Plot:

Detective Kang Dong-Soo's fiance is killed mysteriously. He works with a female detective

 who can see 3 days into the future. She sketches what she sees. They set out to capture the murderer. Kim Do-Jin is a former special forces member. His pregnant wife was killed and he plots revenge.

Rain Confirmed To Star In New JTBC Action Drama

Rain has decided on his next small screen production!

Confirmed by sources from both JTBC and his own agency, Rain will be starring in JTBC’s upcoming summer drama “Sketch” (working title). The singer had originally declined last month, but reconsidered his decision after receiving the offer once more. This will mark Rain’s first drama in two years, after SBS’s “Please Come Back, Mister.”

“Sketch” is an investigative, action drama that showcases the love and fate of those who struggle to change their destinies. The script will be written by Kang Hyun Sung, who has worked on tvN’s “Hidden Identity,” MBC’s “Chosun Police Season 3,” and film “The King’s Case Note.”

“Sketch” is planned to premiere sometime in May or June of this year.

Rain to star in upcoming drama 'Sketch'

Rain has been cast in the upcoming JTBC drama 'Sketch'!

On February 13, JTBC and RAIN Company confirmed Rain will be starring in the new drama slated to air in the summer. Though he's said to have initially turned down the offer, it looks like they re-negotiated! 

'Sketch' is Rain's first drama in 2 years following SBS' 'Please Come Back, Mister'. He's recently been featuring as a judge on KBS' competitive reality show 'The Unit'.

Viewers can expect 'Sketch' to air in May or June! Stay tuned for updates.

Lee Dong-Gun cast in JTBC drama series “Sketch”

 Lee Dong Gun is cast for the second lead male role in JTBC drama series Sketch, starring Rain. In the drama series, Lee Dong-Gun will play Kim Do-Jin. He is a special forces member. Casting for the lead female role has yet to be announced. This is Lee Dong-Gun’s first acting role since his wife Jo Yoon Hee gave birth to their first child on December 14, 2017.

I read that the female lead actress will be Lee Sun Bin. I don`t know if she is confirmed or not.

 

So, from the little information we have, Rain will play a detective of Homicide departement, Lee Dong Gun plays an officer belonging to the Special Warfare Command/ special force and he is a confrontational person. The heroine is  a girl who can 'sketch' the future that will be "born" within 3 days. Is this a crime drama with a fantasy element? She can predict the near future?

Lee Sun Bin In Talks To Join Rain And Lee Dong Gun In New Action Drama

Lee Sun Bin is currently in talks for her next drama role!

On March 6, a source from JTBC confirmed, “We are looking at having Lee Sun Bin as the main female character for ‘Sketch.’ She is positively considering the offer.”

“Sketch” is an investigative, action drama that explores the stories of people who are fighting to change their destinies. Lee Sun Bin has been offered the role of a female detective who has the ability to sketch drawings of what will happen in the future within three days from present time. If she accepts, this will be her first lead role in a miniseries (a drama consisting of 12-24 episodes).

Rain and Lee Dong Gun are also confirmed to star in the new JTBC drama as characters Kang Dong Su and Kim Do Jin respectively.

“Sketch” is scheduled to air sometime in May.

Lee Sun Bin and Im Hwa Young will be joining the upcoming JTBC Friday-Saturday drama “Sketch”!

 

A source from JTBC confirmed that the two actresses will become a part of the main cast, joining Rain and Lee Dong Gun. Lee Sun Bin will play the leading female role as a detective who has the ability to sketch out drawings of what will happen three days in the future. Im Hwa Young is set to play a character who is the brain of her investigative team.

 

Alongside them is Rain, who will play ace detective Kang Dong Su, who uses his intuition and willingness to try new tactics to solve cases. One day, he finds that his fiancée has suffered a mysterious death, and he throws himself into the case to uncover the truth. Lee Dong Gun will be playing Kim Do Jin, a special forces sergeant who begins to plot revenge when his pregnant wife is murdered.

 

“Sketch” will be an investigative action drama of a group of people who try to change a future that has already been set. The story will follow an ace detective and a female detective who can sketch out the future as they try to capture a serial killer. “Sketch” will be the follow-up drama to “Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food” and will begin airing in May.
