the plot is diverging a lot from the novel for this week's eps. they even change the sex of some characters and hinting at a random hetero side cp...

i feel like every side character is super confusing and loves talking in circles about schemes and politics. this drama isn't long enough to have this many characters! i hope the plot can tie it altogether in the end into one big reveal, but if it doesn't don't then i don't care for it either lol. in the mean time, tao mo's court hearings aren't exactly csi material, but whatever, it's not a detective drama anyway

that brings me to being here for drama gu she...it's honestly a super slow relationship, but i don't feel bored bc the way they are portraying gu she here. he's so much less of an ice prince to tao mo. like he's still a scowling ice block to everyone else, but it's easy to see he's 20 degrees warmer towards tao mo. i'm addicted to these pleased little mouth twitches he does every time tao mo says some really naive/cute thing lol. and when they are alone together, gu she suddenly has facial expressions and talks twice as much! it cracks me up 

i can also tell what kind of seme characters chen peng is into bc gu she reminds me of an ziyan from like love lol

First 2 episode annoyed the hell out of me because I don't like dumb/naive characters and TM was SO FAKE (way overdoing) his "IMMA IDIOT" acting. 

After that, it was quite a pleasure. Plenty of eye candy. I'm kind of shocked to hear that it ends in 12 episodes? Because from the sheer amount of characters and plot intricacies, it felt as if it needed at least 25 episodes to really explore everything....

I know there's a wedding? Not sure how I feel about that... Wedding feels absolutely unrealistic in that time period and I'm all about realism..

But as a bit of a pioneer in the area (Ancient Chinese BL series) I have to say I'm quite proud of everything. Hopefully I get to see the Chinese censorship lifted sometime in my lifetime, because China is really capable of producing some REALLY good BL series if they weren't so limited by tiny budgets, legal risks and production roadblocks. 

Edit: Holy heck: Where the heck did all the BL webseries come from? When I was last in tune with the internet, the closest thing anyone ever got to BL was NiF O_O

Is anyone subbing this in English anywhere? It's not overt enough for me to enjoy without subs (unlike the fun times of Go Princess Go and the 'unsubbed' love that dare not speak it's name between my two boys 9th and .. the other one).

from what i can see in the trailer the wedding has no guests, no parents or relatives; only their servants are there.

in the source material nobody knows about the wedding and of course they are not recognized by law. they just wanted a ceremony for themselves. that's probably not unrealistic for committed couples from any time period

I've watched all the ep I'm so disappointed they cut Gu She n Tao Mo scenes that we seen in trailers, there's no wedding and cliffhanger ending. Can someone tell me if they'll release cut scenes and HE later like UL or not? Any official announcement?

i'm very confused bc ep 12 ends abruptly just as the antagonist is scheming for the big showdown/climax. and i don't mean like a 4 or 5 mins cut but it feels like 1 or 2 eps is missing. to say unfinished would be an understatement lol. that's why i don't think anyone knows what to expect next week other than the wedding scene...but there HAS to be something else, right???

It's like they'll release more ep or season 2. There must be has something if they don't want to disappointed fans. 

They must be changed it to more focusing on political scheme because the ban. Yeah we just can only hope "full version" will be focusing on the cp and have proper ending.
