Lee Joon Gi and Lee Ji Eun (IU) met for the first time on January 8, 2016 for the script reading of their historical romance drama, Moon Lovers - Scarlet Heart: Ryeo. Joon Gi portrayed Wang So, the 4th Prince of Goryeo, and Ji Eun portrayed a modern day woman, Go Ha Jin, that gets transported back in time to the body of Hae Soo, a noble lady.

Filming for the drama took place between January 20, 2016 and July 1, 2016, giving Joon Gi and Ji Eun the opportunity to become close with one another. As Scarlet Heart: Ryeo was airing on SBS from August 29, 2016 to November 1, 2016, it was also revealed that Joon Gi and Ji Eun had kept in touch after filming on a daily basis through a cast group chat.

From the contents of the drama itself, the various BTS photos and videos, and the multitude of interviews before, during, and after the airing of Scarlet Heart: Ryeo, Stargazers were blessed with the ability to watch JoonU's relationship progress and bloom. From mere co-stars to incredibly close friends and, now, to the possibility of something more... every day is filled with wonder and excitement as our ship slowly sails on a journey towards our destination.

Hello fellow shippers!!!  Sigh. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU @akinahana89, my dearest chingu, for starting the thread. @qwenli You're totally right. We can't ship them in real life since IU already has a boyfriend...BUT I'm still going to enjoy shipping them to my heart's delight here since they're just cute together in their BTS.

So did you guys notice in this gif (thanks by the way @MoOnLoVeRz)...I think this was brought up in our drama thread...but I didn't get a chance to opine...why is IU patting Joongi's chest?  LOL...regardless of why, I think it's adorable that his response to her pat is him reaching out to touch her arm.

Joon Gi also try to find the page in his book and he also hold IU hand for seconds, oh man instinct hahaa.. Maybe if someone have it,  you can share the gifs here ^^ thank you chingu.

After episode 11, I really can't wait to see how they will develop deeper feelings for each other. I'm ready. Not sure about the heartbreaking later. But I can't wait the roller-coaster ride with them.

I think I haven't seen that yet haha OR maybe I already saw it but not analyzing it LOL

I just recently following closely to Moon Lovers, since I only make a time recently too. So I guess I miss many of their BTS.

@Gabi Bros LOL. The part that I find most interesting about this section of the BTS is this particular kiss was purely practice. This is right after he said 'dashi' for again.
