Plot

Choi Soo-Ah (Kim Ha-Neul) works as an assistant purser at an airline. She has been working there for 12 years. Her husband (Shin Sung Rok) is a pilot and they have a 12-years-old daughter (Kim Hwan Hee). Choi Soo-Ah thinks she is content with her life, but she meets Seo Do-Woo (Lee Sang-Yun). Her life changes. Seo Do-Woo works as a part-time instructor in architecture. He has a bright and warm heart. He is married (to Jang Hee Jin) and they have a daughter, but a shocking incident occurs. Due to this, he becomes confused and Choi Soo-Ah comes into his life.

Lee Sang-yunplays Seo Do-woo. He is a part-time architecture instructor. He is pleasurable and well mannered who has a beautiful wife and daughter, but he falls into confusion after a shocking occurance. Choi Soo-ah slowly begins to soak into his life.

 
Kim Ha-neul takes on the role of Choi Soo-ah. She's the assistant manager stewardess of 12 years who married a pilot named Jin-seok and has a daughter in the 5th grade. She calls herself a wife and mother of 85 points but her life takes a turn when she meets Seo Do-woo (Lee Sang-yoon).

Sin Seong-rok appears as Choi Soo-ah's husband Park Jin-seok. He is from the Air Force and is a pilot at the moment. He falls in love with Soo-ah right away and expresses his love for her. On the other hand, he's authoritative and has a strong ego.
 
Choi Yeo-jin is Song Mi-jin, Choi Soo-ah's friend and co-worker. She's chic-looking but she is a professional when it comes to doing her work. She is a key character who knows all the complicated secrets in the drama.
 
Jang Hee-jin is Seo Do-woo's wife Kim Hye-won. She is a skilled curator who is able to do anything. However, she almost obsessed with Do-woo and her work and she also has a secret.

Kim Ha Neul and Lee Sang Yoon are teaming up for a new drama! The two of them have been confirmed as the leads for the upcoming KBS project “Going to the Airport” (literal translation).

The drama is said to be centered around human relationships and asks the question, “Is it possible to have a dignified relationship in the world of married men and women?”

Kim Ha Neul will be playing the role of Choi Soo Ah, who has worked as a flight attendant for 12 years. In that time she got married to a colleague and is currently the mother of a 10-year-old daughter. However, her life changes when at the age of 36 she meets Seo Do Woo.

Lee Sang Yoon plays Seo Do Woo, a cheerful and handsome lecturer at an architecture school, whose happy family life with his wife and child are thrown into chaos by a shocking incident. Choi Soo Ah comes into his life during this turmoil.

This is Kim Ha Neul’s first drama in four years, since the SBS project “A Gentleman’s Dignity.” Lee Sang Yoon has appeared in several dramas over the years such as “Liar Game” and “Twenty Again.”

The drama is expected to air sometime in September.

"Road to the Airport" is being highly anticipated as the two actors who are well-known for their proven acting performances in melodramas have been confirmed.

"Road to the Airport" depicts thoughts about relationship between people. The drama begins with a question, 'Couldn't there be any decent relationship between a married man and a married woman in this world?" While she regards herself an excellent mom, with the score of 85% out 100 she gave herself as a mom, her life at the age of 36 gets to face a new phase as she meets Seo Do-woo.

Lee Sang-yoon will play Seo Do-woo. He is a part-time instructor in architecture, a man of delightful and well-mannered personality. He falls into confusion due to a shocking incident while he has been living a happy life with his wife and daughter. In the chaotic confusion he gets to face, Choi Soo-ha steps into his life gradually.

The highly anticipated KBS 2TV's new Wednesday & Thursday drama is slated for September this year.

Oh the story interesting.  I can somehow picture how the story line will go. I think. Ha. Is this confirmed? I'm always on the lookout for new drama that tackles something more mature and more than the usual girl meets boy rich girl poor boy type.

Casting is off to a great start for upcoming Wednesday-Thursday KBS romantic melodrama, On the Way to the Airport. Lovely actress Kim Haneul (Gentleman’s Dignity) and dimple-cheeked man-boy Lee Sang-yoon (Twenty Again) have both been confirmed as the leads. Having seen them in their latest drama projects, I can guarantee they both have acting chops. Plus, both have experience working in dramas about forbidden love.

On the Way to the Airport explores the age-old question: Can women and men just be friends? How does marriage affect making friendships with people of the opposite sex? Kim Haneul and Lee Sang-yoon play married individuals (married to other people) who meet by fate, and become more involved in each others’ lives.

Kim plays 12-year veteran airplane stewardess Choi Soo-ah who fell in love with her pilot in her earlier days and promptly got married. They now have an adorable daughter in fifth grade. Good-natured and sociable, Soo-ah is a born natural at her job as a stewardess. When not at work, she rates herself as an 85-point mom and wife. That is until she meets Seo Do-woo.

Lee has taken on the role of Seo Do-woo, who is a part-time university lecturer in architecture. He’s described as a cheerful upright attractive man with a very harmonious family life until one day a shocking event occurs that throws his world into chaos. 

This new drama On the Way to the Airport is set to air after Uncontrollably Fond in September.

11 months wait since LSY last tvN rom-com hit drama 'Second Time Twenty Years Old'.

Perhaps, this upcoming drama will be a romance melodrama? Let's wait for more details from KBS.

Kim Ha-neul to return to the drama scene

Actress Kim Ha-neul is all set to return to the small screen. 

A person working for the drama team of a local broadcasting station told Ilgan Sports on Tuesday that Kim will play the role of a flight attendant in the upcoming drama series “A Way to the Airport.” 

The drama is scheduled to air sometime in September. 

The 38-year-old actress will reportedly play the role of Choi Su-ah, who has been working for a cabin crew for 12 years, and the series will deal with concerns and frustration of people in their late 30s and early 40s. 

Although Kim appeared in the melodrama film “Remember You” in 2014, this will be Kim’s first drama series since “A Gentleman’s Dignity” in 2012.

It is also Kim’s first project since she got married in March. 

Having started out in 1996 as a fashion model, Kim has been appearing in dramas and films, mostly romantic comedies, and she is often dubbed the queen of romantic comedy.

Lee Sang Yoon (born August 15, 1981) is a South Korean actor. Lee Sang Yoon was picked out of a crowd on the streets of Yeouido by his former agency director at the age of 24. Making his entertainment debut in 2005 in a Hite Beer commercial, he went on to star in several television series. He won Best New Actor at the 2010 MBC Drama Awards for Home Sweet Home. Lee is best known for his starring roles in Life Is Beautiful, The Duo, My Daughter Seo-young, Goddess of Fire, Angel Eyes and Liar Game.
