Plot

 

Drama Cross: God`s Gift centers around a man who learns medicine out of a desire for revenge, but in the process learns what healing is all about. That main character is Kang In-kyu (Go Kyung-pyo), whose father was brutally murdered 13 years ago, spurring In-kyu to go into medicine to learn to save lives—and also how to kill. Character descriptions

Kang In-kyu (Go Kyung-pyo), goes to medical school to learn to save lives but also to learn how to kill. In-kyu ended up at the top of his class all throughout medical school and passed his doctor’s licensing exams with a perfect score, the first in ten years to do so. His learning was enhanced by a side effect of an accident he suffered 13 years prior, where injury to the right brain enabled greater capability of the left brain, in effect causing savant syndrome. In-kyu is now a first-year resident working in the organ transplant department of the hospital

 

Jo Jung-hoon (Jo Jae-hyun) is a world-renowned expert in liver transplants who has published numerous articles in international medical journals and has an impressive 97 percent surgery success rate. He is  a strictly principled man who keeps his distance from personal greed.

Go Kyung Pyo and Jo Jae Hyun Confirmed To Appear On New tvN Drama

Actors Go Kyung Pyo and Jo Jae Hyun have been confirmed as the leads of the upcoming Monday-Tuesday tvN drama titled “Cross” (working title).

“Cross” will tell the story of a man who becomes a doctor for revenge but finds himself having to save the life of his enemy. The drama will be produced by director Shin Yong Hwi of OCN’s “Tunnel” and written by Choi Min Suk of films such as “My Brilliant Life” and “Blind.”

 

Go Kyung Pyo will play the role of Kang In Gyu, a man with a cold personality. After the brutal murder of his father 15 years ago, Kang In Gyu became a doctor to save lives as his form of revenge.

Veteran actor Jo Jae Hyun will play the role of doctor and head of organ transplant center Go Jung Hoon. He is the world’s best liver transplant doctor, but is careful to never show his whole heart to the world. The drama is set to show the entangled love-hate relationship and conflict between Kang In Gyu and Go Jung Hoon as they frequently come and go from the hospital and prison.

Ko Gyung-Pyo and Cho Jae-Hyun are now cast in new tvN drama series “Cross.” Ko Gyung-Pyo will play the lead male character Kang In-Kyu. He became a doctor to take revenge on those who are responsible for his father’s death and he uses medical techniques for revenge. Cho Jae-Hyun will play major supporting character Go Jung-Hoon. I could see this pairing, though I’m not sure this is the kind of drama that’ll have time for romance: Jeon So-min (1% of Anything) is considering an offer to star opposite Go Kyung-pyo (Strongest Deliveryman) in tvN’s new medical revenge drama Cross: God’s Gift, about a man who becomes a doctor so that he can go work at the prison where his father’s killer is serving his sentence. Well that’s different.

 

The drama will be helmed by new writer Choi Min-seok, and PD Shin Yong-hwi of the awesome OCN time-slip mystery Tunnel (man I loved that show), so I’m hoping for another sharp, addictive thriller. Go Kyung-pyo is up to play the leading character, a man whose father was brutally killed 13 years ago. He suffered an accident at the time that enhanced his left brain capacity and made it possible for him to graduate at the top of his class in medical school, where he learns how to save lives and also how to kill people. He chose to become a doctor in order to exact revenge on his father’s murderer, and the drama is about what happens as he goes to work at the prison where the killer is an inmate.

A couple more confirmations are in for Cross: God’s Gift, the new medical thriller that previously confirmed leads Go Kyung-pyo (Strongest Deliveryman) and Jeon Seo-min (1% of Anything). Now we have Kim Ji-han (Golden Pouch, My Secret Hotel) confirming his participation, as well as Yang Jin-sung (Chicago Typewriter). If you’re wondering why that face is familiar but the name isn’t, it’s because Kim Ji-han is the new stage name for Jin Yi-han, which was also a stage name (his real name is Kim Hyun-joong; it’s understandable why he took a new name).

The main premise is about Go Kyung-pyo’s character, who goes between hospital and prison with only revenge on his mind. The object of his revenge is a humanistic doctor, played by Jo Jae-hyun (Whisper). Jeon So-min, his main love interest, will play an organ transplant coordinator.

Kim Ji-han’s role is that of a cold but outwardly gentlemanly organ transplant specialist who is also the golden boy of the hospital, having excellent results and having graduated from a top university. It also doesn’t hurt that his father is the hospital head. On December 13, tvN’s upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama “Cross” revealed some stills of their first script reading.

The drama is about Kang In Kyu (played by Go Kyung Pyo), who becomes a doctor in order to get revenge but instead ends up saving the life of his enemy. Go Jung Hoon (played by Jo Jae Hyun) is an optimistic doctor who embraces everything, including Kang In Kyu’s rage. Jun So Min will be playing the quirky, unpredictable, and refreshingly charming hospital intern Go Ji In, who is also the only daughter of Go Jung Hoon.
