Synopsis

Kyung-Whee (Minho) was bullied when he was high school student. At that time, he liked Na-Bi (Lee Yoo-Bi). She was his first love, but she died. Now Kyung-Whee is a resident in orthopedics. To save Na-bi, Kyung-Whee travels back in time to when he was 18 years old.

SHINee’s Minho Confirmed For Lead Role In Upcoming JTBC Rom-Com Drama

It seems like fans will be seeing Minho in a new drama soon!

On May 31, a source from JTBC confirmed that SHINee’s Minho would be starring in JTBC’s upcoming web drama “Somehow 18” (literal translation).

Minho has demonstrated great breadth as an actor, as he has taken on a variety of different roles through projects like “Hwarang,” “Because it’s the First Time,” and the film “Derailed.” “Somehow 18” will allow him to show off a different set of charms as an actor, as it is a romantic comedy.

“Somehow 18” is about a man who used to be a loner during his high school days and how he, in an attempt to revive his first love who passed away, goes back in time to when he was 18 years old. “Somehow 18” is part of a series of web dramas that JTBC will begin rolling out on July 31 with “People You May Know” (literal translation), which will star Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung, Lee Won Geun, and Sim Hee Seob.

Actress Lee Yoo Bi will be returning to the small screen for the first time in two years!

It has been confirmed that she will be joining SHINee’s Minho in JTBC’s upcoming web drama“Somehow 18” (literal translation).

The web drama is about a man who goes back in time to his lonely high school days in order to save his first love from death. Lee Yoo Bi will be playing Minho’s first love.

“Somehow 18” will be releasing its first episode in August.

It’s a time-slip romantic comedy called Somehow 18, about a young man who time-travels back to his hellish high school days in order to save his first love. Lee Yubi (Scholar Who Walks the Night) and Shinee’s Min-ho (Hwarang) have signed on to headline.................

Actress Lee Yu Bi has been cast as the female lead in the upcoming JTBC web drama 'Somehow 18'!

 

The drama will tell the story of a man who used to be bullied in school. He goes back in time to when he was 18 years old in order to save his first love, who committed suicide. Lee Yu Bi will be playing the role of Han Na Bi, the first love of male lead Kyung Hwi. She'll be working alongside SHINee's Minho, who was confirmed for the production earlier. 

This will be her first production in 2 years since 'Scholar Who Walks the Night'. 'Somehow 18' is set to air sometime in August!

JTBC Drops Preview For 5 Upcoming Web Dramas

JTBC will be unveiling a series of web dramas beginning this month!

On July 17, an exciting teaser was uploaded to give a short glimpse of each of the programs.

The series kicks off on July 31 with “A Person You Could Know” (literal title), starring Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung and Lee Won Geun, then continues with Lee Joo Young, Girl’s Day’s Yura, and An Woo Yeonon “Hip-Hop Teacher” (literal title). Next will be SHINee’s Minho and Lee Yoo Bi on “Somehow 18” (literal title), and then Han Seung Yeon and Lee Seo Won will follow with “Last Minute Romance” (literal title). Finally, the series will conclude with “Magic School,” which stars GOT7’s Jinyoung, 2PM’s Nichkhun, Yoon Park, Ryu Seung Soo, and Shin Eun Soo.

Each web drama will have ten episodes that are approximately 15 minutes long.

AsianWiki has the release date as August 28th. It's hard to find any pics for the drama. I finally found one w/Miho and Lee Yubi

Thank you! I will remember the date. He looks weird with the curly hair and glasses but it's just a photo and a scene so it's hard and still too early to tell.
