This whole time I had no idea Melvin Sia was a Malaysian! Shame on me LoL:P Anyways it's always nice to see our local talent do well abroad:D I like how Melvin is all James Bond-ish in this Drama eheh. Not likin' the lead girl though, she's annoying:crazy: I actually enjoy the second couple so far, though it looks more like a noona-dongsaeng romance:)

I agree with Latte, the second couple has me watching this drama without the subs. I love the themes between them (young man, older woman; fake marriage, real feelings). I am also a fan of both actors. Jennifer Hong is great in everything that she is in, and I became a fan of Yorke Sun in Bittersweet. These two are awesome together, and his love for her is so genuine that you can't help but to root for them to become real.

As far as the lead actress, I actually think she is a decent actress, but her character isn't quite written the best. It makes no sense for her to be this smart, detailed and tenacious investigative reporter, but be totally naive and clueless when it comes to personal relationships. And no, I am not criticizing her inexperience. A woman can be inexperienced and still be smart and savvy like she is with her job. It is almost like she is two different people. Taiwanese dramas have this whole "let the grown woman act like a little girl" thing really bad. Allow her to still be her tenacious self. Maybe they will write more character development for her. I do think that she and Melvin Sia have great chemistry. I just adore him. He is perfect lead male material, and I am glad they realized it, because when he was always portraying the second male lead, it was laughable because he would upstage the main lead.

I cannot stand the hater at her job, Ella. She just had to reveal to everyone that Xin Yi wasn't really married. Misery really does love company. Plus, this drama also has the actor that played the army Sargent in Bittersweet, he works at V-Focus too, he is so good looking. I will keep watching, I think this will be good. :)

i just discovered this series and i love it. My favorite part is the romance between the bodyguard and reporter .. it has my heart going on overdrive. and also the mystery about what has the politician so worried about something that nobody so far knows about it. this enticed my curiosity

Hi. Nice to see other people out here are watching V-Focus, too. I've just gotten hooked on this drama, binge watching all the episodes.  Love the quirky STP couple and their (I hope) noona romance. And the OTP, too. Their relationship gets better and more interesting every episode. And  I agree they've got that chemistry! Melvin Sia makes me smile every time he appears on screen. So sweet and handsome. And I keep replaying the clip with Shi Shi singing that love ballad. Loving that song even though the drama replays it every episode, too. One more thing: Very happy that the lead actress and Jennifer Hong's character are friends. It's a real relief to watch a drama with BFFs who support and care about each other instead of being in nasty competition.

The last couple of episodes (20-23) have been seriously hilarious! So, let's discuss our STP first. I was starting to get a little annoyed with Xin Yi because she is determined to keep Guo Long in the "little brother zone", but it just isn't fitting. 1) He's been pretending to be your husband/boyfriend since episode 1. 2) He won over your parents and even promised to take good care of you to your father. 3) Even after the reveal that they were in a fake marriage, he has been  by her side, and not as some little brother. 4) When she was hiding under the covers in her apartment because of the flying cockroach, he rushed right over to save her. 5) When he went on the blind date from the marriage agency, she practically clawed that girl's eyes out as soon as she saw how happy she was at how much money he makes. Can we all tell her together....

XIN YI, YOU'RE ALREADY IN LOVE WITH KE GUO LONG!!!!

Now, they are spending all of this time together trying to get Zhi Heng and Ruo Qin back together, I get the feeling that love will pass over to them. Remember that scene where Ruo Qin and Tina thought Zhi Heng was in the shower, and they were admiring his chest, only for them to find out it was Guo Long? Yeah, I get the feeling Xi Yin will come to admire that physique as well.

Our OTP. Ruo Qin is the type of character, where there are times when you really like her and then there are times when you can't stand the things that she does. However, I really like how she confessed to Zhi Heng. She was honest, and came right out and told him that she has never liked anyone this much before. I respect that. This is all new to her, and so she will make some mistakes. My favorite Zhi Heng-Ruo Qin ally is K.K. Who knew a robot could be so cute. K.K. clearly has boarded the train of our OTP. I was glad the writers tidied up that whole storyline with Tina. Cute character, but she is a child. Let's keep this drama for the grownups.

I still want to know who was following Ruo Qin and why?

I really like what you’ve written. Yes, Xin Yi, you’re already in love with Ke Guo Long!  I’ve felt a bit impatient with her reactions towards him, but I know it’s part of the comedy.  He’s so deft at wooing her despite her obliviousness.

I also really liked that scene with Ruo Qin when she was so honest with Zhi Heng about her feelings and needs.  And I love the robot K.K., too!

What I really like about this series, too, is the way it tackles serious stuff within all the fun silliness.  E.g., both the OTP and STP struggle with some tough stuff— Xin Yi feels the need to conceal her strength and true self to attract that forever man--Zhi Heng wants to conceal his painful memory of his mother’s death. It’s not easy to risk losing love by sharing parts of yourself you find unlovable or too painful to share.  I really respect Ruo Qin’s character for knowing that honesty and trust are the way to get close. Not an easy thing for anybody.

I also like the way both men,  Ke Guo Long and Zhi Heng, are tender with the women they love. That scene where Ke Guo Long stuffs his ear with tissues so Xin Yi can cry her heart out.  Zhi Heng’s back hug with Ruo Qin when he covers her eyes and asks her to be patient with him, and then wipes away her tears.  Loved both scenes.

Also, too, it’s nice to see female leads wear boots and sneakers that they can actually run in if they have to—not just cute ankle-breaking high heels--considering all the bad guys around!

But not sure either who is following Ruo Qin and why?  Watched the episode raw without subs before work this morning.  Guess that was the purse snatcher? Something with that memory card? Maybe it was revealed with subs?  Hmmm, can't wait to watch hopefully with subs on the bus home.  :)
