The song took No.1 on charts upon its release on August 8 and has stayed within top 10 since then. On August 14, the song reclaimed No.1.

 

Along with “WHISTLE”, “BOOMBAYAH” is also staying in top places on music charts.

BLACKPINK is YG Entertainment’s first new girl group in seven years since 2NE1. Their outstanding talent and beauty have drawn keen attention from music fans and the music scene. The members have built their capabilities as entertainers, by getting YG’s hard training for four to six years.

Their debut stage was awesome! Congratulations!!! I've known Jennie and Rose before because they featured on GD's songs.
 
Thought Jennie's genre was RNB ~ the way she sang her part on Black (BTW, I love hers among 3 versions) but I was wrong. This girl is a total performer and has overwhelming power.
 
Comments about Rose hitting high notes didn't surprise me because I know she can do it effortlessly. I personally like her part on Without You because she nailed it ~ hehe ~ and what surprised me was her dancing on the practice video. I suddenly got confused who's the main dancer ~ hehe ~ I mean, she worked hard and the result was beyond expectation.
 
I'm trying not to have favorites but since I've already known these two before, I wanted to check on them only. I must say that I failed because you cannot just ignore the other two members.
 
Lisa is very talented. I don't have a more precise word to describe her. She can do anything. That's it!
 
Jisoo is very charming and pretty. Her voice is soothing.
 
Lastly, I just love that there's no leader assigned to this group. I always think that it's intimidating when a group has a leader because it makes one person stand out and the other members have to work harder to get noticed. That's just my opinion tho ~ hehe
