Synopsis:

After her parents' divorce, Shen Luo grew up being mistreated by her stepmother and stepbrother. To make a break from her difficult life, she moves out of the city to a small island cottage. One day, Luo finds an injured and unconscious Wu Ju Lan at her doorstep. As she nurses him back to health, Ju Lan appears to Luo as a man without roots, a job or resources, but she can’t help falling in love with him. Ju Lan uses his mystical powers and intellect to try to make Luo’s life better. I have been waiting been patiently waiting for this drama since the end of May..   I love William Feng & Juang Min..  I did not expect grandad to be the friend who had the pearl.  But there are few people after the pearl.   As I understand Grandad is gonna die..  Hayden Bea is reminding me Tiffany Tang when she was much younger, she has her charm. Her acting is not irritating. I can no longer watch The King of Romance & Behind Your Smile because of the leading females. That was the reason I dropped When a snail falls in love.   Hayden Bea is doing great with such an experienced actors like William Feng, Juang Min. Have never watched any dramas of the evil friend but I did not like his character since the scene I saw him. His character was shouting I am gonna be the evil one.   I am so looking forward to the upcoming episodes how their love is gonna develop, William with long hair he looked more like a sexy vampire rather than a merman...

@sugarplum892 Thank you for starting this topic. Looks like an interesting fantasy love story between a male mermaid and a human female. Just marathon episodes 1 - 6. @0ly40 Thank you for posting all the episodes. Makes It easier for those who haven't started watching this drama yet.

We learn at the beginning of the drama that Wu Jun Lan the mermaid is betrayed by his human friend Da Xiaolin, by taking his most prized possession; the "mysterious spiritual  pearl", a hundred and fifty years ago. WJL needs the pearl to stay alive. WJL is summoned one day by Violet, the leader of the Nuwu  tribe because they have found the location where the pearl is hidden. WJL needs to find the pearl since he will die in three months if the pearl isn't found. I believe the pearl is needed to keep him alive. WJL is over a thousand years old but still looks youthful. Looks like they have eternal life.The pearl is in the possession of our main female lead , Xiao Luo's grandfather who is a Descendent of Da Xiaolin. WJL befriends XL,  and lives with her at the GF's home, because that's where the pearl is and he's running out of time. WJL is not the only one looking for the mysterious pearl. The Black Wizards  organization is also interested in possessing the pearl. They were the ones that hired Da Xiaolin to steal it from WJL. But greedy Da Xiaolin decided he must own the pearl so he steals the pearl from the Black Lizard while he  is sleeping. So the mysterious pearl is passed down to each generation and now the pearl is in XL's GF's possession.

XL's childhood friend , Da Tou, unknown to XL, works for the Black Lizards and is assigned to find the spiritual pearl. In episode 6, An ,a Black Wizard, appears just as WJL takes the heart shape case from grandfather and snatches the case away from WJL. As they are fighting the case falls to the ground, opens but the pearl is gone. WJL is now desperate to find the pearl as time is running out and WJL is losing his super powers and growing weaker. We have a new character, Wu Laing Laing, a psychologist from the Nuwu tribe to help WJL in his quest to find the pearl. I'm not sure if this spiritual pearl is needed to save all the lives of the mermaids as this information hasn't been revealed. The main leads haven't fallen in love yet so much more to come as the drama goes forward. Another surprise, looks like WL, the psychologist, and An from the Black Wizard , were lovers in college.

@rocs25This drama is shown every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. There are two episodes a day so we get to watch six episodes a week which is one more than the dailies. I hope you continue watching because it will get more interesting as their love story develops. WJL always looks sad, and probably this is due to the fact that he is under pressure to find the precious spiritual pearl because it could mean life or death for him. WJL has finally learned to trust XL. She will be a great emotional support for him now that they both trust each other, they will gradually fall in love. I like the fantasy part when WJL and An's super powers are shown. Really neat! Also the pearl is no ordinary pearl. It has this blue glow and able to move in the air! Looking forward to Monday!!

Thanks for explanation of episodes, because I couldn't understand anything in raw episodes. I hope this series will be subtitled.
