 @spy booble The differences between namji and his other costars is very easy to spot! Most of time you see a few wrinkles around wookies eyes when ever he smiles at hyunnie which is something rarely seen with his other costars. That's one genuine smile right there!!!

@nianderson  Thank you for sharing your beautifully written analysis. You penned what most of us think, observed and feel. The parts of us that want to be rational versus observations that seem to scream otherwise.  Something very special has happened between these two people over the past months and we have been but spectators to their "suspicious" relationship which we all pray will not stall but continue to grow and deepen between them.

As I mentioned earlier, I'm back with some random thoughts I've been wanting to share over the past few days. I've seen that earlier this week we got a lot of comparisons between NamJi and SongSong, and I know that that kind of posts are very popular especially on IG, to the point that - as some of you reported - other ships (i.e.  people shipping JCW with his previous co-stars) are now copying this. Of course I understand why SongSong have become a point of reference for everyone who ships a k-ent couple, and therefore I am not surprised to see so many comparisons popping up, but while I can enjoy watching / reading about the similarities between NamJi and some other reel to real couple - be it SongSong, or Ji Sung and Lee BoYoung, AhnGoo, or NamLee (well, before they broke up ), etc,  it's only on a just-for-fun basis. I hope I won't offend anyone here - because I truly respect the people who took the time to research and point out such similarities - but if I weren't on board already you would  probably never convince me with that kind of argument. It's nice and everything, but I wouldn't count those as evidence (especially when the comparisons are drawn based on actual drama scenes, and not off-screen interaction...) On the other hand, while you were discussing this, I stumbled  upon this tweet and the video compiled by this fan. It does not even show all the examples we got, but it sums up pretty well the main reason why I love and ship them so much, and why I am still here months after SP ended:

Their laughter. The sheer joy they radiate. The overflowing happiness you can see in their smiles and in their eyes. 

True. We have heard them say many times that the atmosphere on the set was always great and they could have fun filming, etc. But is that it? If you look at this video, or better at the complete BTS we got thanks to SBS, you'll realize that yes, there were several times we could see or hear the PD laughing as well and in some group scenes the other actors would joke and laugh too, but mostly it was just the two of them. Lost in their own happy world while rehearsing or in between takes while the staff were moving around them doing their job with a neutral expression, meaning that there was not something particularly funny happening there (otherwise everyone on set would be laughing or would at least look amused, right?). This is not to deny that  the team was very good and the atmosphere on set was indeed relaxed and fun, but that alone does not explain for me the utter happiness that is just pouring out of them when they are together. That's simply something coming from within them, or rather they are the very reason for each other's smiles.

And this is something that people of the other ships could not help but notice too, just like we did because it so, so obvious. So, knowing that their ships don't have it,  they could only come up with the dumbest explanation ever...  scripted BTS.   I know that some of you feel bitter about haters attacking NamJi with this and even spreading negative comments on your IG / Twitter accounts, but honestly I can't even take them seriously about that. I mean, I have to laugh every time I read that... On the other hand, I love that this prompts NamJi shippers to post even more videos, slow motions, etc. of those "scripted" bts  Just like I end up enjoying every time flies come in here because that means that we start reposting kiss gifs and videos  

 

Talking about kiss gifs, there was something I wanted to mention... but this post is already long enough as it is. So I'll end it here, and leave the kiss for another time, maybe tomorrow.

Its pass midnight and poor me trying to concentrate on some work but namji is distracting me... I know this has been spazzed for god knows how many times yet lemme spazz some more.... 

 

I've been doing some thinking bcz when it comes to uri namji we guys are all emotional. That one look filled with shyness or desire or that simple "sarangae" can make us all dizzy, emotional and even heart wrenching to the point where it starts all the water work... So my question is why? Dear lord  why?? 

 

My take is that we feel something that is far bfrom reel. A dilemma where you find it hard to dissect reel from real since we all witness that moment where reel and real just merged where as BH vs NJH and NJW vs JCW became blurred to the point we had the question which role they are portraying...

 

I watched this scene where BH catches wookie in his bathrobe and where she said its DAY 1. Oh that joyfulness and enthusiasm he showed the audience when  he realized that has a GF now was not present when NJW said that limped "YES" when he proposed to BH and she accepted. (You know guys come to think about it, it felt as if a couple was exchanging vows!!! Where You see the bride and groom all teary eyed and emotional at times. That moment felt so raw and personal like these two were doing it for reals). So do you guys see the difference and the difference is so loud. Wasnt it totally out of character they portrayed??

 

Don't even ask me about BH aka nam ji hyun. My poor heartu cannot take all the caressing hyunnie did to wookie even though the caressing part was out of frame!

A shipper can empathize with the third choice all too well. It is push-and-pull from all ends, shot with adrenaline and drained of it every other second, hurtling towards the peak and crashing into the pits, spasms of glee and nightmares of pathos. Their language has as many variables as constants- maybe/definitely/probably/without doubt/kind of/I’m sure. Their roller-coasting thoughts could put an agitated seismograph to shame. Their days are spent in hopeful eagerness as much as crippling dread.

I thought I had my fill of that. When RMS SongSong sailed into the sunset, I thought I had fought my best fight yet in the para social reality. The stakes high, but surmountable. The union fragile, but the time ripe. Much to lose, even more to gain. Emotional, physical, familial, social, financial and philosophical alignment couldn’t get more perfect for them. All they needed was a leap of faith and even that, in hindsight, was a part of the natural progression. Obviously not being in the loop, all we had to do was deal with the suspense patiently, responsibly, level-headedly.

I never for a blessed moment dreamt that I’d glance at another passing ship while celebrating on RMS SS. Even less that I’d be holding a champagne flute in one hand and a brand new ticket in the other, skipping in joyfully only to be greeted by a shower of hot coals.

I thought I’d prayed, wished and hoped my best before? Clearly had another thought coming. Thought the last one was a helluva scary ride? Had another thought coming there too.

NamJi… or as affectionately known here, JiJi. I saw the trailer and found it darn interesting so kept my eye on May 10^th for quite a while. I had seen Hyunnie in ‘A reason to live’ and she was every bit as good as Kyo there. Other than that, didn’t know much else about her, nothing about him, and didn’t try to find anything until a couple of episodes aired. Blistering chemistry, incredible pace and a fabulous heroine- had to dig more.

Oh I dug… My. Own. Grave.

The thing is, before the first batch of BTS rolled in, I already possessed enough Hyunnie intel. And I learnt enough about Wookie to ascertain that he is a man who does his homework well on the professional front. For the first time he is spearheading a drama wherein his chemistry with the leading lady is going to shoulder the major responsibility of the show’s success. Yes, he can generate sparks with an eraser and can make love with his eyes to a white picket fence, but you can’t convince an audience to stay tuned for that visual for 40 episodes.

He had to have run a bit of background check on his co-star: her similar works before, her acting style, her dating history… since with such a young actress cast to play a far older character in positively PG scenes, romantic experience definitely factors in.

So I witness them in the first dirty-but-pretty BTS. Wookie thinking he’s so smooth, asking the lady what she’ll do if her boyfriend witnesses her in such a smelly state. He and the goddamn whole wide world know that she has never dated in the real sense. She never had nor does have a boyfriend. It was there in the frickin’ newspapers for chrissake!!

She didn’t erupt into a fit of coy giggles and counter-fish for his intentions, like “Oh why do YOU want to know my boyfriend’s reaction, oh-ppppaa?!!! ” He would have known she was creating a fake boyfriend just for the sake of furthering that line of conversation. She didn’t state the obvious truth either. I kinda expected her to at the time, but now I know better. She simply didn’t see the need to bring the topic up just to answer what she considered a mere passing curiosity.

“I’d run away.” she said. The honest answer. The genuine answer. The actual reality of what people would truly do in such a situation. And when she did laugh, it was out of pure mirth.

In that moment, I fell for Miss Nam Ji Hyun like a tree and swore to be hers and hers alone forever if she’d have me.

Wookie? Ah, he got schooled. And that was just the first try.

When my sister introduced me to SOOMPI  I didn't have any interest in joining some forum because I didn't understand what she was ranting about SHIPPING although I was obsessed with NAMJI.
