Synopsis:

Han Yun Xi is the daughter of an imperial physician who lost her mother when young, but maintains a cheerful and optimistic disposition. Yun Xi is naturally talented in medical science and proficient in traditional medicine, but suffers from the jealousy and avoidance of others. By a stroke of fate, she marries the Duke of Qin, Long Fei Ye, and becomes embroiled in the changing politics of the imperial court. I haven't read this book yet, so was wondering if there's magic involved somewhere? The poster seems to show the heroine riding on a flying spear Journey of Flower style, or is that a metaphor of some kind?

The book is the usual time travel genius protagonist troop. I'm reading up until the latest translated chapter, and no magic.

I like the novel.... so eventho I know there will be changes here and there... I think I'm going to tune in for this drama...  Hopefully they kept the spunky Han Yun xi personality....

It follows a lady doctor who marries into the royal family and gets caught in the political machinations in the palace whilst she falls into a romance with her husband. 

 

 

It is a Shanghai Star 48 Culture and Media Group production that brings together a huge ensemble led by Ju Jing Yi (Xuan Yuan Sword), Zhang Zhe Han (Zhao Ge), Merxat Mi Re (Above the Clouds), Wang You Shuo, Xu Jia Qi, Lin Si Yi (Fighter of the Destiny), Shao Xue Cong, Liu Hao Ran, and Xie Lei Lei.

The story takes place during a chaotic time when the land has split into three kingdoms - Tiang Ning, Western Zhou and Northern Li. The Tian Ning King is cunning and distrustful, and fears his own subordinate Long Feiye. To dampen his spirits, the King arranges for Long Feiye to be married to an ugly woman named Han Yun Xi (played by Ju Jing Yi who so far just looks gorgeous).

Han Yun Xi is a kind and talented woman who comes from a medical family and is adept with poisons. She is also forced into obeying the decree of the king and becomes a royal consort in name only. However, circumstances allow her to show off her skills time and again, winning the admiration of Long Feiye. At the same time, she also forms a friendship with Gu Qi Shao.

 

 

Easily cowed and bullied, she was the useless, ugly woman with no talent in medical skills. Supported by millions, he was Tianning’s most respected duke with the power to move all under Heaven. On their wedding day the bridal sedan was carried to the front doors, but the Duke of Qin’s gates were shut tight. They told her, ‘Come back tomorrow.’ All alone, she walked step-by-step full of pride through the duke’s doors. Little could they imagine, this unattractive good-for-nothing was a beautiful, genius doctor of poisons!

 

After transmigrating to the past, poisons expert Han Yunxi finds herself on the verge of being married off to the country’s second most powerful man, the Duke of Qin. Her future life seems set–except her husband is an unfeeling ice block, her in-laws think she’s a eyesore, the empress dowager wants to use her for her own goals, and poison-related plots abound.

Legend of Yun Xi (芸汐传) is the drama adaptation of the novel Poison Genius Consort (天才小毒妃) written by Jie Mo and it stars Zhang Zhe Han (Demon Girl) and Ju Jing Yi (Novoland: The Castle in the Sky) married to each other unwillingly but it turns out for the best of both worlds. Our heroine is the daughter of an imperial doctor and grew up without her mother and yet she retains her optimistic and positive personality despite the suffering. Because of her talents in medicine, she is the object of jealousy and exclusion. By chance, she gets married to the powerful Duke of Qin and gets entangled in his court politics and poisonous situations.(A virtual voyage )
