hey ya @Kasmic ! thought your name looked familiar. ah, so we were on the mask thread together. so, will we keep bumping into each other in another drama thread with twins/look-alikes? hahahahah....

apparently, moles, birthmarks, freckles are not genetic; so twins can have different distinguishing physical marks that can help to identify them. but with some twins, they resemble each other so much and there is no distinguishing physical marks that it is hard to tell them apart. so it is understandable if the driver didn't pick up that he had picked up min ho but it will be a surprise if the family doesn't pick it up. so yea, maybe they think some heir is better than no heir even if he is a psychotic murderer who should be in jail... that reminds me, min ho said that seon ho has never been to jail. it made me think that min ho has in some form visited jail before. so was he always psychotic? maybe some sort of childhood evil type?

based on the stills you posted of today's episode, looks like they explained how fingerprints can't be used to identify seon ho. smart writer!

wooooaaaaaahhhhhh ~  I think I'm quite addicted to this drama  coz I've been replaying ep 1 and maybe ep 2 later   HAHA  ..  I actually haven't finished phantom coz It's hard to see your fave doing a villain role  but I guess already accepted it   and the fact that he's playing CMH char onto the next level, I'm enjoying this ....   and also I liked all the actors too and the directing also ..

I think I could watch another drama with the two of them as the leads ..

ALSO, the doctor said the PJW's memory may be distorted and I actually wonder when the truck scene was shown,  is it CMH's case did PJW dealt first of the case of the gang boss??    I think we'll have our minds in a roller coaster of imagining .. and that's what I also liked about this drama ... 

and I also feel like the father knows it was MH who was alive .. telling the whole world it was SH who died would be causing the stocks of the company to drop and may cause them to loose the company and the fact that he lost a son, he wouldnt want to lose the other...   and also the case of the wife, she has her reasons   and I also wonder who was the father of Eunsoo, is it MH? OMG if he was ...

btw, I think Yuri's acting was fine tho,  many didn't liked her playing a FL 

                                

ep2 was a heartbreaking ep  again ... I'm really looking forward to ep 3 ~!!  .... this and Voice are the only dramas I've been following now since RDTK and WKBJ ended ... I hate ongoing dramas, i hate waiting but   huhuhu

@irilight  that's good to know but i'll give you a heads up, comparing to all other of UKJ villain roles, this one I think is on another level .. coz MH is quite psychotic    but well enjoy  , if you want to watch him on his nonvillain roles, check out dream high or scent of a woman .. he's totally different

And YAY!! an increase in ratings~!!        and btw, I really like the opening of this drama, well suited to the genre

I have the same questioned to...I wonder why Min Ho knew that the child is not Seun Ho child while he even doesn't know where Seun Ho lives. Yun Hee knew that he's Min Ho just by seeing his eyes (It's hard to mark off identical brother if they not so closed) And How can Min Ho really good treat the son just like a real dad 

So far i really like the 2 episodes. Happy to hear the ratings still increased.

Interesting points you bring. I do not think I have ever been around twins. I can only recall the movie "Secret Love" with Yoo Ji-Tae, about twins. The wife clearly knew the difference because her husband is in the hospital. I think I have seen the documentary you mentioned, (or one similar to it). It is an age old question - what contributes more to the character - the genes or the environment. But in the case of Min-Ho and Sun-Ho, they share the same genes and grew up in same environment - yet one is a cold blooded criminal and the other was a righteous man. They were both smart, but one used his intelligence to do good and be productive, while the other uses it to excel in crimes.

that surprised me too. And thank heavens for that. He has so much on his plate to deal with.. Thank God he gets some measure of understanding and care.

Yes, all that you write here makes sense to me. I think all good actors draw on personal experience to bring up the feelings they need to. This story - it brings tears to my eyes, when I think of his horror as an actor to imagine these scenes in real life.

I liked that too. As did his mom. (but he can wave that away to her "madness."
He threatened her so far with the knowledge that Seon-Ho was not the father of her child.
But imagine her horror as she realizes not only that her husband is dead, but he was killed by his brother, who now pretends to be him. I'd be scared too. She feels powerless against him.

Well @Kasmic, you were right on!

Mother knew immediately and laughed at them thinking she could not recognize her son. Min-Ho, in turn - although being weary - can laugh it off to her "madness."



Father had a stoic face and he remarks to himself, that at least he has one son remaining alive....

Well, it's different on its rivals, which are both sageuk (Hwarang, and the upcoming Rebel). Let's see if Defendant can sustain it (but I also hope so).

Yes, I also think the father knows.
I think it is a tough call. He said that at least he has one son alive.
I can understand on one hand, that he does not want to point the finger at Min-Ho as the murderer of Sun-Ho; But I also wonder - does he not want justice be done to Sun-Ho? I think it will be emotionally tough for him to live with his decision, watching Min-Ho (and with Sun-Ho's family), knowing he is Sun-Ho's murderer.

@peggygordon OMG. Really? I did not expect this kind of a twist.... Oh. please no.. The one person who is really kind to Jung-Woo iin jail.

I am praying she is alive...
That after this horrible ordeal, when Jung-Woo will get out of prison, he still has his family to go back to.

After watching ep. 2, I think that the autopsy doctor was pretty stupid to take the side of a killer and falsify the results. Did he really think he would live through it?

Jung-Woo is so smart and observant. He does not miss a beat. Just like when he pushed Min-Ho aside in order to hear Sun-Ho's last words.



Min-Ho knows he cannot buy Jung-Woo. He is weary and afraid of him.



We have yet to find out what he did and what actually happened.

Jung-Woo's situation is heart-breaking.
I do not even know if the psychologist at the prison is not bought by Min-Ho. What do you all think? Lots of what she said made sense to me.... I wonder how Jung-Woo can have been sentenced to death with his mental condition?

Min-Ho bribed the jail warden it seems..
But Joon-Hyuk told them at prison to treat Jung-Woo well.

Yeon-Hee has to live with her husband's murderer and pretend he is her husband. How horrifying is that...!   

Eun-Hye needs to prove herself with Jung-Woos' case. It is like her last opportunity to prove herself.

We still need to find out what really happened. What was it in that suitcase.
The psychologist said that Jung-Woo's amnesia is a way for him to protect himself from the truth. That makes sense to me. We still need to know what is that truth.
We know that his lucid moments, - I would not want to be in Min-Ho's shoes when Jung-Woo comes out.
