do not stop.
Just then, Nam Sun Woo attacks back at YSH and while she is engaged with fighting Nam Sun Woo, KDS goes to chase after KDJ instead of helping YSH.

Nam Sun Woo manages to knock YSH to the ground but YSH breaks free and she saw the fridge that resembles the one in the sketch where she would be lying beside it while dying.
Nam Sun Woo gets up and continues to fight YSH.

KDS chases after KDJ that is walking off into the distance.
Nam Sun Woo gets a wooden block to hit YSH and tries to strangle YSH with the wooden block.
KDJ stops for a while with KDS behind him and KDS looks back at the building that is on fire and hesitates between chasing after KDJ or to save YSH.
Just then, YSH manages to grab a splintered block to stab into Nam Sun Woo's arm. As Nam Sun Woo struggles to reach a gun that is nearby with YSH on his back trying to knock him faint, he points the gun at YSH's head but he faints from the tighthold.
YSH looks about her surroundings as she manages to knock out Nam Sun Woo.
KDJ continues to walk off and KDS decides to go back to the building on fire.
YSH limps for a while before she fell to the ground, about to faint. Just then, KDS arrives at the scene and lifts up YSH. Nam Sun Woo wakes up and points the gun at KDS, before YSH moves KDS behind her to take the shot. There is then a gunshot heard and we are shown YSJ being worried for his sister and the hacker looking at the sketch.

A drop of blood falls onto the ground and we are shown that it was Nam Sun Woo who got shot to death by KDJ and KDJ walks away after deciding not to shoot at KDS. YSH goes limp in KDS' arms and as KDS brought her to a nearby site, YSH is confused as to the reason that her sketch is wrong this time.
YSJ and the rest manages to arrive at the scene in time and YSJ runs out to ask his sister whether is she alright.

Moon Jae Hyun said that he is relieved that she is alright but that this is the first time that her sketch is different. YSH concludes that there could only be a reason, which is someone else having a stronger power than her who is able to foresee the future and able to change the future.

JTJ is shown tearing off photos of people that KDJ has managed to kill and asks if he is able to trust JTJ fully now. KDJ asks JTJ why would he go through so much to save YSH's life since he thinks even though YSH appears to be a decent person, he feels that YSH could also possibly disrupt their plans. JTJ stares at the photos with a detached look and said that YSH is a very precious person. KDJ, not understanding JTJ's words, look over at JTJ as he leaves the room.

The funeral for KDS's fiancee is finally held and Moon Jae Hyun's team visits him at the funeral, with YSH and the hacker standing behind him in respect.
As YSH steps out to take a break, KDS followed and asks why would she try to take the shot for him. He feels that YSH is somewhat similar to his fiancee, who would choose to do what is right instead of trying to avoid the danger. He tells YSH to think about the people who will be left behind grieving or in pain before she thinks of jumping in front of the gun and risking her life.

YSH rebukes back by asking whether he knows how his fiancee would feel of what he is doing now, by trying to seek revenge for his fiancee. KDS relents and said she is right for telling him what he should do and he walks back to Moon Jae Hyun to tell them that he would join his team, as he feels that YSH would not be able to deal with JTJ and KDJ alone, and that as long as he is with the team, he will not do anything rash as a cop.
The hacker asks if this is right, to accept him into their team, Moon Jae Hyun admits that KDS is like a ticking time bomb but he will be useful for their team if he is with them.

KDS sits in a forlorn corner holding onto his fiancee's scarf as this is the only thing that was left after they cleared out her stuffs. He flashbacks to the moment where his fiancee is trying out the wedding dress and unable to hold back his tears, he holds the scarf while crying. YSH stands in a corner and with tears running down her face as she feels sorry for KDS.

JTJ is at his table, while writing down a name into his notebook, 'Baek Woo Jin', possibly someone who he feels that has to be killed.
We are then shown YSH drawing the sketches again and KDS walks into the hideout and asks when did she start, which is about 40 minutes and that YSH is on the fifth page now, and she is seemingly drawing a violent crime scene. Moon Jae Hyun walks over and recognises the person in the sketch, which seems to be Jang Tae Joon, with someone pointing a gun at headpoint behind him.

The team starts to analyse the sketches and Moon Jae Hyun goes to find Jang Tae Joon while KDS refuses to help out but he decides to go to the building's location in the sketch to find out more clues.
Moon Jae Hyun goes to find Jang Tae Joon and shows him the sketch, Jang Tae Joon refuses to say anything and feigns ignorance. Moon Jae Hyun urges him to remember, but Jang Tae Joon requests to see the entire sketch. He says that he does not believe in YSH's sketches and refuses to cooperate with Moon Jae Hyun, saying that he will protect his life himself. He is determined to not leave his own life on a piece of paper, but Moon Jae Hyun asks him to be careful for the next 3 days.

A guy is shown to be refilling his gun's bullets in a abandoned building and he stands up to point the gun, resembling the guy in the sketch who will be pointing it at Jang Tae Joon.

YSH and the hacker fails to find anything useful and KDS arrives at the hideout. The hacker, being annoyed, chided that the senior members are working very hard in the hideout and the new member is outside taking a walk. KDS walks over and places coffee drinks on their table. The hacker continues to chide KDS that coffee is good, but they are working so hard that they missed their lunchtime and that they're hungry but there is nothing to eat. KDS then brings out a box of donuts which he had bought for them.

The hacker and YSH opens up the box of donuts and starts eating, but the hacker then starts choking on the donut that she is eating. She then spews some of the bits of the donut onto the computer screen, and YSH types the letters onto the computer, resembling the one that is in her sketches. The hacker manages to log into the website by getting the password and they watches the video where a woman is shown to be speaking to someone who is higher status than her. They seem to be talking about something suggestive and the person says that they should have some fun since she is the first woman that would make him want to do it twice with the same woman.

We are then shown the scene where Jang Tae Joon is looking at the busker who is singing out a song on the streets. Jang Tae Joon gives a photo to KDJ and KDJ asks about this person's identity.

The team manages to watch finish the video and they managed to identify the person in the video, which is the son of the chairman of Eunmin Foundation.
The hacker then says that the son is missing for 3 months after the trial, and the woman in the video had taken her own life after the trial. YSH and KDS then visits her house, the woman, who is called Eun Jin. Eun Jin's sister then told them about the trial which ruled in the defendant's favor and she was not able to recognise the people in the sketches, which is the one where a guy is pointing a gun at Jang Tae Joon.

Jang Tae Joon walks on the streets, feeling that someone is following him.

YSH tells KDS that there are only two things they found, and KDS says that her sketches is in a certain order. YSH asks if he is trying to lecture her about her sketches and KDS chided her that anyone would know if they work on a few cases together.

Lieutenant Oh calls YSH to tell her that the son's trial was helmed by her brother.
YSH calls her brother to talk to him regarding Kim Eun Jin's case. YSJ caught by surprise that she knows about the case, comes to visit the team's hideout. YSH asks her brother whether he recognises the guy pointing the gun at Jang Tae Joon. YSJ asks to see the other sketches and he recognises one of the sketches where there is a tattoo on the arm, and we flashback to the courtroom where Kim Eun Jin's case is being dismissed and Detective Baek was the one who encouraged Kim Eun Jin to go to court, but he died 4 years ago apparently.

4 years ago, YSJ was on the way home when Detective Baek goes to find him and tells him that Kim Eun Jin has died and Detective Baek felt that it was his fault because he promised KEJ that he will catch that guy to go into jail. YSJ said that there is no proof and KEJ also died. Detective Baek, frustrated, blames YSJ that he should have tried everything that he can do to win the case. YSJ drops his umbrella and asks Detective Baek what could he have done to resolve the case.
Apparently that was the last time he saw Detective Baek.

Detective Baek's car that caught fire was deemed as an accident because even though there was a charred body, based on the dental record. But KDS feels that Baek Woo Jin may not have died, because Bang Tae Kyung, the person who got off innocent from the trial, went missing on the same day that Baek Woo Jin died, and he went missing 20 hours before Baek Woo Jin's car which caught fire.
The hacker felt the logic is a bit too farfetched and Moon Jae Hyun says that Baek Woo Jin could have switched the dental records and they decided to dig out the corpse that supposedly is Baek Woo Jin's, to compare the teeth with Bang Tae Kyung's dental records.
The body is brought to NCSI to be analysed, as told by YSH.
KDS says that they are not even a step closer to finding out the clues because they still do not know who is the person in the sketches.

Eun Jin's sister approached YSH to pass to her Eun Jin's necklace and told her that the necklace actually went missing before and one day they found it in the mailbox. KDS ask if it was on the day that Baek Woo Jin's car went missing and wanted to bring it back to analyse it. YSH spotted the penguin doll in Eun Jin's sister's bag that resembles the penguin doll in her sketch. Eun Jin's sister said that the penguin doll was found when she visited Eun Jin's memorial. Eun Jin's sister testified that every year there would be a penguin doll left at Eun Jin's columbarium. The investigative team retrieved the CCTV records at the memorial center and they spotted a guy wearing a cap putting the penguin doll at the columbarium.

YSH sighed as they could not find any more clues but she realises something in her sketches, that they are like road signs. KDS does not seem to understand and YSH asks if they realise that its all the same one person in all the sketches, and Baek Woo Jin could have changed his outer appearance by going to the plastic surgery clinic as shown in the sketch. And they spotted the watch on the guy in the CCTV to be exactly same as the guy's watch in the sketches.

At this moment, we see that Jang Tae Joon seems to be walking up toward the tomb.

YSH and KDS finds the plastic surgery clinic location but KDS stopped in his tracks when he sees a couple buying a ring, and he got remembered of the moment when his fiancee showed him their wedding ring. YSH tells KDS the logic of the wolves where wolves are originally lonely animals by themselves but once they found their own pack, they team up and no longer are lonely by themselves. By using this logic, she tells KDS that now that they're in the same team, he is no longer alone as they're friends now. KDS smiled and thanked YSH for her concern as he said her words have managed to cheer him up and warm his heart. But then he leans closer to YSH and tells her to mind her own business. YSH chided KDS that he cry his eyes out when nobody is around and that he should not act all tough when he is clearly not.
KDS turns around and asks her to repeat again what she said, YSH feigns ignorance and walks off, pretending to wipe away tears from her eyes.

YSH and KDS arrives at the plastic surgery clinic but there was a guy who was wearing a cap and walk off hurriedly when he saw both of them, which got KDS' attention. YSH found the office to be in a mess and the doctor was lying on the ground, seemingly injured. KDS hurriedly chased after the person wearing the cap and shouts out the person's name, which we then realised it was KDJ. KDJ locks the door before he leave and KDS struggled with the locked door before he finally breaks it open and KDJ removes his cap to look up at KDS on floor 2.
KDS holds the doctor by the collar and asks if he recognises Baek Woo Jin. The doctor nods his head while flustered.
We see that Baek Woo Jin seemingly arrived at the location where Jang Tae Joon is currently at.

The team then found out that Baek Woo Jin is still alive and that he visited the plastic surgery clinic. Moon Jae Hyun then confirms with the team that the corpse that they dug out was indeed Bang Tae Kyung's  body. We see that Baek Woo Jin had previously find Bang Tae Kyung at his house and that he found Eun Jin's necklace at Bang Tae Kyung's house, which he then put Bang Tae Kyung's body in the car and cause the car to catch fire, seemingly faking his own death.

The team then presents us with the question, why would Baek Woo Jin go to such lengths to fake his own death. Moon Jae Hyun is more concerned with how all of this is related to Kim Do Jin, as to why would he search for Baek Woo Jin when there is no correlation.
YSH looks in confusion and KDS says that there is no need for all this complicated stuff as long as they are able to find Baek Woo Jin in the end to solve their unanswered questions.

Baek Woo Jin takes out his gun from his holster and approaches Jang Tae Joon's room. But we see that it was Kim Do Jin that went into the room that Jang Tae Joon is at, and he passes to JTJ a document that seemingly proves Baek Woo Jin has used plastic surgery to change his outer appearance. JTJ takes it from him and burns the entire document, complimenting him for a good job done. KDJ asks for the reason why would he be after Baek Woo Jin as he is doubtful of his intentions. JTJ explains to him that previously, Baek Woo Jin has tried to kill him and that BWJ is KDJ's predecessor, which means BWJ was once under JTJ's bidding as well, doing what JTJ asks of him to do, explaining the urgency of having to find where BWJ is at before the team finds him.
KDJ looks at JTJ with understanding and the episode ends here.

Episode 8 Preview
After hiding his identity, Baek Woo Jin has been punishing future criminals just like what Kim Do Jin is doing now, as explained by Kang Dong Soo. KDJ assures JTJ that he will not break halfway in what he is doing, like what Baek Woo Jin has done.
KDS asks whether Jang Tae Joon is the one who can foresee the future, and Kim Do Jin asks if the team has someone like that too, who can foresee the future.
Then we hear Baek Woo JIn saying that the KDJ probably thinks that what KDJ is doing is acting out justice, and he asks KDJ to take a good look at what happened to him and that this would be what his future looks like. We are then shown KDJ holding a knife at JTJ's neck, and JTJ in the voiceover saying that he think it is time to say goodbye.

Maybe its due to FIFA World Cup thats why people are not watching Sketch? :o but oh wells the production team needs to improve more on the way they execute this drama please.

My POV after watching episode 7 with subs

 

I knew it Jang Tae Joon isn’t a vigilante but a monster with a God Conplex. A monster who uses his victims grief to control them and to kill the people he believe that needs killing. He doesn’t care how this will affect them. In a situation like this, he could be creating a monster and I believe he is disgusting for persuading another human being to kill whom he chooses and then expect to pay for their sins when he was the one who ordered them to murder these monster. PTJ’s delusional aka God Complex may actually believe that he has undone anything wrong. 

Question I have in mind 

 

HOW LONG HAS HE BEEN DOING THIS? 

WHEN DID HIS VISIONS FORST BEGAN? 

Why does he think Shi Hyun’s sketches are nothing but yet he changed her fate. 

I also wonder is he really the one who can the future or is it someone else who has these visions.

Great acting again by Lee Sun Bin~~~

but episode 8 was abit more boring though I feel like they are trying to fill in the loopholes in the drama, and now that we know that JTJ is not the person with the foreseeing ability, could the Elder as mentioned in the drama be YSH's father? what if YSH's father didn't die in the accident?

he episode opens with the scene between YSJ and Detective Baek from 4 years ago, where YSJ asks Detective Baek what could he have done if it was him that is investigating the case, Detective Baek says that he will find another way to do it.
As Detective Baek sits on the railings nearby, JTJ goes to Detective Baek and tells him that in order to console the person who is feeling down, he needs to be there standing under the rain together with him instead of holding the umbrella. He tells Detective Baek that Kim Eun Jin would not be the only woman that he will rape, and that Detective Baek may not know JTJ but JTJ knows him well, persuading Detective Baek to help him to change the world together.

Back to the present, Kim Do Jin asks about the identity of the guy who JTJ asks him to kill, JTJ says that it is Detective Baek, who used to work under him before Kim Do Jin. Kim Do Jin, a look of comprehension crossed his face as he stood there silently.

The investigative team continues to analyse the sketches and the hacker admits that it would be difficult to track down Detective Baek since they would not recognise his new facial appearance if he has went under the knife to change his face. KDS spoke about Bang Tae Kyung keeping accessories of women that he has raped, YSH then come to the conclusion that Detective Baek killed Bang Tae Kyung to prevent him from committing further crimes, and KDS agreed, saying that it is exactly what Kim Do Jin is doing currently as well. KDS thought about what KDJ has been doing so far and tells the team that KDJ may have been doing things to prevent further crimes.

KDJ asks JTJ the reason why would Baek Woo Jin wants to kill him now. JTJ says that BWJ was unable to follow his biddings and ended up he wants to kill JTJ now.

KDS has concluded that there is someone who is ordering KDJ to do all those heinous things to prevent further crimes and Detective Baek is also like KDJ in the past too, and there is even more urgency to find Detective Baek now.

We see that Detective Baek has been delivering food to households and as he walks to his motorcycle, he sees a nearby chicken restaurant having an opening event, could this mean that he thinks that the new restaurant may affect his chicken restaurant?

KDS pulls YSH aside to talk to her, asking whether she agrees with his assumption he made about KDJ. YSH said its totally possible, but then KDS asks about his fiancee, why would KDJ wants to kill his fiancee if his fiancee has been against crimes and hurting others, but he feels that since they are unable to find the answers now, they might be able to once they find KDJ.

Detective Baek gets hauled away by the loansharks as he did not pay the interest and the principle for the restaurant's deposit. But Detective Baek says that he will pay them back but the loansharks refuse to listen and threaten him with his wife's life if he fails to pay it back.

The team goes through the list of cases of past criminals who have been killed by Detective Baek to prevent further crimes by those past criminals. YSH believes there are further crimes done by Detective Baek and KDS noticed that there is no commonality between the past criminals so the cases would not have been investigated in the past as they would have been thought as individual cases.
When the hacker managed to identify the current and the past Baek Woo Jin to be the same person, KDS concluded that his theory made perfect sense that Detective Baek has been killing those criminals to prevent further crimes.

JTJ sat in the room alone, thinking about what happened in the past with Baek Woo Jin, where Baek Woo Jin barged into the room with a gun pointing at JTJ asking him when would JTJ tell him about the man that he is serving under, and how many of the people that he is ordered to killed were just people who were getting in his way. JTJ dismissed his question and tells him to think of the people they have managed to save, BWJ refuses to listen and said that they did not save people, and that they were just foolishly pretending to be like deities of some kind and he wishes to stop right now. JTJ said that he should have realise that BWJ is too soft for this and BWJ pulls the trigger and asks him to stop if not he would shoot. JTJ confronts him with two questions, whether is he determined to kill him and that whether he would not know BWJ will be coming here at this hour. Then there is a gunshot sound and it was BWJ who got shot in the arm by JTJ.

JTJ tells BWJ never to come back and that this was the last opportunity for him to escape.

Back to the present, JTJ looks out of the window and turned his head down... in regret? we would never know.

At this point in time, KDS looks through some files on YSH's desk and YSH suddenly pops behind his back, surprising KDS and she asks why would he be at her table looking through documents, he casually picks up Baek Woo Jin's file and told her that she said she would send it to him but he did not receive it. YSH asks if that is all that he is doing at her desk, KDS then retorts back whether is she expecting a love letter instead. YSH snorted while rubbing her nose, and said yes, but tells him not to hang around her desk if not she will misunderstand.
Just then, the hacker goes over to put a file on her desk, which is an abduction case from 2 years ago which she thinks YSH would be interested in. The woman was abducted by the criminal but ended up the victim was found in front of the hospital and the criminal mysteriously died. The hacker then says that they should go and investigate further and as KDS is about to walk away, the hacker asks if he got anything else to say, KDS puts his arm into his jacket's inner pockets and pulls his arm out showing a heart sign to the hacker. The hacker then walks away, feeling flustered.

KDS and YSH is currently going around to look for Detective Baek's wife's whereabouts. Detective Baek's wife laid on the hospital bed and they talked about the first time when they met, but the wife started coughing and Detective Baek assured his wife that she will get better and that they will reminisce about this moment and laugh about it. The doctor informs Detective Baek that at this stage, it would not be surprising if his wife gets arrythmia and if he is unable to pay the hospital bills when they find a donor, they are unable to do anything for his wife too.
As Detective Baek leaves to go and eat, YSH and KDS arrived at the scene to talk to the wife regarding the abduction. The wife told them that she was unconscious when it happened and she did not get to see the person's face who saved her. YSH showed the wife a sketch of Detective Baek but while the wife clearly seems to recognise the guy in the sketch, she feigns ignorance and refuses to answer. The wife then asks if the guy in the sketch was the one who killed her abductor. KDS then asks YSH if they can believe her words, YSH is certain that she is lying to protect Detective Baek. KDS then confirmed his doubts, that the person who killed his wife's abductor is Detective Baek and that BWJ is somewhere near the hospital. The wife then called BWJ to inform him about the cops coming to see her and whether he is the one in the sketch as she feels that it seems to resemble her husband. Just then, the hospital calls BWJ to tell him that they found a donor but he needs to pay for the bills before 5pm if not it will go to the next available donor. BWJ calls the loansharks to tell him that he will sell his store in return for the money, and the loanshark tells him not to worry but to just bring the seal for his store. Just then, KDS and YSH visits BWJ and tells him that he is under arrest for what he has done, and BWJ follows them to their hideout as he told them he does not have enough time to go to the police station.

KDS interrogates BWJ the reason for wanting to kill JTJ. BWJ with a look of confusion on his face, replied back with another question as to why would he be trying to kill JTJ. KDS tells him not to feign ignorance as they already knew everything. Then BWJ asks since KDS said that he is trying to kill JTJ, what is KDS basing that claim on, and if there is someone else with foreseeing ability here in the team.
YSH intervenes and asks him what kind of ability he is referring to, BWJ says that he came here without putting up a fight because he wanted to save time, and being open and honest would help both.
KDS then says that if BWJ thinks that clairvoyance is an ability thing, then their answer is yes. YSH, feeling on edge, tries to stop KDS from saying anything else further, but KDS say that they have not much time to be beating around the bush. KDS tells BWJ that he believes there is another person with the foreseeing ability which he worked for in the past and they have enough evidence to back up their claims. BWJ then relents and say that he knew that his past sins would come back to bite him and that he asks if they want to know who is the one he is working for. BWJ then requests for KDS to give him 3 hours' time before he comes back to give them the answer that they are looking for, but KDS then blurted out if it is JTJ that he used to worked for, causing YSH to intervene and tell KDS not to jump to conclusions. KDS refuses to listen and tells the team that he is just going straight to the point since it is also what everyone wants to know, and that the clues that they have found so far clearly explains that there is someone called X that both BWJ and KDJ is working for and the sketch that shows BWJ trying to kill JTJ clearly explains that hypothesis that X is JTJ since KDJ was also trying to kill BWJ, going back to his question, asking BWJ whether is it JTJ that he used to worked for.
BWJ sighed and asks if that is everything that they know so far, and that there is something that they do not know if he do not tell them.

Just then, KDJ is sleeping in his hideout with someone walking into the hideout and touched his shoulder, causing KDJ to wake up startled and holding a knife to his neck, showing that it was JTJ, and he ask if KDJ is able to handle all the pressure of killing the criminals. KDJ assures that he will not break halfway like BWJ and JTJ tells him to prepare for another mission.

The team then releases BWJ after interrogating him, and now the team wants to find JTJ, with YSJ stepping in to say that he will be able to find JTJ with his influence in the Prosecutor's Office.

With 1 hour left on the clock to pay the bills, BWJ calls the loanshark hurriedly but the loanshark says that he is currently on business and that he asks BWJ to sign a blank contract if he desperately needs the money. The loanshark's men prepares the documents and there is a mysterious knock on their door but nobody was there.

We see that KDS and YSH is currently on a stakeout under the loansharks' hideout and KDS asks about the special day that YSH has it marked on her calendar. YSH then brushes it aside to say that it is the anniversary with her boyfriend (which she clearly does not). And they continued to wait under the hideout.

BWJ walks into the hideout, where there is nobody but he found a bag with the money on the table. But then KDJ approaches BWJ and BWJ asks KDJ if it was JTJ who orders him to do this. JTJ refuses to listen to BWJ's explanation and wants to kill him, and BWJ tells KDJ to remember what he looks like now. KDS realises that JTJ would have already known that BWJ would be at the hideout and they barged into the place, stopping KDJ in time before he can kill BWJ, but KDJ shoots and the bullet grazed BWJ's forehead, while KDS shoots back and the bullet hits KDJ in the chest, causing KDJ to fall through the window. But then we see later that KDJ had wore a bulletproof vest so he was not shot directly in the chest.

BWJ asks KDS to hurry to the hospital to pay for his wife's hospital bills while YSH calls the hospital to talk to the transplant center but she was unable to get through to the hospital. KDS manages to rush to the hospital using a passer-by's motorcycle, but it seems that he failed to get there in time.

We then see that Moon Jae Hyun asks YSJ to give BWJ some time to see his wife for the last time, and YSJ telling him that it may be hard to arrest JTJ since he hasn't been coming to work for quite some time.

BWJ goes to see his wife and tells her that he has something to tell her. He tries to tell her the truth but the wife stops him to tell him that he is the one and only one that she will love in the entire world and that she is glad that they were able to meet. BWJ nods in sadness and we got to know that the wife has signed the papers refusing any treatment which is probably why she did not get the heart transplant.

KDS thanked YSH for the words that she said at his fiancee's funeral, about taking revenge and how his fiancee would have felt, telling YSH that those were the words he needed to hear. YSH then turns around and tells him the date that she marked on her calendar was actually the anniversary of her parents' death and that they passed away on the same day, leaving both her and her brother alone. Then we flashback to when YSH and her brother was sitting at their parents' funeral and that the criminal was arrested 2 days after the accident. While it has been 20 years ago, she still remembers the day like it was yesterday, and that such memories only become more vivid with time.
KDS tells YSH to visit her parents' memorial tomorrow morning since they know that BWJ would be at the hospital the entire night.

The next day, YSH goes to her parents' memorial with her brother and YSH looks at her parents' urns with a sense of poignancy.

Just then, KDS and BWJ stands aside as they see the wife gets wheeled into the mortuary. BWJ then says that he just wanted a normal life waking up beside his wife everyday, but he never thought that it would be this difficult. At this moment, the gangsters walk over to them and tells BWJ to hand over the money. But KDS tries to intervene by telling them that he is a cop and wants them to get lost, but then he gets knocked out by BWJ.

BWJ then tells them that he knows someday he will have to pay for his sins and now that his sins have found him, he will repay for what he has done.

The hacker then calls YSH that she has been unable to reach KDS on the phone. And just then, KDS wakes up to find the gangsters being beaten up and that the boss was badly injured on his head. KDS gets a phonecall by BWJ and he tells BWJ that he cannot just go off like this. BWJ then tells KDS if he remember him telling the team that there is one thing that they wont be able to know if he does not tell them himself.

BWJ then revealed that JTJ is not the person who can foresee the future, it was someone else that JTJ is working for that is able to foresee the future, and we see that the mysterious person whom JTJ is working for is having a meal with JTJ.
The episode then ends with BWJ walking off into the distance and KDS hanging up the call with a look of understanding on his expression.

Next episode's preview,
the team realises that they need to find the notebook in JTJ's office then they would be able to know who he is working for, and we see YSH going into the Internal Affairs' office to search for the notebook but then she got spotted by the Internal Affairs' people and she was searched by them to see if she took anything. JTJ in the voiceover, says to give up on whatever they are trying to do, while the hacker is trying to fend off some people but she got knocked out in the process of it. JTJ tells the team that they would never be able to catch him. And as the team goes into a basement room with shelves of books, then someone in voiceover says that JTJ has many enemies, and that he talked about the Elder. We then see the sketch fulfilling its prophecy with BWJ pointing a gun at JTJ saying that he will bust JTJ's solemn belief about everything that he thinks it was right and his loyalty to the Elder.

Just then, YSH finds a notebook in the basement room and she was confused as to why would it be there, (could it be that the Elder is YSH's father? that YSH's father did not actually die???????)
and as they confront JTJ, KDS asks why would he want to spare his life.

finished watching ep 8 only in 20ish minutes lol. I no longer can bear long-length conversation (i calculate it, some sugar coat conversation can take 3-4 minutes lol). 

I think i know what this drama missing, this drama's case is that kind of case which can be completed in only 1 episode, but somehow they force it to almost 3 episodes (example: Nam sun woo case that takes forever, Si hyun rescuing, etc). 

 

BUT good to know more about Tae Joon, seems like he is SH father? or is it the elder?

Hi! I'm in new in this thread, and haven't posted in Soompi in a while, but I had to come out for this TV show. I wasn't sure I would like it at first, but now I'm addicted and I want to know if my guesses are correct. One of the things I like is how well developed the main characters and 2nd leads are. We know why they act the way they do, we understand what they feel, and I think the actors do a fantastic job conveying those emotions. It's interesting that what brings them all together is... loss. Kang Dong-Soo lost his fiancée; Kim Do Jin, his wife; the Yoo siblings lost both parents on the same day; Captain Moon lost his daughter; and in episode 8

Detective Baek lost is wife, before escaping custody. Something tells me we haven't seen the last of him, and that he might once again be a vigilante with his very own agenda, i.e. taking JTJ out?

I like how YSH makes fun of KDS (as she did in the street once and imitated him without him knowing), and calls him out when he pushes people away and pretends to be all strong, and to not need anyone. I think we're seeing a close relationship slowly build up, though I can't tell yet if they'll let their feelings fully blossom. It's starting to show that they care for each other beyond professional obligations

KDS being curious about YSH personal life, YSH and KDS joking when KDS is going through her things at her desk, talking about love letter, etc., later KDS thanking YSH for what she said at the funerals, and admitting he needed to hear that.

Realistically I think KDS needs time to grieve, so while I can't picture a full on romance by the end of the series, I still see a solid friendship in formation there.

 

Last but not least (spoilers),

 it would make sense that the elder is YSH's dad. We know both parents died, but we don't know how yet. The dad could have decided to get into the shadows, for specific reasons. It seems the elder follows an elaborate plan, since Detective Baek questioned if the killings' true motive was to get rid of those who got in the elder's way... The elder being YSH's dad also explains why it was imperative that KDJ saves her, and that maybe she got her power from him...
