He's willing to do anything for her aka couldn't "reject" her (his words lol) when she invited him for her concert. He adjusts and changes his fanmeeting dates for her despite the short notice. He openly admits he's dreamt of her. (like damn boi) He wishes her all the best for her concert (in Chinese lol and in Korean). He believes she is the BEST. He praises her every chance he gets. He always says she's beautiful. He's a gentleman but an "extra"-gentleman when it comes to her, never forgets to hold her hand *coughs* offer his arm for her to hold. He obviously isn't afraid of the haters. He doesn't care what others will say. What else? The list goes on tbh. He goes all out. Just like any other man inlove. Popular Post sublimelyheureuse
After today's developments, I'm of the opinion that anyone who doesn't think Lee Joon-gi and Lee Ji-eun are about to become an item is delusional. Fan service and friendship only go so far. When I woke up this morning, the first images I saw on this thread were of Lee Joon-gi arriving at the airport, for his flight to Taipei. My impressions were that he looked subdued, and absorbed in thoughts that took enough of his attention that he only cursorily acknowledged his fans. The usual smile was replaced by a more serious - and somewhat somber - expression. Then came the video of his arrival in Taiwan, and the shoulder roll, before he walked out to greet the screaming crowd. At that moment, he reminded me of a boxer, psyching himself up as he's about to enter a ring. When he posted that particular video (courtesy of BlackHole) to his Instagram account with the caption "Long time no see my Taiwan Love," I had to wonder if he were speaking to IU. Whether he were or were not including her in the "Taiwan Love," his early-morning distant demeanor, the shoulder roll and boxer psych-up, his words in support of IU during the press conference, his appearance at her concert, and his Instagram picture of himself with her concert stub and just one emoticon all added up - for me - to a man who decided, very consciously, to leave every bit of his emotion and strength on the public stage in Taiwan. He knows exactly what he's doing...and so does IU know what she's doing. The brilliance in their strategy is that they are leaving a trail of crumbs that fans can choose to decode or not. But, either way, no one can say news of their relationship fell, unheralded, from the sky. At the same time, they are being utterly professional and not - to my mind - cheesy or over-the-top. Why not? Because the mutual respect and admiration between them is so strong and the energy they emit is of the purest kind of joy. Anyone can hook up. People do it all the time. Celebrities in just about every country fall into and out of physical relationships, constantly. But when Lee Joon-gi asked for the words to congratulate and cheer on IU in a language his fans speak well, but he does not, and then asked to be able to repeat the words in his native tongue, in case they had not been stated strongly enough, I teared up. The mechanics of sex are easy. But whole-hearted respect does not come by every day. IU has worked so incredibly hard to be where she is, and from such a young age. To have Lee Joon-gi recognize her sacrifices and talent and back her publicly is better to me than wine, roses, chocolate, or all the romance in the world. Lee Joon-gi basically endorsed IU, using his brand to back hers. Edit: Another bit of the brilliance in their strategy is choosing to be this demonstrative in Taiwan, rather than in Korea. This way, they can judge the ripple effects among k-netizens, without having to deal with any potential furor face-to-face.

She'll change either during a video or a guest spot when they do their own songs.

I wholeheartedly agree with everything you stated. I know many on the thread have expressed concern because they don't want either of our OTP to be hurt or negatively impacted by haters. I have that concern as well. But you bring up a point that we haven't touched on enough. Neither IU/Lee Ji Eun nor Lee Joon Gi have done anything to be ashamed of. It's made me so very happy to see our IU drop her guard and enjoy herself without reservation or hesitation. She trusts Joongi and admires him, and I am so very, very grateful. It's also gratifying to know that he can truly be himself with her -- the cool, the dorky and everything in between. Isn't that something we all strive for in the relationships that mean the most to us, be they friendships, or partnerships? Because they're both extremely popular and always have numerous activities going on, there truly will never be a great time for news of a breakup...or a new relationship to surface. Timing can be manipulated for a best possible outcome...this is true. But the bottom line at the end of the day is this. They have done nothing wrong. They only continue to bring out the best in each other. Thanks so much Chingu for the reminder.

Popular Post sublimelyheureuse
@kriswu, @chi13lou, and @meahri_1, thanks for the love! Figuring that Lee Joon-gi and Lee Ji-eun are between a rock and a hard place, what with needing their fans' encouragement and support as much as they need to nurture their personal choices and inner lives, I think they are comporting themselves remarkably well. They have refrained from giving mixed signals and instead opted to be clear and true to their hearts. They have neither promised nor denied anything. They have nothing to be ashamed of and everything to celebrate. IU is actually the best person that Lee Joon-gi could probably openly date, since the invective of hateful "fans" is nothing new to either of them. She even has her own legal team, at the ready. ;-) How they are creating space for themselves to explore the bounds of their relationship in such a public milieu is inspiring to behold. In many ways, Lee Joon-gi reminds me of a savvy boxer, who knows his opponent well and has no intention of backing down, in pursuit of his prize. If this analogy can be stretched any further, then Lee Ji-eun reminds me of a manager, who eggs the boxer on and has his back, too.

Maybe one of the reasons is because she is shy and not used to it so she ends up being all awkward I still remember when poor Jonghyun (her close friend btw) hugged her once it was the most awkward hug I've seen in my entire life.
