No no no, they must change the change, one different cast for every season! When you start something, you must end in the same way. With a new cast for s3, maybe we will got a more active plot! And change serie's director as well, for the sake of disappointed viewers!

You forgot to advise to change producers as well.:D

If something doesn't work it not always employees fault but employers too.

Into my knowledge, producers have no responsability into serie's quality. They have to take money risk and to deal with sponsors and shareholders, but i can easily admit they can be include into the list , because i also think they are part of this weird family!:joy:

It wasn't an arbitrary change.  It was a case of one production company owning the rights to the story, another owning the right to the actors. That happened almost two years ago and from what I read it wasn't that pleasant...anyway. When the owner of the story ( MELLO) decided to continue the 2m story...they went with new actors because they didn't have the rights to the original actors. The current actors are ALL ( remember godt had a different mgt company) under the same company - the ones who own the story rights...so unless one of the new actors chose not to be a part of 2m3--it will be the same actors...and maybe even director - it's just good business and at the end of the day...if you don't make money...you just don't make it.  It wasn't the the original cast wasn't chosen - they just were not contractually available.

Well, this is technical explanation, so on this point of view, nothing to say. In fact, my first point of view  (pov) is made from an international lambda viewer, which didn't need to enter into this kind of consideration. My thoughts are made from my feeling i always have when you appreciate a movie/serie because of some actors that i like more than others (for some reasons), and they magically dissapear for let their place to newbies! Imagine Captain and White replace by shacking rookies, for pass from s1 to s2! For 2m2, the plot continue the story on same rhythm as for s1. I already told why i followed it (Ming/Kit couple only). Anyway, i saw and judge it on a "philosophical" pov, than a technical one.

BTW, thanks for this interesting infos (i already knew a little). I can just regret this bitter salad annoyed and frustated me during all eps! I miss a lot Kim Varodom Khemmonta as Ming character!

That is all I have, I'm sorry:(..I will admit that I have no emotional tie-end to the original - however, I do understand your POV.

Well there's already been a S2 so it's been five years that we are waiting for a S3- well we did get reminders...however I do get what you are saying.  funny you should mention them - they both will be on School Rangers this week...Captain being the guest player...

ah well , it's over now the #TheSixMoons ( as they are called now) are wading into the special appearance, fanmeet, etc waters...until the S3 which there will be.

Confirmed...there will be a TwoMoons3....with the original actors..(only the director was changed).  And yes, there is drama...there are speculations as to why but no definitive statement as to why the current director was replaced.  Snippets of original convo below...you can follow the threads if you choose... Where's  RuPaul when you need her...she'd get these Queens in order....<sigh>

That's such a bad attitude.

I know you will tell me, money, money, money but it's just nasty!

Spoiler

Who said that?

Even if I don't appreciate more than that his work!

I think the big problem is the plot more than the direction but anyway!

I'm shocked!

No...I'm gonna say drama, drama. drama...it was tacky to say the least...there's more to this than meets the eye..and we may never know the truth...I always think that Twitter is the cowards way out...every body doesn't need to know...I liked the director...only because I knew his prior work. I might not have watched 2m2 if it wasn't him directing because 2m for me was..........anyway this is like reality TV let's see how it plays out...it is the entertainment business - things change over night !! Money does talk.:phew: A lot will depend on what the sponsors think and feel...if they start pulling out...lot's of things change.

I've had feeling that Aam won't be hired for 2m3, and that why i was worry about it since fans reaction was predictable. But producers should have been smarter and deal with it behind close doors. I mean they couldn't not see fans gathering around Anusorn, and it was not hard to predict who in this situation will turned up to be villain in fans eyes.

Totally. I mean there should be a reason why producers have forbidden director interact with boys in real life. (So it was so sweet to see them hugging after watching final ep.) And also why he was obviously backed off from final work on the series (like montage/cutting/editing - not sure what term is correct) except for making engsub.

Agree. I really dislike when producers, directors, managers, etc. start communicate with each other through social media in such... let say... emotional way.

I didn't know this word, I will try to remember...

That is for sure we won't ever have the real story except behind the wall, with no mike and no camera; and yet!

But this world (the background one) is so far from the series...

Each time I told myself not to care about it and each time I'm stunned (my naivety is beyond repairs  :))!

Finally, the snake is eating its own tail!!! Original cast from s1 or from s2?  ha ha ha Finally again, i agreed, it is not because of actors or director problem if i slightly appreciate this serie, but mainly things change constantly. I don't need to know the reason why things change from a season to another one, i just notice production considered (intern.) viewers as the fifth carriage wheel!

We'll never know the real reason for what's happened. There's always 2 sides to a story and both are usually different depending who's side you take. No point in speculating as it normally turns out wrong. I'm just happy that there's going to be a season 3. :)

I'm not a great Twitter fan, but communicating with fans is ok, but when it comes to communicating with each other it should always be off social media and in private. Having it on public show isn't a great look for either of them.

And the US being the litigation capital or the world...lawsuits would have been filed...public stuff is just too ugly...although there are those who thrive on it...I'm happy the boyz keep working...cause opening beauty shops don't pay the bills

 It was my second thought when i saw this scene.

First one was about that it's so obvious that he is not comfortable when Forth shows him off like a prize. The way he hide his hand kinda tells it.

In this particular scene the word wife is just so wrong. It suggests that it is all a joke. I have tried repeatedly listening to the Thai (which I don't speak anyway) but I can't tell if in the original he is using the word for wife or boyfriend - it is too rapid.

As a joke and a bit of banter I could accept that friends ask - how's the wife ? but the answer should be : the boyfriend is fine. Perhaps I am getting too picky in my old age but wife strikes me as a joke whilst boyfriend is being serious about the relationship.

The previous scenes make it clear that the friends are fine with the idea of the two guys tying up (As the shot panned to the window i just knew that Cake would make an appearance - she is like a Greek Chorus expressing what the audience thinks). Beam ought to be more comfortable with the situation amongst the group as they are all in on the secret. The statement about drink and girls was misplaced. Why would you say to your mate's prospective boyfriend : he can't live without girls ?

It is all irrelevant because Beam needs to be annoyed so that Forth can go off upset so that they can make up again. Pair of drama queens :)

I wonder what the reaction would be in the forums if Beam described Forth as his wife ?

Tbh, i think in the series reality Beam doesn't really mind being called like this. He and Forth under same illusion that bottom=wife & top=husband. He himself called Yo Pha's wifie once. So on one side he is all "i'm man, i can do hard work too, i'm not some girl for you to protect" but on the other he is low key accept that as long as they positions in bed don't change (even though it happened just once yet) he is a wife.

The important phrase there is : series reality.

Here is the thing. When they first go to bed Beam asks to top Forth and Forth says : No.

That still means that Beam had it in his mind that he would be the dominant partner - he was the one that took the initiative and asked for sex. However, there has been the underlying suggestion that Forth (who was openly flirting with Wayo) has some experience with men. That leads to the initial role reversal. Forth tops Beam ; I think in part because Beam has no experience in the matter (er ! if we are going to do this can I be the active guy ?) whereas Forth does at least have some and has the confidence to lead the way.

I said initial role reversal because later on Forth will tell Pha and Wayo that he and Beam had tried many positions and did they want the details (Wayo's eyeballs suggesting that micro-details would be even better) ?

To my mind then, that does not eliminate the possibility that during the course of the night Beam became more active in the proceedings. It is just left unsaid.

In real life there are lots of men who work in trades that are not physically laborious. It might be considered that being a doctor is less strenuous than being an engineer, but that depends on circumstances. Beam working in a children's hospital in the jungle kilometres from the nearest rail head or road could turn out to be far more physically demanding than Forth standing around as an overseer on a building site.

Then you come back to series reality and we find ourselves back in the strangely hetero-defined world of BL. Doctor Beam cuts up bits of paper and sticks them on a wall whilst Mr Engineer is outside with his shirt off, getting sunburned, knocking a few nails in. Hello ! my mother can knock nails into a piece of wood :) there's nothing manly about it. There is still that juxtaposition though that Forth is the one that displays all the affection. He is the one that wants to cuddle and hold hands ; he is the one that gets the juniors to chant his love. So far all Beam has done is drop a hammer on his head.

Exactly! Who's T or B depends on a lot of factors at the time. Individual preference, the mood at the time etc. It's not a one or the other situation. Also, it doesn't define a relationship. There's a lot of versatility in gay relationships these days, although I think the "Cirque du Soleil" interactions only happens in fiction as you say, or porn videos and only after lots and lots of practice. :D

A friend of mine once remarked about a ladder sequence in a porn film. He had some explaining to do on his wedding day when we gave him a ladder as a present :D.

Part of the problem is that the books from which some of these series are being taken are quite old. Written for a different time and a very specific audience. The authors probably never dreamed that their works would be read by adult males, which is really weird, when you think about it, because the subjects of their stories are (certainly in this series) adult males.

It's OK I called them drama queens as well. According to the Cambridge dictionary :

Drama queen : someone who gets too upset or angry over small problems.

I liked 2 Moons, but I loved 2 Moons 2. It would be illogical (in my mind) if they changed a working formula. But, as you say we don't know what went on behind closed doors and nothing is set in stone when it comes to the entertainment industry.

I still haven't really seen the first four episodes of this series. In that respect I think I prefer the longer version from the first season.

I have come to like the four actors in the secondary couples and would certainly want to see them back again - well actually, all of the actors, good grief why change again ?

I am not a big fan of Wayo in any case. He is just so wet. There isn't an ounce of raw animal magnetism in his body. For somebody who chased down his prey for years he is remarkably chaste now that he has caught him. "No, no P'Pha we must not kiss in the seclusion of our own bedroom. Those bottles of water I kept trying to give you were not phallic symbols of what I wanted to do to you. In fact P'Pha, what does phallic even mean ?"

Fingers crossed then that "To be continued" means that the green light has already been given.
