 I can see something like that happening if the Dowager Empress was angry at GTY about the Talley and loss of power. What better way than to drive a wedge between GTY and the new royals. I saw that scene. It looked like he crumbled something and threw it like he got some upsetting news.

I have the same perspective that he could be involved in the fall of GTY. I don't know if he helps the framing or he just gloats, but I doubt the show leaves him out. He is the second lead, he is involved in everything: in the fire accident he tries to help her when GTY isn't there.

I wonder if the fire accident makes qH think ML is not safe with GTY or sparks his interest again because at this point it seems he is trying to move on.

 

I knew he said the word help so before the translation, I thought maybe he was yelling at GTY (assumed since it’s back view) for ML being in danger. If he’s saying why can’t he help ML, then maybe that person is someone his parents had stop him? Cause if there are already people dealing with the fire and QH shows up, it would look bad given their history. The only thing when it comes to women that would ruin a man’s reputation is if it looks like he’s pining after someone else’s wife (for some, it’s worse than being a player—men being men mentality).

 

       There’s a scene in the MV where QH walks up to a seat and turns around and there were other men, possibly officials in reg clothes (??) in the room. It looked tense. GTY is in a position where other possibly officials would be envious of him and I wouldn’t put it pass them to try and use QH for their own means. I don’t want to think QH would purposely do anything.

For some reason even though Molan's husband is a guy who just sleep's with anyone i still somewhat like him lmfao.

 

 

I thought what the grandma and SH both said did make some sense , first time i agreed with SH somewhat i do think that they were a bit to grand and showy and was not really needed. The grandma also knows from experience and knowledge and did not know GTY's true character so i think what she said was wise. 

 

 

 

Except for the fact that he is a playboy, the 6th son of Liang is quite OK.  

 

I think that ML has 3 trusted maids including the one sent to her by grandma no?  I saw 3 and they are all very dedicated to her and very protective.  

 

It was a wonderful moment seeing her taking charge of her household and timing the "clearance" of the bad seeds sent to her by the Gu elders and stepmom.  I also love the way evaluate the situation and strategise carefully her steps.  Bravo Minglan

I agree. What I would dislike is that framing him would put ml at risk. So qh would damage the woman he claims to love. 

I would love if  he helps them but who knows.

In ep 41, Stepmom is like bipolar or something, calm, them goes nuts when her maid told what her sister-in-laws said about her. Yeah...wonder what makes finally snaps for her to actually try to stab GTZy herself in the trailers. Looking forward to them taking her down. She is.  In the beginning I thought "wow, GTY has such a loving stepmom, so lucky".....but then as the plot thickens you could see her showing her true colour and during the gathering when Gu patriach died, she thought that's it, all cards ont he table and turned the table on GTY.  Him finding out was epic and you could see so much emotion : grief, betrayal, pain......Truly, I don't blame him for the way he now act towards his stepmom and she knows it but had to bow in front of him.  She is such a hateful person.  Pathetic.  Pretentious two faced cow.  Her voice is just grating like that of Manniang.  Minglan mentioned to GTY, that she thought she had seen it all growing up in her household with Linniang fainting spells, crying, tantrums etc......But Gu madam win the oscar award really.  Indeed a person to be aware of.  Bipolar actually fits her.  She look absolutely evil inside her carriage when all her staff got turned out by ML for fighting.

XiaoTao, Danju, CuWei - love them all.

XiaoTao has been with ML the longest, since she was young, before the mom's death. That's why she's the one that ML involved in her revenge I reckon. Also the most loyal.

Danju was sent by Granny later to care for ML. 

Seems a bit smarter than XiaoTao. Totally rocked in EP 42 during the "interview" process. 

Lol. ML taught them both well. 

Cuiwei was the last sent to her also by grandma, when she established her own courtyard back home. Most senior of the 3. And dang, she rocks too!

 

Loved the way they handled the servant spies. We can see a very different approach taken compared to how she got rid of the spies last time. 

Such imposing manner, go for offence from the very beginning. Established her foothold in the manor, I don't think anyone would dare to challenge that now...

I'm in awe with her coolness. Calm as cucumber. Sharp as a tack.

I don't feel bad for QH's wife. Marriage with love like ML/GTY was a rare thing back in the days. Most marriages were just like QH's, an arranged marriage where both parties had similar status and they lived together based on a certain set of unspoken rules and etiquette on how to treat each other. QH was the best husband she could have ever dreamed of. Noble, good looking, good career prospect, kind and respect her, dedicated and faithful. After all she was just a complete stranger to him. She maybe the luckiest main wife out there, she just doesn't have his heart, but one can not be too greedy, she's already the one everyone's envious of. We can not use a modern eye to view a marriage in that era. She's got a great catch coming from an arranged marriage.

She is evil. She get jealous bcoz of qh's cold treatment towards her.. Found the dolls and knew about the past with ml.made inquiries about ml. Found about her and dr he. She went to the fifth aunt and tattled about ml pass. And the aunt used the info to force ml to help her. Ml refused and dare her to tell gty.

First clip looks so exciting but they still got so much to do.. Manniang, the fire, the evil stepmom, the death of his son, the poison of granny, the fall of GTY, prison his rise in 20 episode's?

 

Also that girl in the first clip i guess in QH's new bride she is another enemy for ML? i hope not. 

 

It looks like GTY's fall then maybe the poison happens after, while he's away that is when the fire happens then he regain's his status deals with his family the poison stuff happens.

@mooose  She had good advice and experience from the Sheng family, ML is a tough nut to crack.. I hope that GTY will be able to break down this barrier.. But at this point ML trust issues with men she don't have any.. I have to admit she do have a point one can trust no one but themselves and thats a motto I live by to this day..

@ForgottenSoulx  I like him also, I see he was kind of suprised how Molan wasn't close to ML and RL.. I don;t think he really knows Molan nature or character even at this point.. You could tell he wanted to join in with the men but by Molan not having all the attention and no one was admiring her she was totally upset..

I like how GTY brought ML back in a grand manner, He did that to let the Sheng household know that his wife isn't someone to be look down upon anymore from the people in this house or anyone else in the capital.. I thought it was done to show SH a thing or two.. The child that he looked down on and negelected, tried to sale her off at every oppourtunity that came up belongs to me now and she shall be treated with such dignity and respect even from you.

 

Molan was so upset at ML grand return she basically called ML a nobody and her husband was a nothing for choosing to marry her.. Yet ML carriage was granted to them by the Emperor. She then replyed to her husband that she should have came back in a three tier carriage.. Now he's supposed to be a Count they should already have these carriages in there home.. He said I'll get you one next time as if they was in a rental then.. She really got bent out of shape hearing Big Mdm speak of her husband new child that she didn't birth..

 

Just got to love RL.. Direct and to the point..Loved it when RL told her why are you here in the Sheng daughter affairs, Next she told ML she's to densed Aunt is after favors for her SIL.. RL saw all through her plan and let her know right then she knows what she was after. Even braindead Big Mdm didn;t pick up on that.. Aunt had planned to use her connecvtion through her sister to get ML to curry her favors.. RK don;t really know how clever her Lil sis is, ML response was priceless she basically told her I have a book full of reciepts of good and bad deeds.. Now what in god nanmes do I owe you come if you want your not going to like it..  I was checking out the wat Aunt was sizing up GTY.. I know ML had to pick up on it.. She had the look in her eye like your not all that but yet at the sametime who could I hook him up with..

This is GTY job and his way of showing the world how protective he is of her. I think SH wad just jello that he didn;t have and army or bodyguards escorting him, Another thing i think he was upset about is that his pet pea didn't have anyone escorting her and the Count.. Wasn't it back then that each manor had there own army also..? Why is it that Molan household seems so poor when they supposed to be a family of prestiege..

I'm sorry @matrim But are we watching the same drama.   Did you not hear what GTY said.. GTY knew if he went and ask SH for ML hand in marriage he would have flatly turned him down regardless to his status because SH was more concerned of his own status.. He wanted them to marry scholars and doctors to hold his own head up high and not having Son In Laws status above his.. Only this way he could still feel the need to walk with his head up high wanting to be the Big Kuhuna.. (In other words even if my sht stink it should still smell like roses to you) SH didn't care if any of those girls got educated.. It was Granny that push him to educate her.. Also for ML marriage he wouldn't have cared if she married a beggar in the streets.. He just didn't care about ML at all period..

@matrim  So I'm not the only one guessing that it was step mom that set fire to the hime fearing MK giving birth to a son which will cut her child out of having the nobke title all together.. She's the only one with motive to do something like this.. I just have to ask is justice brought to her for all her actions against GTY and ML..

You make a good point about Molan's family they are supposed to be 1/2 richest but dont care to flaunt their wealth.. all Molan's husband cares about is sex not showing off.
